It's a boat made of force.

 

My sometimes less than articulate friends will play around with this thread until the end of time, or until some mod locks it in exasperation. So I'll provide the answer you're looking for.

Forceboat was originally an idea concieved by a gamer, I think it was JediBib, though I'm not certain. I don't really know what it's purpose was, I am pretty sure just a vehicle for spam. In Games they seem to practically pee themselves when someone posts "FORCEBOAT" 465 times in one post.

But one time this JediBib was in a GBG production chat with Gary Gaber. I don't know who Gaber is beyond being a hero for putting a Forceboat cheat in the GBG game. So now supposedly if you type "forceboat" in GBG you get an invisible but all powerful boat. I have yet to do it successfully it seems, but that's ok, I'm more partial to Simon the Ewok anyway.

Nowadays Forceboat is still used as a means of spammy entertainment. If you ever go into Games and someone says Forceboat to you, just smile and nod like you give a damn, and you'll get on fine with the natives.

And the summarize, no forceboat is not canon. It's kind of like Santa Claus to the JC gamers.

As someone who was there I'll tell you the story with less bitterness. To Start with when the GBG game was being made Garry Gaber came to the JC boards and would update us on the game, ask opinions, and field questions. Really he was a very nice guy. During this time, like Conn said, Jedi Bib created the Force Boat as a silly joke thread. Basicly a place that people could just let go and have fun. Later LA held a developer chat. Since Gaber had been updating us on the game many JCers were interested in the chat. About 80% of the chat was with JCers. From what I remember those in the chat include myself,Sithman,jp-30,JediBib,AlienAcid,SFL,and Dan. During the chat many of our questions were answered. We also kept going on and on about boats and towards the end the question was was asked if forceboats would be in the game. Gaber running with the joking going on in the chat said yes there will be forceboats. So as a nod to the JC the forceboat was put in the game. Originaly as the cheat "forceboat" for the demo and then later changed in the game.

Since then the FB was been a running joke in games. Basicly for those that don't feel like taking themselves seriously and just want to have fun.

Kind of funny that FORCEBOAT is a boat made of the force, when what your really doing is forcing a boat to appear. Force Boat to appear = FORCEBOAT
