ST Episode IX Story Discussion

I thought it was confirmed that the marketplace is where the cross paths with the big doofy alien that's probably voiced by Matt Smith.

 

The big, doofy alien (Klaud) is on the Jungle planet that is at the start of the movie and maybe returned to later in the movie. A rumour has Matt Smith playing some Dark Side acolyte.

As for the marketplace - two possibilities I see;

The gathering place on the desert planet. There are tent-like structures that could be stalls there. I think it's more a religious festival though and the stalls are there just to provide the traveller's refreshment.

The Mountainous snow planet. The town atop the mountains could well be a mining outpost, it's thought that the droid factory (repair shop) could be here as well. Don't know where the fish would fit in though....

This is just how TROS is going to connect with Masters of the Universe..err..Universe. That's the trilogy that RJ is going to head and it'll be connected to D&D's KOTOR trilogy.

Then the big question is, why were they separated?

 

Kylo dramatically flying low to the ground on the desert planet and having his TIE Fighter blown up by Rey when she swats him out of the air while doing a back flip is going to be the Star Wars equivalent to when Batman, (in the first Tim Burton Batman movie) got in his Bat plane for two seconds flew up in the air and then promptly crashed. It's going be all, "YES! This looks so bad ass! I AM PUMPED aaaaaannnnd...he totally just belly flopped! What was the point of that? HA!"

 

So now with the red Stormtroopers, red TIE fighters and a red Star Destroyer, along with an Allegiant General, will there be a First Order civil war? With the red variations used to distinguish who's following Kylo Ren and who's following Hux.

I can only hope that means we’ll see Booster Terrik, though he would never be with the FO

 

Kylo: Make all my ships and troops red.

Soldier 1: Did he say “Ren” or “red”?

Soldier 2: I thought he said “red” but now that you mention it all I can hear is “Ren”.

Soldier 1: Should we ask him to clarify?

Soldier 2: Dude are you crazy? I’d rather follow Hux than question Kylo.

Soldier 2: Same.

And that’s how the FO civil war began.
