Just for the humorous twist, I guess. I think it could've worked in this case.

 

"Bombad Jedi" is one of the few Clone Wars episodes I've actually seen, and although Jar-Jar's success in that episode was largely due to coincidence and dumb luck, he did still manage to prove that he was neither a complete idiot, nor completely without skills.

 

And that’s why people love him. They don’t want a serious Jar Jar. Or maybe they do

 

I am still disappointed that no one has had the guts to put jar jar in one of the shows. All he gets is a novel.

 

He was an enjoyable character with funny antics. Part of me wonders why he isn't as iconic as Yoda. I mean "Yoda my name is" is cool but what about "Meesa Jar-Jar"? I'll be happy to join. Meesa would be muy muy honored to accept this fanclub.

 

I have recently been working my way through the Clone Wars series, and every episode with Jar-Jar in it further impresses upon me that Jar-Jar is underappreciated.

 

I got the new Lego game and I happen to basically only play as Jar Jar. Still makes me chuckle

 

I'm happy they gave him a weapon in that game.

 

I was trying to think what was the last media to have Jar Jar in it? Was it the aftermath novel?

 

The Age of Republic has a rather weird comic with him in it.
Not sure about anything more recent.

I finally found this thread again. I was thinking about this recently. Do you guys think the person from Naboo who saved Grogu and Kelleran Beck from the temple was Jar Jar? It is my personal theory.

That was my immediate guess after the episode, yeah. We know Padmé was occupied in the immediate aftermath of Order 66, but I'd love to see a brief flashback (or have it established through dialogue) confirming that, after watching the Jedi Temple burn, she turned to Threepio and contacted Jar Jar, giving him full access to her resources (the ship, a security detail, etc.) and instructing him to help save as many younglings as possible.

This would not only demonstrate Jar Jar's loyalty to Padmé, but also atone for his role in Palpatine's rise to power, at least in some small way.

Although, if we ever get a scene where Kelleran interacts with Jar Jar, I think my head would explode.

Poor Jar Jar. He takes so much flack. He’d be a loyal friend. I’d hang out with him. He’s cool, dang it!
