FF:NSW New Movies thread!!

Went and saw Ant-Man and The Wasp with my son, who I am introducing to the MCU at the moment. Really enjoyed it, more action and funnier than the first the interplay between the three leads is really good and I love the ending. The MCU loves to leave us hanging!

 

That was a fun film. Definitely agree that it is better than the first one and I think the Wasp pretty awesome too.

Agreed about the mid credits ending and we'll see how things go when we get Captain Marvel and the next Avengers early next year.

 

I saw Mammia Mia: Here We Go Again. That was fun and I thought the cast was great and the island location looks amazing. There was an element that felt a bit heavy handed and probably would have been a bit better if they eased up on that or done it differently but overall, I though the film was great.

 

Oh yeah? I've heard of it, but have no idea what it's about

 

The films are fun and the island location is amazing.

It is set ten years after the first Mamma Mia film (about a girl who is trying to find her dad for her wedding). The structure of the second one is similar to The Godfather Part II in the sense it is both a sequel and a prequel with two intercutting story lines…. and both feature the songs of ABBA.

 

Watched Kingsman: The Golden Circle the other night, really enjoyed it not as much as the first but still fun.

Waiting to see Deadpool 2 once it comes out this week, never got the chance to see it at the cinema.

Wife and I are finally making our way to the end of our MCU marathon. Only got Thor 3 and Infinity War to go. Then I'll have to wait for Ant-Man 2 to come out on Blu-Ray and see Captain Marvel in cinemas.

Who saw the trailer for it yesterday? This could be a top 3 MCU movie for me, looks awesome

This year though, I'd like to see;

First Man and Fantastic Beasts 2. I missed MI: Fallout in cinemas by a week

 

I watched the trailer for Fantastic Beasts 2 - looked heaps good. Definitely wanna see it!

 

Saw the shorts for Crazy Rich Asians - sounds interesting, not sure if I'll see it soon though

 

I've seen Crazy Rich Asians twice… it is a lot of fun and recommend checking out if you get a chance.

 

I saw a few films...

Ladies in Black was good and not too heavy. It was nice to see how they portrayed Sydney in the 50s

Had a lot of fun with Johnny English Strikes Again, it was clever and great to see the character again.

A Star Is Born was amazing with the performances from the cast and not to mention the music.

 

Is anyone else looking forward to when Crimes of Grindelwald comes out? I think it comes out mid November

 

Sure am, my wife more than myself though. 15th November is comes out.

 

I haven't seen the first one before. Was it good?

 

I'm not much of a HP fan but I enjoyed it.

 

Yeah, I liked it, liked it better than the other HP movies I've seen actually

 

Hmm… I'll see if I can check it out before the new one comes out.

 

@Corellian_Outrider, have you seen any of the other Harry Potter movies?

 

I've seen the 8 films a long time ago but haven't read the books.

 

I finally ended up watching Crimes Of Grindelwald and really enjoyed it.

 

I enjoyed it also. A lot better than the first, loved how dark it was

 

Captain Marvel was enjoyable, definitely one of the better Marvel movies. Look forwarding to owning it and seeing the special features.

 

Captain Marvel is okay i think. I dislike the cat at the end though

 

I saw Everybody Knows, which is a thriller with Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem. That was great.

I have yet to see Captain Marvel. I probably should see it before the Endgame comes out. Also keen to see the King of Thieves.

Speaking of thieves… did you happen to see this trailer starring a certain street rat?
