Animated Shorts *Official* Young Jedi Adventures Discussion Thread

Unfortunately I'm not going to get my scenes of Avar trying to sneak Elzar into her room after curfew in this show.

 

Not sure about this. The idea of a High Republic show piques my interest, but it's disconcerting to hear that preschooler's are the show's intended audience. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Star Wars should just cater for adults. I actually liked Ewoks and Resistance, and those shows were aimed at younger audiences.

I just hope there's some substance in this show. I'll tune in as long as there is adventure and peril.

 

As a Canadian I have to disagree with this.

Maple Syrup is the best thing we've created.

 

If this show is anything like Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor or Tangled, there's a chance that older audiences will like it.

 

So it’ll kind of be like that TCW episode where Yoda takes some younglings to find their kyber crystals. I’ll give it a shot.

I’m not a parent, but I imagine that for many parents, this show might end the “where to start with SW” debate

 

Elena and especially Tangled yes, but does Sofia is so much for adults, I watch few specials and I was like ,,its fine but not many thinks for adults, and this memory erasing is very cheap"

I’ll admit that most adults, including myself got hooked in for the Disney Princess cameos, but I feel that most got more invested when ongoing narratives and lore started to emerge around the second season.

 

Where has the thread gone for this show?

 

This be fun little show with Yoda and younglings.

 

Why not? It's not really my cup of tea, but it's new Star Wars stuff. And canon, I assume.

I think Younglings arc in TCW will be better comparison

 

Maybe thats the idea.

 

Certainly safer, because if you were making a series about younglings during the Clone Wars, it would be at the back of your mind that impending doom. And since they do it during the HighRepublic period, it won't be such a problem.

 

If I were Lucasfilm, I’d drop all animated content and redirect those funds and talent to making the live-action shows look as good as possible.

 

Completely the other way around for me.

 

Drop all live action and only do animation.
