Plus, it's unlikely that in all these twenty years of being Lord Vader, he was molested by women... He is very unaccustomed...

Heh, and this is literally me.

 

So, in the latest issue of Crimson Reign, the Knights of Ren thought to be a good idea to visit Lord Vader´s Castle and steal a few things while he was gone. But as I read it, I couldn't help but wonder "would it be a good idea for me to go visit the Dark Lord of the Sith to his Castle uninvited? Or will such display of impoliteness warrant paying the price?"

So, posting again, because... the way Vader is presented in Kenobi´s trailer! That's exactly the way our Sith should be treated IMO. Mysterious, terrifying, and looming over the entire series. Fantastic!

First look at our favorite Sith Lord in the series, and it's already an awe inspiring one... wait until he gets involved!

 

I just hope they don't RetCon the Death Star "We meet at last" scene.

So, third episode of Kenobi was certainly an interesting one for our favorite Sith Lord!

Without giving too much detail away, I´m very happy by the way he was presented. He basically embodies power.

Besides, it probably was one of the biggest victories he have seen him having in live action!

 

Top 5 Vader moment from the last Kenobi episode

 

Havent posted in awhile, but I had to again due to how legendarily sinister Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, is in Kenobi.

He's proven to probably be the Star Wars character that Disney owned Lucasfilm has been the most consistent in potrayal's across all media. That consistency being of pure terror for any poor schmuck in this Sith's way.

 

Uhhh, for me those would be, in no particular order:

- The torturing of those poor miners. They are nothing to him at all, just a tool to make Kenobi reveal himself. Very consistent with what we saw in C. Soule´s comic;
- Igniting the fire to drag Obi Wan through it. The cruelty!
- Reva´s report. Loved how he looked in a throne, and how dismissive he was. He doesn't care about the Grand Inquisitor, about Reva herself or their infighting. He just wants his revenge;
- The first scene, getting his suit on. Pretty powerful, and a very visual take on the part man part machine description of him;
- Him letting Obi Wan go. For me, it was absolutely obvious that he wants to extend Kenobi´s suffering as much as possible. He now knows he is too superior to really enjoy the challenge he was given from his old master... in his mind, he can afford not giving a swift end to such an enjoyable and anticipated experience.

 

Lord Vader is ****ing amazing in the Obi-Wan series.

Admittedly, I was expecting little more than a dumb cartoon villain that Force chokes people left and right like the SW caricature that some EU writers have reduced him to.
I'm glad I was proven wrong.

I just... love that they finally showed us how Vader compensates for his reduced mobility with crafty manipulation of the Force (and surprisingly elegant choreography).

So this is my new ranking of Darth Vader portrayal in the Disney canon:
1. Obi-Wan Kenobi series
2. Kieron Gillen Darth Vader comics (2015)
3. Rogue One

 

Oh, I agree completely. They have been respectful of him as a character, I think. Not only there is nothing hinting at him as a brute, but quite the opposite: he has been one step ahead of everyone with calculating, elegant maneuvering (both mental and physical) that does nothing to diminish the threat he poses as an antagonist, but enhance it. I'm very happy with it too!!

 

Man i can not wait to see(hopefully there duel) on what i think is going to be the remacht of the centaurie.

 

So, I was thinking... maybe I shouldn't write in the Vader fan club. There is not much activity, don't want to bother, maybe we should let it sink into page 2 of the Community forum... but then I said:



So I'll say it!! Vader was amazing in the Kenobi series, even in defeat. I love the respect that went to approach such an important character, and how they genuinely worked to keep him consistent with previous appearances, both powerful and yet not impervious to damage (in more than one way). And it was really great to see how much into the role Hayden Christensen was, years later. I´m quite happy!

 

Completely agree.

And now i want to read Charles Soule's Vader comic again.
