Asha frowned, and turned towards the battle again; wondering just how these droids who could be defeated in mere seconds by a trained soldier could help her family. Of course, if we could improve their command structures, add shields and better weapons, they might just stand a chance. But they could also serve a different purpose, help us beat our enemies while being fodder for the enemy so our main troops can be relieved and sent to key locations.

"I would like to see these droideka models." Asha straightened out, turning her gaze back to Orgo Rosos. Her back was straight and she lifted her head, staring at him and waiting to be challenged. Her family and clan's safety came first, so how could she trust him if his droids failed to operate as they should. "And I will speak to your contractor." Asha moved away from the table and paced for a moment, worried.

"Mandalorians are great warriors; but don't assume we are all great leaders in battles." Asha smiled and nodded at Orgo Rosos, feeling a little amused that he would assume that as well. Most did, but she had a feeling he wasn't like most people she had met before.

I'll need to contact my father. He should now about this. And I need to figure out what to do next.

"Bic ni Skana'din," Jax muttered with a thick Mandalorian accent in his voice. He knew by now the Senator was beyond his reach and there was a good chance someone was heading towards his location. He collapsed his sniper rifle in a flurry of hand movements and slid the compacted weapon into the sheath slung over his back. He looked around for a few seconds and quickly identified a police vehicle. "Just one?" he muttered. He smirked and walked away from his position casually, not even hiding his position. He stepped behind a decorative structure of stones near the grassy knoll.

"Suspect sighted!" the first speeder radioed to the others. "He has taken position behind the stone pillars... he doesn't look like he is running."

"Understood," came the reply from the other two speeders.

The first speeder stopped, and was quickly joined by the second. Jax waited... he knew police protocol. Sure enough... there it came.

"This is Constable Wierstien of the Agamar police! Come-"

His words were cut short as Jax revealed his twin pistols. Peeking around the corner, their muzzles blazing so fast one might think they were not semi-automatic.The two speeders riddled with wholes, dents, and marks from the flurry of blaster bolts. The officers ducked behind their speeder, though one lay dead.

"Shoot to kill! SHOOT TO KILL!" came the cry from the ranking officer. the return fire came, blazing past Jax's position and pounding on the stone he hid behind. He had caught a glimpse of their blasters. They were not cheap and held plenty of energy in a single cartridge. It would do him no good to wait out their barrage. Instead he leapt upwards, still hidden behind the stone. He grabbed the top of the stone with his hands and hoisted himself up to a kneeling position on top of the stone. Again he sent a blanket of blaster bolts flying into the group of officers. Two more fell before they realized what hit them. With his angle he had a clear shot at the tops of their heads. The final officer managed to duck low and lay pinned down flat on the grass. Jax had him right where he wanted him until he heard another speeder approaching from behind. He turned to look, seeing yet another police speeder. It came to a rapid halt and the officers jumped out guns blazing. Now Jax had no where to hide. For now the officer pinned behind his speeder was the least of his threats so he jumped down from the stone to cover his back from the two new attackers. He ran towards the first two speeders and leapt over them just as the officer dared to peek his head above the vehicles and look.

Jax dove head first and went into a roll. He came up beside the startled Constable Wierstien and wrapped his forearm around the man's neck in a tight headlock that barely allowed the man to breath. The other two officers were approaching the stones when Jax took his captive. His first shot dropped the officer who trailed behind and the other barely made it to safety as the bolt's from Jax's gun chipped away at the stones.

"I don't have all day!" Jax yelled. "Call off your attack and reinforcements or I kill Constable Wierstien!" Jax knew by now more units would be on the way. A few police he could handle but he really didn't want to deal with the entire police force today.

To Jax's surprise, however... everything stopped there. Constable Wierstien held up a single hand in front of Jax's face. In that hand was a thermal detonator primed and ready to explode.

"Call off your attack," Wierstien told him. "Or I will kill Constable Wierstien."

The remaining officer stepped out from behind the stone, blaster rifle pointed at Jax's head. "Drop your weapons, Mandalorian!"

Under his helmet, they couldn't see Jax's glare... or his smirk. This obviously wasn't over, but he also obviously could not win this particular battle. Slowly Jax lowered his guns and released Constable Wierstien, and said calmly. "Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur."

"Cut the chatter!" the second officer ordered as he approached. "We have dozens of reinforcements on the way... don't try anything funny, Mandalorian!" The second officer stepped up beside Constable Wierstien as the Constable bent to pick up a gun. Jax stepped forwards and the constable jerked back up. "Stop there!" the other officer ordered.

"I'll still blow us all up!" Wierstien warned, stopping back down to pick up a weapon and the other officer looked at his comrade nervously and took a small step away from him.

"Well..." Jax said. "I can't have that happening." He was just close enough and the moment the officer looked away from him and to his fellow Constable Jax rushed forward. With one hand he grabbed the gun in the officer's hand, jamming it backwards and breaking the man's trigger finger. With the other hand he grabbed the thermal detonator and yanked it out of the Constable's hand, careful to replace his own thumb on the detonation device and keep the thing from exploding. He kicked the first officer to the ground and then turned to the constable. "I can't have you blowing us all up now... I think I'll need this bomb."

"We still have dozens of reinforcements on the way!" Constable Wierstien said, backing away shyly.

"Ah," Jax scolded him as he gripped newly acquired weapon. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. We will just all sit right here and wait for those reinforcements. When they get here we can negotiate about my release and pardon in exchange for not blowing you all up."

The constable was quite uncertain what to do at this point. He didn't threaten Jax with his weapon but he didn't discard it either. Of course if he shot Jax the thermal detonator would blow... Jax stood close to the officers. At this point he only could wait and see what came with these reinforcements and what type of deal they would offer him... or perhaps what type of distraction they would offer that allowed him to escape.

    IC: Drake

He pushed down on the handlebar accelerators, pushing the Speeder to it's max. It squealed as it's Repulsor Engine forced it forward. The convoy continued at a steady pace, straight on line for the Senate Building. It was 200 Meters in front of Drake; but he was catching up fast. He wove in and out of the crowd, trying to avoid knots of commuters. He tugged hard to the left as a man attempted to cross the street.

He was walking slowly, and Drake almost hit him. Drake pulled it to the left, the speeder reacting by swinging in a wide arc. Damn! Drake thought. He forgot how sensitive the bike's controls were. He shifted right, throwing the back of the bike around and straightening it out. However, he lost his momentum. Then, he saw his savior.

A moving crew was putting a couch into the 3rd story of an apartment complex. They assembled a ramp to drag it up with a repulsor cart. It was clear. Drake revved up his engine, and flew up the ramp. For 3 seconds that felt like a millennium, Drake hung in midair. Then, the sensation ended and he plummeted towards the roof of the 5 story apartment block. He landed with a bounce, and felt the strain of the motor as it struggled to recover from the fall. Luckily for Drake, the whole complex was one connected building, and he sailed unopposed and unobstructed across the top of the building.

Within seconds, Drake caught up to the motorcade. He edged ahead of it, lining himself up with a jump off the roof. He wanted to land right next to the armored vehicle, but it would be difficult. However, in the midst of his planning, he missed one crucial thing- his roof was running out. Drake zoomed off the building, and time seemed to slow down.

He acted purely by instinct. He swung his right foot over the seat of the bike, and rotated 90 Degrees left towards the main road. He planted both feet on the foot peg and leaped (bailed, more like) off the speeder. He spread his arms, reaching for a handle on the speeder below. He landed on the hood with a huge thud, leaving a considerable dent. For a fleeting moment, he stayed completely immobile on the front. Then, he began to slide off. Desperately, drake grabbed on to the window lining, knowing if he let go, he was toast. Drake didn't stop to think about how lucky he was; only beskar could allow a landing like that with out even a scratch.

The speed of the vessel still pushed him, and soon he was laying flat on his chest, head down. He drew one of his pistols, and discharged two rounds into the windshield. Nothing happened, the glass was blaster resistant. He raised his head slightly to see the area ahead, and instantly regretted it. A blaster bolt whizzed over his head, missing him by centimeters. He glanced backwards, seeing a police cruiser with two officer in it. Angry officers. They held only pistols, but anyone with guns were a threat. two more shots barely missed, and Drake was fed up. He holstered his pistol, and detached a thermal detonator from his belt. He flipped it active, and simply held it out and dropped it.

"Here's a present!" He yelled. Because of the great speed of the transports, he didn't need to throw it. The police cruiser would run into it if he just tossed it in the direction. Drake watched as the grenade shattered the front view of the police vessel, sending fragments of glass everywhere. The Officers covered their heads, and the small gift Drake had left them lay unnoticed in the back seat. "Sorry, forgot to wrap it," Drake mumbled.

The speeder exploded, debris going everywhere and the blast wave rocking the ship he was hitch-hiking on. Not hijacking, not terrorizing, Hitch-hiking. The burnt frame of the ship fell to the road and rolled around it, now resembling a semi crushed can. The speeders behind skidded to a halt, their route cut off. Drake rolled over on his back and gave the cops a two fingered salute. "Have fun! I'll pick up a souvenir for you," Drake shouted above the din of the speeder engines. He twisted back on his stomach, and pulled out his pistols.

They were close to to the senate building, and Drake could hear the commotion as guards ran to secure the vehicle and the senator. The compound was large, ships and other such vessels everywhere. Crates were scattered around Some worn some untouched. A massive hangar dwarfed the whole junction. The convoy wasn't slowing down, they were going for it. If they managed to trap Drake in there, he was screwed. But, he couldn't lose the senator either! Drake had one shot. The hangar door panel sat at chest level on the far right of it. Drake could see it, and he aimed for it. If he hit it, he could fry the door shut. He breathed in and fired a succession of three bolts at the access code mount. Before he saw results, Blaster fire flew at him and he rolled off the slowing vehicle behind a stack of boxes.

He was pinned, and he had to go before the cops behind him found a detour.

The battle was going well. Too well, if there was such a thing.

Heh. The Federation types are probably panicking right now. Their newest models still are having too many issues.

He spun around in midair, swerving away from some enemy 'shots' while squeezing off some shots of his own before finally coming down to the ground behind a caltrop.

Looks like my contract will be extended if this keeps up. Droids can never match a Mandalorian of any clan.

"Keep it up!" he responded neutrally over his comlink connection. There was no real emotion in it, they were just droids assigned to him for a single practice session, not true comrades. But it was habit nevertheless.

Now. It was time to plan the next moveā€¦

Except that was when the pinging sound came through his helm. Focusing in on it, he saw the contents and realized the sounds of mock battle had also just stopped. The exercise was at an end. They must really be panicking to just end it like that.

But orders were orders. Apparently he was to head for a location in one of the spires. Probably one of the war rooms where they'd be observing from afar. Either they were going to be angry, which he could easily turn to fear to extend his contract, or they had seen enough. From there he'd have to see what their next words were to form a proper response.

As soon as things seemed in order at the Hills, he left for the spire.

    ***A Short Time Later***

A fellow Mandalorian was the last thing he had expected to see, though he barely showed that in his movements when he entered the War Room. Without turning his head to look at the woman fully, he allowed his eyes to sweep over them. Clan Ordo? What were they doing here?

"You called?" he asked the Neimodian.

    Disembarking the Second Thought

Once the freighter had settled down onto the landing pad, the pad itself began to move, downward into a deep shaft as armored doors closed above them.
"Scrat!" Shuk'la's mind re-calculated and re-adjusted to account for the docking environment he found himself in.

"New plan," he clicked via internal comm channel, "I'll proceed as the representative of House Viszla. While I'm gone I need you to quietly find the ship manifest and locate our rival's vessels. Did you bring any explosives?"
    "Hell Yeah!"
"Plant them and return back to the Thought, unseen."
    "Yes Sir!"

As the Second Thought's boarding ramp was lowered a droid approached and spoke with a slightly feminine sounding vocabulator. "I am TC-47, human-cyborg relations. My master has sent me to escort you to the central spire. Is there anything else you require?"

"Not at the moment." Shuk'la stated authoritatively. "Lead the way, droid."

The armored speeder van careened along, the occupants aware of but unable to do anything about the chaos which ensued outside the confines of relative safety. They were fast approaching the Senate complex, and once inside their safety would be all but assured, even from the crazed actions of the Mandalorian assassin that had assaulted them. Inside the armored van, the Senator, the real Senator, was cowering in fear at the bottom of the foot wells. It was a ridiculous look for her, made all the more ignominious by the bounty hunter's garb she wore. She had hated this part of the plan, but looking at the ashen faced bodyguard wearing her senatorial garb made her rethink things. Maybe having the hired body double wasn't such a bad idea after all she though, recalling the two blaster bolts that had finally worked their way through the durasteel chest plate she had worn under the senate robes. If that had been the Senator she would be dead by now, the bodyguard was made of sterner stuff, though from the way she was breathing heavily, it didn't seem like she was long for this world either.

The van increased speed as it headed for a mostly empty hanger, it was one of those hardened kinds, made to protect high value starships from aerial or spaceborne bombardment. It was doubtful that even the Mandalorian assassin had anything on him that could punch through, if they could get inside. The bodyguard convulsed, her visage slipping from that of the senator to her natural form, a Clawdite. Senator Beedan's other hired bodyguard (another Mandalorian ironically enough) had worked with her before and suggested this plan, now the Clawdite looked at his T-Visor, her eyes wild with rage. "Avenge me," she hissed to him with her dying breath as she kicked the door open and pushed Susulur Dha'tra out onto the hard street.

At the same time the assassin also rolled off of the vehicle, firing a trio of blasts at the hanger's door panel. They hit home, causing the large hanger bay doors to come crashing closed, but not before the armored van slammed through the opening, getting clipped in the process by one of the rapidly closing doors. The van spun around violently before coming to rest inside the hanger just as the doors snapped shut. She was safe, the Senator breathed a sigh of relief, not giving a second thought to the Mandalorian bodyguard now facing down the Mandalorian would be assassin.

    IC: Beskaryc Taab
en route to Calna Muun Spaceport, Agamar

"Sentaor is secure," Taab heard over the tactical frequency as he continued his orbit around the spaceport. Moments before the rest of his "company" had manged to secure their portion of the spaceport perimeter and now the Mandalorian was jetting off to join them. He had lost sight of the assassin and the Senator's convoy shortly after calling in his contact report, so it was good to know that she was now safe. Still he had to wonder as to the fate of the assassin.

"Taab, we've got a situation..." the voice of his company commander called out in his buy'ce before relaying a set of co-ordinates, they were very near where the report of the shot having originated. Looked like the shooter had been cornered there. "We're good here, but the local's need some help getting the shooter extracted. He's a Mandalorian so figured you might be able to help." Another Mandalorian? That made two of them in on the assassination after the one Taab had seen following the Senator's convoy. Seemed maybe she had done something to anger one of the Houses and had now earned a death sentence. Taab couldn't concern himself with that now though, he had his orders and he now angled his way towards a grassy knoll very near the landing pad.

He landed in the soft grass on knoll, around him was strewn the wreckage of several police speeders as well as the bodies of several constable. Those were irrelevant though, what was relevant was the other Mandalorian standing a few yards away, the Mandalorian holding a thermal detonator. Taab considered raising his blaster carbine at him, but resisted that urge. The slightest provocation could cause him to use the shabla thing. Instead he walked calmly towards the man before stopping well out of arms reach. He was House Vizsla, the marking on his armor told Taab that much. To a man such as his uncle, one of the few holdouts from House Mereel and the True Mandalorians, that made this man his blood enemy.

Taab though had tried his best to stay away from the blood feuds and messy internal politics of Mandalore. It was too hard to keep up with. Even so, he recoiled inwardly at the sight of the sigil for House Vizsla, even among those that didn't care, old habits died hard. "Quite a situation we've got her eh ner vod?" The man likely considered Taab (whose own clan and house affiliation were easily recognizable by anyone knowing how to look) anything like a brother, but this was a delicate circumstance. "What say you safe that detonator and we settle this like a pair of mando'ade?"

    IC: Orgo Rosos (NPC)
    "War Room", Geonosis

"I would like to see these droideka models." The Mandalorian called Asha Ordo proclaimed expectantly. The look she gave the Neimoidian Orgo Rosos brooked no argument. Rosos blinked his eyes twice in response, "but of course," he said bowing slightly, obsequiously. Her demeanor had cowed him, even though inwardly he was rather pleased at this turn of events. the droideka line was notoriously expensive, if he could glean even a small order from House Ordo it would help defray the cost of keeping the line open.

"And I will speak to your contractor." The Mandalorian began to pace and Rosos began to wonder what had aggravated her so. "Of course," he said again, a favorite expression it seemed when speaking to a potential client. "He is being recalled as we speak."

"Mandalorians are great warriors; but don't assume we are all great leaders in battles." She chided him as she paced, though her bemused smile expressed something other than annoyance with him. That was good, it meant the potential for a deal was still good.

A sudden noise from the "war room's" outer balcony caught his attention, the sound was new to Rosos but would have been very familiar to any Mandalorian, the *whoosh* of a jetpack and the soft, but discernible, *thud* of it's occupant setting down. The Contractor was here. The Mandalorian strode into the war room, strutting as if he owned the place. Rosos struggled to keep his expression neutral, but noted how the contractor looked the potential client up and down. Did he know her already, or was he examining her for weakness? Rosos sighed inwardly, with these Mandalorians it was hard to tell.

"You called?" he asked. His armor was dust covered, the thick red dust of Geonosis seemed to get everywhere and then stick to most anything. "Ah yes, Zolrin Fourd, this is Asha Ordo a client who is looking at procuring a number of droids for her...House, I believe it is called?" He gestured to the female Mandalorian, the vagaries of Mandalorian politics eluded him, he had no idea how the two would greet one another. This was a business meeting, so he expected no hostility between the members of two rival Houses. At least nothing that would rise to the level of actual physical violence.

"She witnessed the demonstr..." he began but was interrupted by the arrival of a droid at the main entryway, opposite the room from the balcony upon which Fourd alighted. "Excuse me for interrupting," the droid called TC-47 apologized. "But this is Master Shuk'la Ruus, of House Vizsla," she introduced the Mandalorian whose name and allegiance she had learned on the way to the war room.

"Ah yes, of course, of course. Welcome, welcome. Please come in." Rosos was annoyed at the droid's interruption, but not at the appearance of another potential client. Perhaps both would see fit to make orders, or even escalate things into a bidding war. "As I was saying Ms. Ordo witnessed your demonstration of what a Mandalorian could do with but a small number of our droids against a vastly larger force," The lie rolled off of Rosos's lips effortlessly now. Of course the real reason for the exercise was to train the prototype tactical droids before they could be made ready for production. In that regard it seemed the droid type wasn't learning nearly fast enough and couldn't keep up with the intuition and instinctive know how of an organic warrior.

"Perhaps you would care to debrief us and tell our guests what a wonderful addition these droids could be to augment their own soldiers."

    Security team 8-1-24
    Landing Pad 94, Geonosis

Following the departure of TC-47 and her Mandalorian guest two droids took up station outside the freighter called the Second Thought. The crimson colored flashes on the skeletal looking bodies of the B-1 battle droids denoted them as security models, with all the accompanying programming and protocols to not only guard the ship, but ensure nothing untoward happened in their area of responsibility.

Above them the armored doors had closed ensuring that no attack would come from above. To their right as they stood at the bottom of the now closed boarding ramp of the Second Thought, was the doorway that TC-47 and the Mandalorian pilot of this vessel had departed on their way to the spire, and to their left was a larger opening and ramp that led down to the logistic bays which ran underneath the landing pads. From that ramp would come any manner of repair and fueling trucks and droids to maintain a craft landed on this pad. Those logistics bays were connected via a pattern of vast passageways to allow for the transfer of large cargo offloaded from a ship or for parts to maintain one. That way was silent for now though, no cargo was to be offloaded here, and no maintenance or fuel had been requested. So it was just the two lonely droids of security team 8-1-24 that stood silent vigil over the landing pad 94 waiting for the pilot to return and the craft to leave before moving on to their next assignment.

Drake pushed himself up off the ground, knocking the crates and supply canisters off him. Not daring to look, Drake closed his eyes and tried not to imagine how much it would cost to fix his armor. However, look he did. Small dents covered his chest plate, but they weren't that bad, especially accounting with all the stupid stuff he had done that day. Done checking himself, Drake swiveled upwards, aiming his dual pistols at empty landing tarmac. Or, mostly empty. A dead, seemingly shriveled creature lay on the ground, wearing the senator's uniform. It looked like a clawdite. However, that wasn't the important. The important part was the very alive, and most likely, very angry Mandalorian pointing a very real pistol right at him.
The hangar bay door was closed, but the bottom was visibly chinked. Alarms were going off, and the complex was going under lockdown. Red lights flashed, and a loud, bleeping sound rang through the mostly silent area. The only noise, distant yelling from across the city. A ship circled the space sport, before landing out of view. But, back to the more important matter- The Mando.
"Who are you?" Drake called out.

It was not long after Jax grabbed the detonator that he noticed the arival of yet another. Not an ordinary constable, however. This man was Mandalorian. Not just mandalorian but a blood enemy of house Viszla. Jax looked him over for a bit, then said. "Well, I'm glad I got this nifty little device."

The other Mandalorian commented. "What say you safe that detonator and we settle this like a pair of mando'ade?"

Jax shook his head. "I know all too well it won't matter if I win or loose. The local authorities will be on top of me before the fight is finished. What say you I leave this scene behind, taking said detonator with me, and so long as no one stands in my way it never explodes?"

Asha observed the other Mandalorians, and was a little surprised she was encountering fellow Mandalorians. Apparently that intel her Vode had gathered had been accurate. She hesitated for a second more before placing one arm across her chest, helmet in her opposite hand as she bowed low.

"Su cuy'gar, Ni vercopa gar battles ganar dar pirusti burc'ya." Asha told them before standing up and meeting their gazes again. She looked towards Shuk'la Ruus and added, "I haven't been around a member of House Vizsla for some time. Not since I finished my cadet training." When she turned her gaze towards Zolrin Fourd. "I'm afraid I don't know your house very well Vode. My apologises."

I think I'm at a disadvantage. Great. But why are they buying droids too? Especially House Vizsla. They have more warriors then House Ordo, and are better trained then us. Its why we send some of our cadets to them. It's why I was trained there.

Asha shifted on her feet, tensing up. She had no idea what their reactions to a member of House Ordo would be. It wasn't as if they had any idea she would be there. Hopefully I can find out their thoughts on these droids. I don't want to make a mistake.

Asha Ordo. A fellow Mandalorian. And she was looking to buy some droids for her House was she? Behind his buy'ce, his eyes narrowed though he nodded affirmatively to the neimodian's questioning gaze over getting the term correct.

His next words were cut off, but it said enough. She had watched his most recent fight. Not something he was particularly glad of. He was here to help his client, not potential enemies. Granted, a fellow Mandalorian was an odd cross between friend and foe, but with recent tensions between Houses, he found himself oft thinking it was usually the latter.

And then came the droid who introduced a second Mando. Shuk'la Ruus. House Vizsla. There was no way this was coincidence. Three mandalorians in the same place at the same time, each from different Houses? It felt off. His gut was telling him something was off, but Zolrin knew he couldn't just act on it.

Keeping a sigh in check as Rosos went on and clearly became excited for a bigger sell, damn salespeople, he opened it up to him to try to deliver. If he wasn't under contractā€¦

He was silent a moment before turning fully to face the other two and taking a close position to the neimodian, just on the off chance he was being targeted, and folded his arms.

"Su'cuy, vod," he replied with a nod.

She was talkative and attempting to piece together information openly. Nothing was certain, could be an excellent actor, but the chances of her genuinely being here to purchase droids was increased.

The other remained silent with only a single tilt of his head in acknowledgement of his name. That neither moved him up or down. But in comparison to the other, made him the prime suspicion at the moment.

He patted the aliit on his armor in response to Asha as well. "Clan Fourd. House Mereel. Give it time, you'll hear of us sooner or later, I'm sure," he paused to look at his client a moment to ascertain that he did indeed want him to make a sales pitch before looking at the other two again, "Let me know what model and type you're thinking of, I can give you the best possible use. Even the older versions."

That should make Rosos happy and keep things civil between the mandosā€¦if they were here to truly buy. In fact. One more thing. The unbalancing shot.

"Vaii cuyir ashi?" (Where are the others?)

..House Mereel...Shuk'la tensed up at the name, and then relaxed again. The source of his father's shame, tainted honor, and self-exile all stemmed from the bad blood between the True Mandalorians and Death Watch. The rivalry lessened as of late, without Tor, but especially with the power vacuum that seemed to strengthen the resolve of all clans and House to claim king of the hill. "Give it time, you'll hear of us sooner or later, I'm sure." It was fortunate that Shuk'la still had his helmet donned, to conceal his clenched bite.

Clan Ruus was a black sheep in the House for the level-headed temperament their reputation was built on. Calculated Killers, which often collided with Shuk'la's natural temperament to be a hot-head. It made him well liked among the brass of the House, but often put him at odds with his clan brothers. The smug remark from Zolrin nearly set him off, but Shuk'la acted upon his clan side, and kept his mouth shut. The self-control was agonizing but necessary. The mission takes priority.

"Let me know what model and type you're thinking of, I can give you the best possible use. Even the older versions." He followed up with a question, to which Shuk'la ignored. "Vaii cuyir ashi?"

"Seeing as I missed the demonstration, indulge me a moment." He stepped closer into the circle they had formed, using his hands to talk, "It's been said among my aliit, 'never send a droid to do a man's job.' Credits don't grow on trees and resources are limited. Why should Mandalorian warriors trust themselves to predictable machines?"

"We shouldn't." Asha says plainly, as though she isn't as impressed with the droids as she appears to be. "These droids cannot compare to a true Mandalorian warrior. But they could be a good distraction."

I'm surprised. The only droids I can see being of use are the droideka models. And that's only if we can improve their shields.

Asha turned her gaze to stare at the holo table again and frowned. "I want to see more results. House Ordo does not take matters lightly, and trust me when I say we will not be played for fools." She felt a little nervous, hoping no one would see that comment as a threat. It wasn't intended to be.

    IC: Susulur Dha'tra
    Calna Muun Spaceport, Agamar

They were racing to the compound that was their security and safe harbor in the armored speeder van, all were aware but unable to anything about the dangers. The Mandalorian assassin that had assaulted them was riding the group, a thorn in their side that they could not shake. Inside the armored van, the Senator, the real Senator, was cowering in fear at the bottom of the foot wells. It was a ridiculous look for her, made all the more ignominious by the bounty hunter's garb she wore. She had hated this part of the plan, and Dha'tra would be lying if he did not say he was deriving some satisfaction from having his plan save her life. Although looking at the one in the senatorial garb brushed such smug emotions aside as soon as he looked at her.

The van increased speed as it headed for a mostly empty hanger, it was one of those hardened kinds, made to protect high value starships from aerial or spaceborne bombardment. An actually good bunker, and a place where he wished they had landed in the first place, but publicity was one of those things that senators just had to have. It was doubtful that the Mandalorian had anything that could harm them inside without blowing himself up in the process. The bodyguard convulsed, her visage slipping from that of the senator to her natural form, a Clawdite. She looked at his T-Visor, her eyes wild with rage. "Avenge me," she hissed to him with her dying breath as she kicked the door open and pushed Susulur Dha'tra out onto the hard street.

As he rolled across the tarmac of duracrete he muttered, "Well that was unexpected." At the same time the assassin also rolled off of the vehicle, firing a trio of blasts at the hanger's door panel. They hit home, causing the large hanger bay doors to come crashing closed, but not before the armored van slammed through the opening, getting clipped in the process by one of the rapidly closing doors. The van spun around violently before coming to rest inside the hanger just as the doors snapped shut. Using his tumbling momentum he brought himself into a crouch. Standing he oriented as he drew his DC-15s, turning around he noted motion. Or rather he did in his bucce's 360 degree compressed vision strip.

Crates and supply canisters were being knocked around off a form. A form wearing beskar possibly, but definitely wearing the armor. Armor just like the one that attacked them. The mando had swiveled upwards, aiming his dual pistols at landing tarmac. One to two. Didn't matter as Dha'tra lined up his target. The cross in the T visor of the other Mando. "Who are you?" Drake called out.

"Just someone doing a job. Vizla has been busy." He commented as he took a small step forward. "I want no trouble with your house. Surrender or run. Fight, and you will die." he simply spoke with a clear voice.

"I want no trouble with your house. Surrender or run. Fight, and you will die," said his mysterious opponent.

However Drake hated to admit it, the Mando Bodyguard was right. He looked a lot more experienced, and Drake simply didn't have the time for this.Think, he told himself. Drake began to scan the area, eyes flicking back and forth. His helmet was immobile, giving the outward expression of a contemplating enemy.

A balcony a few stories above the scene jutted out of the building. Not necessarily large, but it broke the monotonous architecture of the gray, curved building. A railing and a slightly inverted, foot and a half wall surrounded the edge of the platform. Interesting. He blinked and attempted to bring up schematics of to structure. Nothing. All info was classified.

Of course, Darke planned to kill the senator without having to follow the convoy. Actually, a lot of stuff went wrong. His speeder got blown up, and once he killed Beedan, his ship was still on the other side of Calna Munn. Drake thought of grappling to the porch, but dismissed it instantly. Way to far. Then, A sharp noise jarred him back to reality.

Sirens echoed through the city. The police must of found a detour. Rushing, Drake began to panic. He had to go. He took one small step backward and stumbled into a crate on a repulsorlift. Ah. A plan began to formulate. Drake took another step backward towards the suspended crates and swung behind. The balcony was not so out of reach.

Drake had to one up his opponent; it was in his nature. "Neither," Drake yelled. He began to heave the crate forward, reaching a reasonable speed. As quick as lightning, Drake swung his leg up and transferred his weight onto his knees. He pushed himself up into a standing position. Drake gave a salute and jumped.he kicked in a small bit with his jetpack, his back vibrating uncomfortably with the release of such raw power. However, that energy gave him the few crucial meters he needed. Pointing his arm at the railing, he fired his grappling hook, praying it would connect.

For a second, Drake felt a drop in his stomach, and he was filled with terror as the hook arched and seemingly missed its target. Drake reached the climax of his jump, feeling the sensation of floating, and for a millisecond, the absence of gravity. Unfortunately, that was short lived as he began to plummet downward. Drake flailed around, his life flashing before his eyes. Luckily, he wasn't to die. The grappling hook caught the railing by an inch and the cord wrapped itself around the solid beam instantly.

Drake was hit with a sharp spike of pain in his shoulder, where the tug had nearly dislocated his right shoulder. Drake winced, and it began to go away. Drake didn't think it was too serious. Although he did not realize it now, it was miraculous Drake survived. Another two inches, and... Drake's glorious career would have been sufficiently shortened.

Drake sped up his literal lifeline, assisted by the motorized coil system. Within seconds, he was to the edge of the balcony. He swung upwards onto the perch and committed to a nice, cushioning roll. Right into a durasteel wall. Drake cursed. Another dent to be repaired. Drake peered over the edge. Sirens and lights blared from the multitude of police cruisers below him. He waved, and for his cockiness, almost received a haircut from a police sniper, blaster style. He ducked, and fished through his bag for an exothermal breaching charge. Oh, those were fun.

He felt it, and pulled it out of his supply sack gingerly. Unraveling it, he mounted it on the door. No, Drake thought with relish, knocking really wasn't him. Drake went to the far end of the balcony, and activated the device. A familiar hissing immediately filled the air, and the balcony shook with the explosion. In an instant, both pistols were drawn and sweeping the extravagant bedroom. It was clear, and his adrenaline rush subsided.

He turned around to see blaster bolts flying through the air, coming from the ground, desperately trying to hit a man who wasn't even there. Drake smirked. They definitely saw the fireworks. Shaking his head, Drake told himself to get focused. He needed to get to the senator. But, like everything in a mercenary's life, easier said than done. He had no building plans; he was as good as blind. A short burst of dread shot through him. But he took a deep breath and calmed himself.

He remembered all the hours of training: sweeping and clearing, shooting, surviving. It would be difficult, but Drake was prepared. He could do it. He was trained for it. Drake steeled his heart and continued on.

Sorry for the lack of updates. This summer is proving to be rather more involved and busy than last. That said, here we go...

    GM Update
Exterior Senate complex, Calna Muun, Agamar

Outside the locked down Senate building more and more police (and even a small planetary militia unit) arrived in time to see the Mandalorian assassin make his escape. Well no, not an escape, an attempt at completing his mission, even in the face of impossible odds. Many stared up dumbfounded at the assassin as he made his violent entrance into the building. Some retained the where with all to fire upon him before he entered, though if anyone hit they appeared to do no damage. The commanding officer of the Militia present, an lean man with the rank of major looked at the remaining Mandalorian. His armor was different from the assassin, and he had been briefed en route that this was the Senator's bodyguard. Pointing up where the assassin had just disappeared into the building the Major yelled to the bodyguard. "Well don't just stand there, go after him!"

If things outside the Senate office building could be considered chaotic, inside it was downright bedlam. Many office workers had gathered near the windows when the approaching sirens alerted them to an issue outside, straining to get a glimpse of what was happening. Those efforts were dashed when the building went into lock down, and lightly armored shutters closed down over their view. Managers told everyone to get back to work, but throughout the building very little work got done. Blaster fire could be heard outside, and then an explosion rocked the building. Office peons and managers alike screamed and shouted, demanding to know what was going on, but there were no answers. Soon a dreaded announcement came in over the building's built in PA system. "Active shooter in building. Shelter in place."

With the announcement lights throughout the building were turned off and doors and access ways locked. Some enterprising individuals barricaded the rooms they were in further by moving heavy desks and office furniture to block doorways. Those of a more martial bent cursed the office policy of not allowing them to keep their own personal blasters at work and began making plans on how to defend themselves and each other by throwing chairs, scissors and heavy binders at the shooter if he or she gained entry to their room. Others forgot to lock the doors and simply cowered under their desks or in their cubicles.

It was into one of these rooms that the Mandalorian assassin burst into. It was a long and broad room, filled with cubicles and computer terminals. It looked like middle management hell. Many of the terrified office staff screamed at the sight of armed man, while others stood dumbfounded in their cubicles trying to make sense of what they were seeing. One man, a Nautolan, threw his caf mug at the Mandalorian, but it bounced harmlessly to the floor after glancing off his left pauldron. Scanning the room through his T-Visor, Drake would have been able to see that the room had one other exit (aside from the doorway he had just entered). It was on the far side of the room, perhaps 20 meter away, and led further into the maze that was the Senate building. To his right was a window from which the office staff had been watching the unfolding drama outside before the terror had come to them. It was sealed shut with flimsy "blaster proof" light armor shutters now.

Suddenly shots to ring out from the doorway ahead as well aimed blaster fire struck Drake's armor, knocking him down and leaving a nice pocked scorch mark in the Mandalorian Iron plate. The room erupted into chaos at that with people running around screaming and pushing, but there was no where safe for them to go. More shots rang out filling the room, and some office staff, with blaster fire that sailed over the proned out Mandalorian. "Drop your weapons, there is no where for you to go!"

"I know all too well it won't matter if I win or loose. The local authorities will be on top of me before the fight is finished. What say you I leave this scene behind, taking said detonator with me, and so long as no one stands in my way it never explodes?" The Vizsla affiliated assassin replied with disdain, even condescension, to Taab's naive effort at a resolution. The younger Mandalorian hadn't considered that. He had given his own word and figured that should be enough. While keeping his T-Visor centered on the assassin he slewed the view to glance at the police officers arrayed against him. The looks on their faces told Taab that the assassin was right, they weren't going to abide by any agreement made between the two Mandalorians. Blood had been spilled here, and they wanted payback. Worse yet, more were arriving. As soon as the assassin gave up his thermal detonator they would open fire.

Taab sighed as he frowned behind his faceplate, looking back at the assassin again. Taking a step back he gave an ever so slight nod of acknowledgment to his adversary. "Very well," he replied sullenly as he primed his jetpack. The police, seeing what was about to happen, were enraged. Unable to come to terms with the idea of letting this assassin go, their rage overcame even their own survival instinct. After all, he couldn't kill them all, and each officer knew in his heart he would be one of the survivors.

His back to the officers, Taab didn't see their escalating hostility. His first indication of danger was when one of the officers cried out. "Shoot them, shoot them both!"** The officers complied, they had to. Taab was in such close proximity to the assassin that any shots fired on him might as well have been fired at Taab was well. Spinning around, Taab had just enough time to see the blaster bolts start to fly.

With the three Mandalorians in the room tensions had risen considerably even as they made their introductions to one another. They seemed friendly enough, but ever attuned to the moods of his clients the Neimoidian Orgo Rosos could feel the anxiety, the careful phrasing and general animosity between these three. Perhaps having three Mandalorians from differing Houses in the same room together was not such a good idea after all. Even worse, words had been exchanged in that infernal foreign tongue of theirs. The Neimoidian understood nothing of mando'a, and thought it sounded like the slurred speech of a drunken grub punctuated with the occasional harsh guttural utterances. At least the Contractor was playing along in the role of salesman. Perhaps Rosos had been to eager to have him eliminated in arena as a weapons demonstration for these other too. The others however were not playing along. Even after what she had seen (or maybe because of it) the woman from House Ordo remained unconvinced as to the droids effectiveness against organics of the Mandalorian's reputation. The other seemed even more skeptical. It seemed the lethal demonstration against the contractor would have to go through after all.

"We have prepared a small weapons demonstration for you two of course." He gestured towards the entryway. "A non lethal demonstration naturally," the lie slipped easily from his lips. "Where we would pit a number of our droids against our servant here." His large Neimoidan eyes blinked twice. "It will be held in the Petranaki arena, the locals use it for... ritual executions, but it will serve our purposes well here and I will ensure that more droideka models are added in for our demonstration."

"It will be held in the Petranaki arena, the locals use it for... ritual executions, but it will serve our purposes well here and I will ensure that more droideka models are added in for our demonstration."

As the group was signaled to exit the war room, Shuk'la paused and checked his comlink for any hailings from Kyr'am. Nothing. The silence could mean anything. He could be setting the charges this very moment. Shuk'la knew his own blind optimism wasn't helping, he just needed to keep waiting, and keep playing along.

"Do these updated models maintain themselves or will they require a full time mech to keep them operating smoothly?" He spoke as he walked, keeping an eye on the Contractor and she from Clan Ordo.

Father needs to know what's going on. And that members from House Mereel and House Vizsla were here. Maybe he could call Alor Bjorn of House Vizsla for advice, or maybe he can tell them that I'm not a threat to House Vizsla. I did train with their house as a Verd'ika as I grew up.

    IC: Susulur Dha'tra
    Calna Muun Senate Exterior, Agamar

Outside the locked down Senate building more and more police (and even a small planetary militia unit) arrived in time to see the Mandalorian assassin make his departure. The House Vizsla assassin had chosen none of the three options Susulur had expected. Neither surrender, no surprise with that one, nor fleeing the scene, which was a small surprise, nor attack, a bit of a surprise. He had fully expected a fight to the death right there right then, instead it looked like the Mando decided to make a run attempt at an end run around to the Senator. Many stared up dumbfounded at the assassin as he made his violent entrance into the building, Dha'tra simply muttered, "Well, I'll be a Huttling." This one was full of surprises it would seem and he had just passed up his one good chance to take him out easily.

Some retained the where with all to fire upon him before he entered, though if anyone hit they appeared to do no damage, something true for the two pot shots Dha'tra had taken once the change in direction of determination instead of tactile flight was discovered. The commanding officer of the Militia present, an lean man with the rank of major looked at the remaining Mandalorian. His armor was different from the assassin, and he had been briefed en route that this was the Senator's bodyguard. At least that is what Pointing up where the assassin had just disappeared into the building the Major yelled to the bodyguard. "Well don't just stand there, go after him!"

Dha'tra turned to look at the man and worried his lips a little, not that the man could see it through his helmet. "I'll take that as temporary enlistment in the militia for the purpose of taking this criminal in. All damages I am no longer responsible for in doing as requested." Walking forward he crouched and leaped up into the air. His rocket boots assisting to lift him toward the balcony the other Mando had used as an entry into a room of the Agamarian Senate building. With a good vantage into the building he should be able to see what is going on as soon as he walked closer. Still he paused and swapped out his blaster for his Verpine. Slapping a cartridge into place he cocked the weapon and made sure one of the round bearings was loaded into the chamber and popped open the front of the scopes cover. The wireless back piece he switched on began wirelessly transmitting to his bucce as a set of two rectangular targeting brackets. A simple line of fire, the first set showing mid range or target hit point and the second the far field of what is down range based on angles. With the current close quarters, the two symbles were a mismatched overlay at the same point as he began to walk toward the door. Hearing blaster fire he made one last systems check.

With a flick of his tongue he turned on his own systems loudspeaker, and with a blink his range finder at the side of his helmet lowered into place. "By the authority of the Agamar Militia, surrender or die." he simply stated as he walked toward the doorway, weapon held at the ready at his waist.

Jax gave a nod as the Mandalorian in front of him agreed to his terms. An almost respectful nod. Jax hadn't assumed it would be quite that easy. Then the police force began to react and Jax realized... it wouldn't be all that easy after all.

It was then that one of the officers cried out. "Shoot them, shoot them both!"

"Blow it all to-" Jax spoke before the sound of blaster fire cut him short. He took a split second to glance at the other Mandalorian out of caution. It seemed he was deemed -collateral damage- by the local police force. Jax dove for the nearest patch of cover, tossed his detonator plenty far away from him and into the thick of the police. The explosion was far too close for comfort but Jax was mostly unaffected. Through the smoke and flying debris Jax managed to grab a gun and began shooting blindly into the smoke, trying to punch a whole through the surrounding officers so he could make a run for it.

    Zolrin Fourd IC:
    ~War Room, Geonosis~

There was a distinct lack of reaction to his question in mando'a. That could be a good thing. Except there was one problem. It was a lack of reaction.

Not confusion. Nor irritation at a potentially irrational question/paranoid suspicion. No. Intentional ignorance.

It was not a guarantee, this Shuk'la Ruus still managed to avoid giving Zolrin that. But. He did raise his mental alarm nevertheless. His suspicion grew rather than diminished.

Something was going on. Had to be.

His eyes narrowed behind his helmet while the fellow mandalorian spoke. He posed a good, if general, question about trusting machines that was promptly answered by Asha Ordo. The very answer he would have given were he not the contracted one helping the Trade Federation.

The woman than pressed for further results, playing up the intention to not be played.

"She's right, don't trust yourself to the machine. But they can be made to assist efficiently," a pause, "If you've the aptitude to command."

That was when Orgo Rosos finally stepped in once more. Zolrin idly wondered if he had finally caught onto the tension in the room. Neimodians were sensitive like that, it was entirely plausible.

Sounded like he wanted to give an additional demonstration then, unsurprisingly, in the Petranaki Arena. Droids versus him again.

He kept the sigh only within his mind.

    No rest for the wicked.

As they slowly began to move with the neimodian, the other mandalorians continued their questions. Shuk'la's question was best answered by Orgo, so he waited. Federation types had to do their job, he was there to test.

He kept quiet as he moved, his head facing forward, but his helm was quickly analyzing his surroundings in every manner possible. Something still felt off to him.

Sound, heat, magnification on any spotted suspicious movements, etc.

Zolrin hoped he was simply being paranoid this time around, but time would tell.

    IC: Drake

Drake entered the room, and whatever delusions of grandeur he had were immediately dashed. He had never been in a Senate building before, so he expected an expensive suite filled with antiques and costly personal effects. However, that was not at all what was in front of him. Instead it was a large room of cubicles, workers, and caf machines.

They stared at him, dumbfounded. Predictably, they froze up. Classic civvies, Drake thought. Suddenly he felt a lot more confident. He strode forward when he heard yelling and loud footsteps from the hallway outside of the office space. Then the accountants and employees seemed to wake up, and they sprinted for the exits. One man threw a mug at him, impacting his shoulder plate. The mug exploded into tiny shards, completely harmless. The man seemed to realize he couldn't do anything, and followed the frenzied crowd in a desperate bid to exit the room.

The yelling was getting louder, and there was a loud clang. Drake looked at the door where it had come from. It was covered with chairs and desks, in a feeble attempt to either fortify the room or trap him in. It didn't do anything to stop the police, though. The door was forced open, and blaster bolts flew into the room, blowing apart the walls of the cubicles and sending debris everywhere. The workers left in the room screamed, and Drake tried to take cover. A bolt then seared through a cubicle wall, hitting him in the chest and knocked him over.

Drake drew one of his pistols, and began to pour shots at the door. He had to get out of here. Stat. He stayed low, one hand over his head, the other firing indiscriminately at the door. He threw himself behind a filing cabinet, reloading his pistol. Then he heard a familiar hum. A jetpack. A loud projected voice carried into the office, even above the gunfire. "By authority of the Agamar Militia, surrender or die."

    The Mando.

Drake definitely had to leave now. He engaged both pistols, and prepared to fight it out.

Blaster fire continued to rip through both doorways into the room where the Mandalorian assassin, Drake Sanger, had found refuge. None of the responding security staff could actually see the Mandalorian now, but the fire was utilized to pin him down until he either surrendered or they were able to muster enough men to rush the room and disable him. Of course, there was another option, one that didn't put their own lives quite as much into harms way as all of that. There was the other, eclectically equipped, Mandalorian who called out, "By authority of the Agamar Militia, surrender or die," from his position just outside the room where the assassin had found himself pinned down. The security staff looked to one another, wondering if the intruder would really surrender. His people didn't really have a reputation as quitters. "I think you're going to have to go in there after him," one of them said to the Mandalorian on their side before amending his statement with a late "...sir."

    "Shoot them, shoot them both!"

Taab froze for a moment, the words echoing in his buy'ce. He wanted to look back at the police line to see what the shab was going on back there, but he dared not take his eyes off of the Mandalorian in front of him. "Shoot them both?" He whispered to himself, "what the shab does that mean?" He found out a moment later as a pair of blaster bolts thudded against his armor and threw him to the ground. Those shabuire were trying to kill him! Rage flashed in his eyes as blaster bolts flew overhead. He was down, the other Mando though apparently was not. An explosion lifted him up off the ground for a fraction of an instant before depositing his armored bulk back in the same spot. Looking towards the immediate threat, the police shooting at him, he saw that a thermal detonator had been thrown into the midst of their ranks, killing many of them and wounding several others. The rate of fire slackened and Taab could see the other Mandalorian making his escape on foot.

Standing up Taab brushed the dirt from the front of his armor and smashed an armored glove into his beskar plates, testing their integrity. "Good," he mumbled to himself at hearing a solid thump from each strike. They had held up under fire, though a few new scorch marks marred several plates. Nothing a bit of paint couldn't cover though, he doubted he needed to see the clan beskar smith for repair this time.

Glancing around through the smoke he could see several police officers down helping the wounded, there was no sign of the Mandalorian assassin, and none of the police officers seemed to give him a second look now. That was a mistake. Taab approached them, still seething from his near death at their hands. Seeing him approach one of them looked startled for a moment before offering an explanation, and an excuse. "The captain's dead." he motioned to the body of the man who had ordered the police to fire upon Taab and the assassin. Taab glanced over at body, torn to shreds by the exploding detonator. The sight calmed Taab's seething anger, "Good riddance," he said quietly, almost to himself before turning his attention to the other officers. "The other guy got away, do you have any medical training, we could use the..." Taab looked down to the officer and the wounded comrade he was helping dispassionately. Taab's anger was gone, but the facts hadn't changed. This man and the others had just tried to kill Taab. That could be forgiven, many had tried to kill him in the past, it was just the cost of doing business. Even shooting someone in the back wasn't a cardinal sin. But these aruetiise had betrayed his trust, supposed allies they had turned on him at a crucial moment simply for the purposes of their own convenience. Yes, they had only been following orders, but since when was that an excuse to abandon one's personal honor? It could not be allowed to stand.

"You have no honor." Taab said it as if pronouncing a death sentence, and he was. Drawing one of his Westar-35s Taab fired a bolt through his skull with no trace of emotion. The man fell and even before he hit the ground Taab had turned and begun to fire on the other uninjured officers. Stunned that their supposed ally had now turned on them only one even managed to raise his weapon at Taab before a bolt took off the back of his head, though the officer didn't get off a shot. The others, the wounded on the ground, saw the carnage but were unable to stop it, or their own impending deaths. One by one Taab went to them where they lay on the ground and put a single blaster bolt between their eyes. When he had finished he surveyed the scene of destruction. These aruetiise had deserved the carnage wrought upon them, though the Mandalorian assassin had escaped. With no witnesses it would take some time for the Agamarian police to piece together just what had happened here, though eventually they would figure it out. They had enough professionalism for that at least, Taab had to give them that. So it was that his time with the Agamarian Milita was at an end, Time to get off world, he thought to himself as he made his way towards the space port, softly humming a tuneless song

Orgo Rosos answered the buyer's questions one by one as they made their way to the through a series of underground tunnels to the arena.

"Do these updated models maintain themselves or will they require a full time mech to keep them operating smoothly?" A good question, and one that spoke to this Mandalorian's understanding of the logistical questions that came with operating an army of mechanicals. Excellent, that meant he must at least be considering a large purchase for his House. The demonstration, Rosos was sure, would cement the sale.

"The droids are able to operate independently for a time," Rosos began as they sat down on a small speeder that would make their journey through the tunnels a quick one. "That time is dependent on many environmental factors. Heat, cold, vacuum or atmosphere, humidity levels and so forth. All can affect the time needed before necessary equipment checks. The droids are able to peform some basic self diagnostics, though of course a full logistical support team is better suited for such a task." The speeder, piloted by a blue tabbed pilot droid of the B1 series, sped off through the dark tunnels. "We do offer such services, at a price of course, though the details can be worked out after a purchase order has been secured." That seemed to mollify the buyers for now and the rest of the journey was made in silence, Rosos unaware of the elevated tension levels between the Mandalorian trio.

"Ah, here we are." The Neimoidian announced as the speeder came to a halt. "Zolrin Fourd, if you would make your way to the central arena," he pointed down the proper hallway as a platoon of B-1 droids marched past, rifles at the ready followed by a pair of droidekas rolling in the same direction. He then gestured to the two others. "And if you would follow me, we can watch the proceeding from the main balcony."

"Lead the way." I say casually, placing my hands behind my back as I halted in my steps. I frowned slightly, but watched as the Droideka roll past. "That seems more efficient then walking." I need to step away for a moment, I hope that I won't disrupt anything. "I need to make a quick call, please excuse me. This is very important. And I hope that when I come back I will see something that impresses me."

As I step away into an enclosed corner of the hall, away from prying eyes; I press a button on my wrist communicator, trying to reach home. I didn't want to be hasty, and I needed to know just what kind of droids we would need. I needed to contact my family. Hopefully they have a minute to spare. Everything is so rushed lately.

The speeder ride to the arena was quiet. After their initial exchange in the war room, Shuk'la kept to himself. He was playing his part, which was easy considering he was actually hoping to buy some droids for his own personal use. They could provide good simulation practice at my compound, he thought. That, and he would be able to personally explore the weaknesses of these units. If any of the other houses were to make a large purchase, he would need the intel on how to best put them down using the least amount of fire. Shuk'la lived for killing two birds with one stone. It was the style he derived from his growing up in his clan, Calculated Killers, and was the only thing he really had in common with most of them anymore. He even had a tattoo of two birds being killed by one stone on his back.

Speaking of two birds...he continued to think quietly as they arrived. "Ah, here we are." The Neimoidian announced as the speeder came to a halt. "Zolrin Fourd, if you would make your way to the central arena," . Shuk'la checked his comm channel for any outstanding messages. Nothing from Kyr'am. Blasted greenhorn, he better have a sitrep ready for me soon or I'll have him grounded to garrison duty for the next two cycles! The Neimoidian then gestured for Asha and himself to follow, "And if you would follow me, we can watch the proceeding from the main balcony."

"Lead the way." Asha spoke up as they tailed the grey-skin. "Right behind you," Shuk'la answered the beckoning.

"I need to make a quick call, please excuse me. This is very important. And I hope that when I come back I will see something that impresses me." Shuk'la squinted one eye beneath his buy'ce in skepticism. What was she up to? He didn't believe that she needed to make a call, but it didn't matter. The demonstration was about to begin with Zolrin at center stage.

"Break a leg," Shuk'la called out to the Contractor.
