I know some folk hate hammy fan service but I like a few cheeky lines here and there.

 

I am one for a larger universe and love to see new concepts and characters. However, if you're going to show similar characters we grew up with, then show them. IG-11 is not IG-88, 1-JAC is not 4-LOM but make them look like them. Don't care for this, just make a new design then.

 

Yeah I was hoping it was 4 LOM too. To give him finally a cool scene outside of just standing. And what a great way it would have been to introduce his capabilities then hunting THE Obi-Wan Kenobi

 

I wonder why they not using original bounty hunters, is because they are covered in comics or they just to copy them without all the lore baggage.

 

I do think it’s odd. I’m not sure if this one is the same model as 4-LOM but the most fascinating thing about 4-LOM is that he’s a protocol droid that became an assassin/bounty hunter. Like that seems like an anomaly story specific to him. If there’s another bounty hunter protocol droid almost exactly like him…idk

 

We see lots of droids in the SW Universe that look similar, there's an R series on every street and 3PO series in every conference room. The IG series were designed for warfare so no surprise they ended up as Bounty Hunters and the LOM series had dodgy programming. Besides we don't even have a clear enough image of 1-JAC to see how similar it is to 4-LOM.

 

I'd rather see 4-LOM with Zuckuss than on his own.

I see I'm not alone on this as it doesn't. Are sense to me, but I get it as maybe they are saving 4-LOMs story. It would be better to see him team up with Zuckuss.

 

I havent read all the posts so apologies if this has already been said.

A young Boba Fett could make a cameo linking the other 2 series of course with Temeura providing the voice. He could help Vader hunt the jedi or just be in a background scene.

Jabba the Hutt with Bib in tow could make a cameo. Would be funny if Bib and Boba were in a scene knowing of course what Boba would do years later..... even if they dont interact. Could be a bit much though.

 

I think we would all benefit from seeing Boba Fett in this timeline. I loved the show and seeing him escape the sarlacc but a younger , ruthless Fett is what I think the majority wanted and it's better to see him in this timeline being a younger actor keeping helmet on doing action scenes chasing down Kenobi. I'm down for this.

 

It would be interesting to have Boba in this or Andor, he'd be an out an out villain. I don't think it has been done before, when a character is villainous in one show and a hero or anti-hero in another at around the same time. It's something that can happen with Anakin/Vader, he's the villain in OWK but can be the hero in Ahsoka.

 

The series opens on planet Stewjon. We see a country cabin with an older couple on the porch, in rocking chairs, gazing at the starry horizon.

Ma: I wonder what our boy is up to right now. I just hope he's safe.
Pa: [stroking chin] Hmmmm.

Cut to Obi-Wan in the middle of a tricky situation.

 

• Why he chose the name "Ben"
• Qui-Gon Jinn (even if it is a disembodied voice speaking)
• Live-action clone wars scenes.

 

He already calls himself Ben in the arc where he goes undercover in TCW.

 

Satine Kryze nicknamed him Ben when they were young.

 

That's what I get for not watching the animated series...

I had no idea. Scratch that off my list.

 

I don't remember the name Ben coming from Satine--that's not mentioned in TCW. But the Google gods tell me that the idea of Satine calling Obi-Wan Ben came from one of the Legends novels ("Kenobi").

I guess that means Disney is free to come up with a different origin of the name, but I suspect they're going to stick to this one.

 

The new novel Brotherhood, just made it canon that Satine called him Ben.

 

Those Google gods I consulted should've been more comprehensive.

I hope we do too but 4 LOM has been in the comics along with Zuckuss. Id check them out.
