I'm going to be contrary here and say "I think that was a great trade for @cubman987 " and totally without snark.

 

Without doing a deep dive to confirm... if Babe Ruth isn't the guy traded most often in league history, I feel like he's at least gotta be close to the top of the leaderboard.

Oh, I'm sure he and Lloyd were waiting on the trades to go through before declaring.

dp, on the other hand, I feel is keeping us waiting just to be melodramatic, as per usual. Probably still desperately searching for some loophole that will allow him to ditch Big Train. Even though he was one of the best pitchers in the league last season in terms of WAR. If he's not able to get out of that terrible franchise decision, deeps' ability to compete with everyone else may be severely diminished AGAIN this year.
