Thirded! This was really, really good fun :) And seriously, 5 people who never worked together before co-authoring a story in just a week is a real, real challenge. I can't wait to read the NSWFF story -- but first I'm watching the Hunger Games tonight, because I've never seen it before :p

I don't work well with dares, deadlines, and other writers, but this was extremely fun.

If - when? [face_hopeful] - the next FF Olympics comes along, I know I'll be a participant. Even if it's against my better judgment. :p

And no matter what the scores indicate, I will stand by my claim that we - and by this I mean everyone: writers, judges, event organizers, readers - won the first JC Forums Fan Fiction Olympics. Yay us!

And now, it's time for the results of round two!

The Winners of the Dare Challenge are:

1st Place: "Anomaly" by Admiral Volshe of the Star Wars team!

2nd Place: "Inexplicable" by Tarsier of the Non-Star Wars team!

3rd Place: "The Within Within" by Admiral Drabblar of the Non-Star Wars team!

Which brings our team totals to . . .

    Star Wars: 250
    Non-Star Wars: 200 points

Congratulations, to both the winners and the participants! We have had several strong stories thus far, and it's now a very close race for the third round - and all lies in the hands of our esteemed judges. [face_mischief]

BUT, we have had so much fun hosting this, and we're thrilled to hear that that joy is shared. [face_love] [:D]

So, how long do we have to bribe the judges wait before the final scores are in? [face_suspiciously_innocent]

[face_laugh] The judges were asked to have their votes in on Oct. 2 (Friday). If they all come in earlier, we will announce earlier!

First off, we the mods want to thank everyone who participated in our first Fanfic Olympics! We had a lot of fun and based on the people saying they want to do it again, we think you did too! :D We'll certainly be doing this again in the future, maybe even in a bigger way. [face_whistling]

So, we left off with a really close score of:
    Star Wars 250 points
    Non-Star Wars at 200 points.

The results from our guest judge mods are in and the winner of the third challenge was Star Wars FanFic with their Alternate Ending of Attack of the Clones.

So that means the winner of the first Olympics are team Star Wars!!

    [face_party]=D= Congratulations to

Admiral Volshe, Chyntuck, Goodwood, SatineNaberrie, and Darth_Furio

You all will be receiving a PM with how to get your week of colors soon.

And let's give a big round of applause to our Non-Star Wars team, you guys did an awesome job!

Congrats, Star Wars team! [face_party] Your Alternate Ending was epic, the win is well-deserved. :)

Looking forward to the next Olympics! Maybe a Rematch? :bluesaber:

Thanks to all who organised and participated -- SW, NSW, readers, judges and not least our fabulous mods who put this together! This was great fun in terms of writing, READING and motivating lazy people like me to read more NSWFF. So many great stories out there now, I hope everyone is reading them :)

*challenge to self: next time, participate on the NSWFF side*

I'm looking forward to doing this again [:D]

You know what, Chyntuck? I think I might have to join you in that challenge. It's been too long since another medium for storytelling has been explored...far, far too long... ;)[face_thinking]

You two are brave. I tried to write a NSWFF story earlier this year and chickened out like there is no tomorrow...then again, I wanted to write Jazz Jackrabbit and the prompt was a picture of autumn leaves.

Yes, yeeessss, come to the NSWFF side of the force. [face_mischief] There's a big ol' universe beyond your galaxy far, far away. :p

But I have to say congratulations to the SW team! You guys did an excellent job, and your win was well deserved. =D= (Though I enjoyed every bit of the NSWFF team's offerings - though I may be biased. ;)) Everything and everyone was wonderful, and it was a true pleasure to help plan these events. I can't wait for further games like this, that's for sure! :D [face_dancing][:D]
