Her arm looks a bit artificial. I wonder, could this be the reason for Rar's survival? Aside from that, I just want to say she's for all intents and purposes wearing a bikini! Wasn't she partial to that clothing?

Judging by the age of the Twi'lek on the cover it seems unlikely to be Rar herself, though... she was rather... shall I say... outgoing, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch to think she may have left behind a few progenies.

Though it'll probably just end up being your typical eye-candy teenage-boy attracting twi'lek chic'.

Jan said the garb and tattoos weren't so much "fanservice" per say, but rather a reflection of the Twi'lek's tribal nature.

 

Yes, the only reason the Twi'lek is in a bikini is to show her tattoos which are along the lines of Pict bodypaint (read Stover's first 2 books Iron Dawn and Jericho Moon).

the phrase is-- "seeking to destroy the last of the Jedi" Not the Jedi are nearly wiped out or even nearly extinct. Why not let this unfold a bit more before getting all grumpy?

If we spelled out exactly what was happening there would be no point in reading the book would there?

 

Jan- Can you at least tell us what that red Twi'lek's name is?

I don´t think the ending is such a problem, but the problems are that the beginning is now so vague - not after LEGACY 0, but now and we have months to speculate before that - and that at the same time that Dark Horse is plotting the timeline from circa 140 ABY forward, Del Rey is plotting the timeline from 40 to 140 ABY. One hopes, that like people mining a road under a mountain chain from two directions simultaneously, the two timelines will at one point merge to each other without problems. But it´s a risky enterprise.

 

I think he was talking to Illuminatus. Excellence is famous for hating Star Wars novels that feature chracters he knows aren't going to die.
