Star Wars OPEN Star Wars - Anakin's Training

I found the RPF really interesting, so I decided to start one of these. This isn't that serious of an RPF, so yeah just chill stuff.

This takes place between TP and AOTC..

Intro: After Anakin has agreed to be Obi-wan's Padawan, Obi-wan thought Anakin everything he knows. This wasn't easy, as they faced many challenges throughout the years.

Backstory: Once a Padawan of Master Fisto, Lander is now a Jedi Knight. He met Obi-wan when they were still both Padawans. They met up again after he and Anakin returned to Coruscant.


The story starts now!

A day after the cremation of Qui-gon Jinn, Obi and Anakin headed to the library to find sources of who could be the last Sith Mace and Yoda was talking about.

IC: Obi-Wan

Obi-wan flicked through multiple sources within the library but so far he had found nothing on who could be the last sith that Master Windu and Master Yoda had spoke about. Obi-Wan was determined to find out. He looked through many a source but still found nothing. Obi-Wan couldn't spend as much time as he would like in here as he now had Ankain to train as well. He had promised master Qui-gon he would train the boy as Qui-gon thought Anakin to be the chosen one. Obi-wan then decided to try and ask Jo-Causta Nou, But when Obi-Wan looked she was nowhere to be seen. Obi-Wan wondered where she could be. He then left the library.

IC: Anakin and Lander Corscu

As Anakin waited for Obi-wan, he saw a man waving at him. The man slowly approached Anakin.

Anakin: Who are you?

Lander Corscu: I am Lander Corscu, Jedi Knight. You may have not heard of me but I am a friend of Obi-wan. You must be Anakin, Obi-wan's new Padawan?

Anakin: Yes, I am his padawan.

Lander Corscu: Great! But why are you here? Did you come here with your master?

Anakin: Master and I went here to find sources for the "sith" or whatever they call them.

Lander Corscu: I see, could I meet him?

Anakin: Master! There's someone who wants to see you!

IC: Obi-wan and Tanal Jaihd

Obi-wan heard his padawan call him and went over he then saw Lander. Obi-wan allowed a smile towards the jedi knight.

"It's nice to see you again Lander, how are you my friend." Obi-Wan said as another padawan entered. It was jedi padawan Tanal Jahid. Tanal was a male nutolan. He was one of few within the jedi order, another being Master Kit Fisto. Tanal's saber swung be his side. he came over after seeing his friend Anakin.

"Anakin, how are you?" Asked Tanal.

IC: Anakin and Lander Corscu

Anakin took awhile to recognize Tanal, as he has not seen him for months.

Anakin: Mister Jahid? Great to see ya! How's it been?

Lander: You two know each other?

Anakin: Yeah! I used to be his neighbor back in Tatooine. Also, shouldn't we get going, Master? If I'm not mistaken the council called us for an important meeting or something.

IC: Tanal Jahid and Obi-Wan

Tanal was glad that Anakin recognized him.

"I'm all good Anakin, I hope to see you around" Said Tanal before walking past Obi-Wan towards his own Master. Obi-Wan then turned to his padawan.

"I believe you are correct, my young padawan learner, let's get going." Obi-Wan said before turning to Lander.

"It was great seeing you, Lander. I hope our paths cross again someday, take care" obi-wan said before walking away.

IC: Anakin

Obi-wan and Anakin left the library and went to the Jedi Council. Yoda was waiting for them there. Anakin left the room as Obi-wan and Yoda wanted to talk privately. Anakin overheard their conversation about a vision.

Anakin: What could they be talking about? A vision? Is the world in danger?, asked the confused Padawan to himself.

Meanwhile, as the Jedi were meeting, there was commotion nearby in another part of Coruscant...

IC: Padme Amidala


“But that’s not fair!” Padme slammed her hand down on the podium.

The smack ricocheted around the sub-meeting hall of the Galactic Senate. The fifteen committee members shifted in their anti-grav couches.

“Queen Amidala,” began Senator N’koll. “Please understand our position. If you had more evidence… witnesses...”

“You have heard testimony from dozens of my people…” said Padme. She pointed an accusing finger across the room, to where Nute Gunray sat at his own station, with a smug grin. “This one invaded my world, imprisoned my people, and threatened to torture me if I did not sign his contract!”

“I mean,” N’koll offered a sour smile, “independent witnesses… Someone who can verify this accusation.”

“You would not come!” said Padme. “No-one from the senate saw this because while we were isolated and under attack, you wanted to discuss it all in a committee.”

“Surely we have heard enough?” Lott Dodd, the representative for the Trade Federation stood up. “This was all an unfortunate conflict, and I am sure mistakes were made on both sides…”

“Both sides?” Padme glowered at the Neimoidian. “Your droid army attacked us!”

“Ah, well, we still have not discounted the theory that it was malfunctioning,” N’koll wagged a finger.

“The droids were simply escorting our envoys to the capital for talks, when those savage Gungans attacked us!” Nute Gunray uttered with indignation.

A number of the committee members exchanged concerned murmurs.

“It is lie upon lie upon lie,” said Padme to the other senators. “How can you believe any of this?”

N’koll spread his arms wide. “We must investigate all these possibilities before we come to the truth, I am afraid. Let us adjourn for now…”

The meeting ended and Padme stormed out of the chamber. Outside she met her entourage; Sio Bibble and Jar Jar. She was surprised to also see Chancellor Palpatine waiting for her. He read her expression well.

“I take it the hearing did not go well, your highness?” said Palpatine, his brow furrowed in concern.

“I cannot believe Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation are going to get away with this!” spat Padme. She set off down the corridor and the others trailed in her wake.

Palpatine, however, easily kept pace beside the young Queen. “I am afraid the Federation has many friends in the senate. Many systems profit from their deals with Gunray.”

“Then why are they on the hearing committee?” Padme turned and challenged Palpatine. “You could veto them, make sure that senators not in the pocket of the Federation are chosen!”

Palpatine grimaced. “Your highness, in my position, it is difficult. I must be seen as neutral myself now that I am chancellor. I cannot interfere with the hearing committee.”

Padme harrumphed and shook her head. Palpatine offered her a consoling smile. “Queen Amidala, now should be a good time. You have won a second term on the back of your heroics at the Battle of Naboo, you have united with the Gungans and relations are at their best ever. This is a time to rebuild, and rejoice in your victories. Let the matter with Gunray go. Your obsession with this is taking you away from your people. Sometimes you have to recognise a lost cause.”

“I do not accept that,” Padme scowled again. “If he gets away with it, he will surely try it again on some other peaceful world. And there is something else going on here! No-one is interested in my reports of the Sith that killed Master Qui-Gon. How did he come to be on Naboo?”

Palpatine laid a hand on her arm, and lowered his voice. “Oh believe me, there was interest in that. But the trail has gone cold. What more can anyone do? Please, let this go, my dear Queen, for your own sake...”

Padme bit her lip. She made a decision. If the senate has no interest in this, I will find someone who does!

IC: Obi-wan and Anakin

"Yes master." Obi-wan said as he left the council chamber. He then turned to Anakin.

"Let's begin your training, shall we?" Asked obi-wan tucking his arm into the sleeves of his robes.


Anakin: Yes Master! I'm so excited! What color will my lightsaber blade be? Will I be able to lift heavy objects using the Force? When do I get to build my Lightsaber?, asked Anakin enthusiastically.


Obi-wan smiled at his padawan as they walked.

"Patience Anakin, all of this will come with a little training. The blade of the lightsaber reflects the users own to the force. That i will teach you at a later date. Well done for not calling it a laser sword this time. You will also build your lightsaber after you gather its heart from the planet Illum. Will you be able to heavy objects. Eventually yes" said obi-wan as he gestured for Anakin to enter a meditation chamber.


"Alright, Master. But what kind of training will we do now? If we won't have lightsaber practice, what else can we do?", asked Anakin curiously.


"Being a jedi is not only about knowing how to fight with a lightsaber, Anakin. We need to control our mental health and not let it control us. Especially your emotions. Remember what Master Yoda said when you first met him?" Obi-Wan explained to the young padawan.


Anakin smiled at his master. He understood what his master had to say.

"I understand, Master. I will be patient in our training from now on. *yawns* Master, it's getting late, can we continue our training tomorrow?"


"Indeed, we can, my young padawan. A well-rested jedi is a sharp jedi. Goodnight my young padawan." Obi-wan said as he walked back to his own quarters within the jedi temple.

Another day arises, and Anakin is up early in the morning. He heads towards the Jedi Temple Quarters and wakes Obi up.

"Master, MASTER! It's time for our training! Come onnn!!" says Anakin happily.


Obi-wan is taken by surprise by Anakin's sudden appearance.

"All right Anakin, I'm up, I'm up. Go and wait for me outside" replies Obi-Wan. He then gets out of bed and slips on his jedi robes, clips his saber to his belt and leaves his quarters.


Anakin exclaims happily, as his master is awake.

"I can't wait for our training! What are we gonna do first?" asked Anakin.


"well my young padawan, i've brought in a little helping hand from a Lander, to show a lightsaber. I want you to take notes during, and tell us what you think we did well and what we did badley" explained Obi-Wan as they met up with both Lander and Tanal.

"You right Ani?" Asked Tanal.


Anakin: "I'm fine, Mr. Tanal. Don't worry, I'll take notes master! Let's go!!" said Anakin joyfully. Let's head to the arena!

IC: Queen Amidala
The Jedi Temple, Coruscant


"Ah, Queen Amidala, so good to see you again so soon, it is."

Padme turned from the breath-taking view from the window at the top of the Jedi Temple and smiled. "Master Yoda, it is good to see you again, too."

The diminutive Jedi Master turned up his ears to add to his friendly smile, then shuffled over to one of the couches and set himself down. He looked over the young Queen and noticed she was out of her ceremonial attire again. It looked like the uniform of a royal Naboo soldier. She looked ready for a fight.

"The charges against the Trade Federation are not going well, I hear."

Padme scowled. "Gunray is as slippery as a lake-eel. The committee is loaded with his cronies. I don't know what to do! I can't believe he will get away with everything. We are thinking of trying a different legal route... but Chancellor Palpatine just keeps advising me to drop it. It's not fair..."

Yoda waited until she had unloaded her worries. "To see me, you wished?"

Padme took a deep breath. "Well, actually I was hoping to meet with Master Kenobi."

"Ah, impossible, I am afraid. With his new apprentice, Obi-wan is busy."

Padme smiled despite her troubles. "Little Ani? So he is to become a Jedi? That's... great. How is he doing?"

Yoda's brow furrowed. "Early days yet, my Dear Queen. Impossible to tell the future."

Padme turned and gazed out of the expansive windows again. Yoda watched her. "A big effect, the boy had upon you, didn't he?"

Padme turned back. “Of course, upon us all! In the end, in the crucial moment, it was Anakin who destroyed the control ship and shut down the droid army. We all owe him so much.”

She looked down at the ground. “He certainly is special.”

Yoda waited and the silence between them lingered until Padme could stand it no more. She turned to him again.

“If Master Kenobi is not here, perhaps you can help me. I want to know more about that Sith Lord that was on Naboo.”

“Yes, yes, that knowledge we would all like. But a Jedi matter this is, young Queen. Investigate it, we will.”

“I am sure there is more going on here… If I could find out how he was linked to Gunray and the Trade Federation…”

Yoda roused himself from the couch again and shook his head. “Patience, Queen Amidala. Elusive, the answers are, and chasing them will take you away from your people, your duties. The Chancellor’s advice, you should heed. Let the Jedi handle this, you must.”

“But the Trade Federation could be up to something…!”

“Patience, dear Queen, patience. Now, go I must. Younglings I must instruct. Your world, Naboo, you should return and rebuild. To you the answers will come in time, I sense.”

And the old Jedi Master shuffled out of the room.

Padme folded her arms and pouted. Well, if you won’t help me, I will have to do this myself!

OOC: I'm borrowing mysterious man and you-know-who in the Hologram man as an NPC

IC: Anakin

As Anakin and Obi-wan went back to their Quarters, they went to bed and slept soundly.

But Anakin was having trouble on sleeping, as he is having continuous thoughts on the lightsaber duel with Lander earlier.

"Why was I weak? Why didn't I win against him? I want to become more powerful, whatever it takes." whispered Anakin to himself

"I need one of those lightsabers. I bet Master wouldn't notice if I got it quietly."

Anakin quietly went into Obi-wan's room and got his lightsaber. He went down and brought the lightsaber outside.

"Now, where would be the perfect place to use this, oh! I could use it in the dark alley over there."

Anakin went to the dark alley, ignited his- or his stolen lightsaber

*Kwishuu!*

"Woah! This is so cool!"

"Fancy gadget you have there, kid" said the man hiding in the dark alley

"Who are you?"

"It's none of your business, hand me over that blade thingy if you don't want to get hurt."

Anakin was scared, he wanted to run away, but he knew a true Jedi wouldn't do that.

"I won't hand over the lightsaber. Never"

Anakin cut the man's hand off using the blue-bladed lightsaber

"MY HAND! WHY KID, WHY!!"

Anakin ran back to the Jedi Quarters, and he saw that his master is still fast asleep. He quietly returned the lightsaber into his robe.

"That was COOL!" said Anakin

Meanwhile in the dark alley,

"Any news about the "kid"?" said someone in a Hologram

"THE KID! HE CUT MY HAND OFF!"

"Very well" said the man in the Hologram

"The kid has some power, and potential" the man in the hologram whispered to himself

IC: Obi-Wan

Obi-Wan stirred. Then then woke and saw it was still the middle of the night. He reached for his saber and his bed touched the wood of his bedside table. He looked over at his saber and saw that it had moved. Obi-wan then knew someone had taken it and then put it back. Obi-wan touched the Hilt of his saber and saw a vision of what had just happened. He saw Anakin welding the blade. He saw Anakin cut off the beings hand. He saw Anakin take the Lightsaber in the first place. But what Obi-Wan wanted to know was why Anakin had taken the Hilt in the first place. Obi-wan then let go of his Hilt and decided that he would question Anakin about it in the morning and he went back to bed.

OOC: Kit Fisto as NPC

IC: Lander Corscu
Coruscant Space

While everyone was asleep, Lander headed to Coruscant Space for a mission. There has been rumors about appearances of smuggler troops.

"I have successfully traveled to Coruscant Space, Master Fisto."

"Good. Now head over to the coordinates I sent you, this is where the Smugglers have last been seen." said the Master

"Noted, Master"

Lander headed towards the coordinates his master sent him. Kit Fisto was right, the Smugglers were there.

"I found them, Master" said Lander

"Very well, you may attack them, but think of a strategy firs-"

Lander attacked the troops and came out victoriously. He reported it to his Master immediately.

"Master, the troops are now gone. This Y-wing sure is very reliable!"

"*sighs* Good job, Lander. Next time, be more careful and make a strategy." said Master Fisto

Lander went back to Coruscant with his Y-wing.

IC: Obi-Wan

Obi-wan woke up a few hours later and got out of bed. He then slipped on his robes and clipped his lightsaber to his belt. Obi-Wan then went to where Anakin slept.

"Anakin, Anakin come on" said Obi-Wan as a group of younglings walked by. Obi-Wan still had the memory of what he saw the night before. He then vouched to never trust Anakin with his lightsaber for the time being.

"M-Master! Good Morning!" said Anakin nervously after remembering what happened yesterday


"goodmorning my young padawan, tired?" Asked Obi-Wan


"Hehe.. What.. are you talking about, Master? I've been here all night in my bed!" said Anakin


"You are good at many things, Anakin. But lying to me is not one of them. Walk with me, Anakin" said Obi-Wan as his hand brushed over his hilt


"I guess you knew about it, Master. I'm truly sorry." said Anakin


"I should hope Anakin. A lightsaber is the most dangerous weapon in the galaxy. Even more so in the hands of an untrained jedi. A lightsaber is an elegant weapon and is not as random or clumsy as a blaster. Which is why I shall only let you borrow this for training sessions Anakin" said Obi-Wan as Master Qui-Gon's lightsaber came to his hand and he offered the blade to Anakin.


"Noted, Master. Nothing like this will happen EVER again. Although a blaster for me would be cool.."


Obi-wan smiled at his padawan.
"perhaps, the council would never allow it. It would be cool though, as long as you didn't shot anyone important." Replied Obi-Wan


"Ha! Like THAT would happen.. right? But anyways, what are we going to do today, Master?"


"I was thinking I could teach you the art of lightsaber combat. Considering as you stole my lightsaber last night, it's either that or meditation?" Replied Obi-wan with a small smile on his face as he had a feeling of which his young padawan would choose."


"Lightsaber combat! Why would I pick boring meditation? Anyways, lets go!!" said Anakin enthusiastically

Obi-wan led Anakin into one of many of the temples training ground's. Obi-Wan unclipped his lightsaber and ignited the blue blade. He then spoke to Anakin.

"okay so first I want to see what you can do without any training. Afterthat We will go again but I will talk you through it, sound good?" Asked Obi-Wan


"That I can do, Master!"

Anakin got Qui-gon's old lightsaber and ignited it.

"What do I do now, Master?"


"Well that is up to you for this one, Anakin." Said Obi-Wan as the green blade extended from Qui-Gon's old hilt.


"I'd be glad enough to challenge you, what do you think, Master?"


"If it where me I'd start advancing and taking the first attack, My young Padawan"


Anakin followed his Master's advice and went for the attack. He charged straight into his Master's saber.

The two lightsaber's collided. Anakin's anger was so strong, the nearby Jedi could feel it, especially Obi-wan.

Anakin knew that Anger was not the way of the Jedi, as Lander told him. So he attacked Obi-wan calmly, but the strength remained.

He countered all the incoming attacks, Anakin felt powerful.


Obi-wan was impressed with his padawan's skill. But he didn't like his anger.

"Anakin, you know that anger isn't the jedi way drop it and allow the force to flow through your body" said Obi-Wan as he parried one of Anakin's attacks


Anakin did what his Master told him. He turned his lightsaber off for a bit. He meditated and became one with the Force.

He ignited it, and he was ready.

"I'm ready, Master!"

Anakin started with a Force push, it nearly cornered Obi-wan. He took the chance and launched himself towards Obi-wan and attacked.


Obi-Wan only just blocked Anakin's attack. Blue collide with green. Obi-Wan then began to push Anakin back using the two lightsabers. Obi-wan then aimed his own force push at Anakin.


Anakin aimed a force push at Obi-wan as well. Sadly, Anakin couldn't handle his power and just let go. He was pushed against the wall. Luckily, Obi saved him from the impact.

"Good Fight, Master. I have a lot to learn from you" said Anakin exhausted


"Indeed you do Anakin, learning how to fight with a lightsaber is the most important thing a jedi can learn. We will continue this at a later time" Obi-wan said


"Yes, Master. I'll go ahead now, should we get lunch?" said Anakin hungrily

The duo went to the nearest restaurant and bought food. Their energy was replenished and they felt good.

IC: Queen Amidala
Royal Palace, Naboo


"You want me to what?" Captain Panaka blinked.

"I need you to train me how to fly an N-1 starfighter," repeated the Queen.

"You highness, the N-1 is amongst the most sensitive, fine-control response fighters in the Galaxy..."

"And yet a ten-year-old boy mastered it quickly enough, and achieved what many of your pilots could not..."

"Well, he was special..." Panaka winced. And extremely lucky... he wanted to add.

Padme turned away and huffed.

Panaka frowned. "What is it Your Highness wishes to achieve with this endeavour? ... We have a cadre of highly trained pilots..."

Padme chewed her lip. She would have to tell him at some point, or what was the point in having a chief of security?

"I wish to undertake some missions, undercover... on my own recognizance, and so I need to fly a ship of my own."

"Your Highness!" began Panaka.

Padme held up a hand to forestall his objection. "I will leave Corde as my double, so no-one will know I am gone. I will be in regular contact so that I can consult on all major decisions..."

"That is not the point!" spluttered Panaka. "I cannot allow the Queen of Naboo to go gallivanting across the Galaxy on her own! It is too dangerous! You must let me escort you!"

"But then everyone will know - you see that you are the chief of security? It is important for you to stay and guard Corde, to keep up appearances here."

Panaka folded his arms. "It is against protocol. It is not your duty..."

Padme narrowed her eyes. "I am the Queen, and I do not like being lectured on protocol. It is my duty to protect Naboo from future threats!"

"You mean plots from the Trade Federation. That is what this is all about?"

Now Padme folded her arms and glared at the veteran soldier. Panaka knew that look, when she had made up her mind and could not be dissuaded, and sighed.

"Alright, of course I must obey, but listen to me; the N-1 is not a good starter for interstellar flight. For now let me find you a small, nimble yacht - fast enough to get away from trouble if you need to, but equipped for your needs. I will teach you to fly it, astrogate, and we can even review your self defence training."

Padme nodded.

Panaka said, "But I need you to make me one promise."

Padme pursed her lips. "What?"

"Do not go alone, please."

Now Padme sighed, but a part of her understood the necessity of the captain's request. An idea came to her.

"Alright, I will ask General Binks of the Gungans. He served with distinction in the Battle of Naboo. It will be a perfect way to formalise our new understanding with our new allies. I am sure he will agree."

And I am sure he will not second-guess me when we are out on mission...

Panaka thought about this. He had never really been fully convinced about Binks' skill in battle, despite the growing legends. But the Gungans as a people had certainly proved their bravery and loyalty, it was true.

He shrugged. It seemed like a fair compromise.

"Oh, and a droid," said Padme. "That R2 unit from the J-Type Royal Starship, in case we need technical help along the way."

"As you wish, Your Highness," said Panaka.
