It's Celebration time. I wish everyone was going so we could all hang out IRL!

We're leaving Monday morning but I work tomorrow and since I have yet to pack, I'll probably have to do that when I get home tomorrow night. I might be on from time to time through the week, but for all intents and purposes, I'll be gone from tomorrow April 9th through Monday April 17th.

You guys be nice to Bri, she may have to use the bail money if I have too many Celebration drinks, and I don't want her to hate me.

Hey guys!

The disaster medical assistance team I'm on just got activated and I'm headed out tomorrow. I have no idea where we'll end up or what the conditions will be like so I have no idea if I'll have internet. So I may be around occasionally, or maybe not at all. They anticipate we'll be back by October 1st, but there is a possibility that it could be longer.

So basically it can all be summed up as

Be nice to Bri, I'm abandoning her quite quickly. And try not to make the party too big, okay?! It upsets the cats.

 

Again, stay safe!

And, yeah, they better be nice to me or else I might abandon them all together and fly off to a much needed vacation in the sun.

Oh, wait. I have REALLY BAD timing when it comes to these things.

Totally. It says a lot for your personal and professional skill sets that they ask or you volunteer.

 

Did they even tell you if it is stateside or international? Either way, I hope the conditions are not too horrible. We sent some of our Coast Guard assets down south, but I don't think we have a Disaster Medical Assistance Team where I live.

Thank you all for the well wishes! I'm back! It was a long month, thank you for putting up with me being gone so long. Especially thanks to Bri for taking on modding on her own for that long!

They are state based, most states have at least one team, or a combined team with another state. I'm pretty sure MI-1 is still active as I think I saw some people from that team down there, mostly because I kept thinking it said MA-1, which is my team.
