It's a pretty nerdy question but how far away did Vader/Anakin die from his home planet? I mean: What is the distance between Tatooine and the Endor system?

 

The galactic disc is around 100,000 to 120,000 light years from edge to edge, depending on the source you pick.

On the more recent canon maps, the gap betweenthe two planets looks to be comparable to "1 galactic radius"



so you're looking at a bit more than 50,000 light years away at absolute minimum, and a bit more than 60,000 light years away, maximum.

Call it "half the galaxy away" and you'd be about right.

The answer in both Legends and Newcanon is that there's a whole lot of "hyperspace anomalies" in the less-explored side - which is the side where Thrawn comes from, where the Final Order is based, and so on.

 

Just imagine loads of hyperspace potholes.

 

There's speculation in-universe that the anomalies are all that remain of a "wall" created by a super-powerful alien race, to keep something dangerous out of one half of the galaxy.

 

Or possibly grysk related?

 

Nobody knows exactly what the wall was supposed to keep out (assuming there was one). The speculation tends to revolve around scarier beings than the Vong - "eldritch abominations" as TV Tropes would describe it.

 

Did Hayden purposefully dye his hair for Revenge of the Sith? Normally his hair is dark blond (as can be seen in AOTC and most of his other movies) but in ROTS it looks a bit darker - more "brownish".

Not that it matters but maybe there is a symbolic reason for the hair color change?
