The Vintage Collection Returns Spring 2017

I just scored the Sith Trooper and the Jawa, but I can't find the Shadow Trooper anywhere.

 

The TVC Mando is quite well made IMO and displays well.

 

Managed to find many VC on clearance last week. Great figures, had some extra KOR and Sith Troopers that I gave one to my son for SW day yesterday. He was so happy. Now I get to help "play" with the figures as well, win win!

Still no sign of the Mando wave. Seen it once as I was too late and just was left with the Remnant trooper and Clone. Need that Mandalorian and Cara Dune!!

So the buzz is the VC will introduce a new playset anyway similar to dropping the Imperial Transport out of the blue. It's believed to be the Carbon Freeze Chamber of Cloud City! New, expanded capabilities. What do you think? I think it's all about price and also it would help if they make more figures. There is a petition to sign for this. I still haven't seen the Mando wave since early May.

Not sure if anyone else watched the Hasbro livestream they did today, but we’re getting a few new Vintage Collection additions:

• Chirrut Îmwe (available Fall 2020)
  
• Bespin Leia (available 2021)
• Carbon Freezing Chamber Playset with Stormtrooper

I’m STOKED about the Bespin Leia because it’s a long overdue figure, and the Carbon Freezing Chamber looks really beautiful, too. It looks like you have to buy two of the playsets to make up one complete Carbon Freezing Chamber, though. The fan response wasn’t overly enthusiastic because Hasbro hyped up the livestream for Vintage Collection fans and then only unveiled three new offerings.

They also alluded to working on another 3.75” HasLab project like the Sail Barge, with details coming in August or September.

Excited to see the Leia, is it the red pantsuit or the white jumpsuit?

Haslab - my money is on an Imperial Star Destroyer or Death Star Playset.

 

I’m REALLY excited for the Leia, too! It’s the white jumpsuit, which is great because it’s SO long overdue. They haven’t created the figure yet, but they have a digital mockup of what it will look like, which you can see here:

I could see the Star Destroyer or Death Star playset, for sure! The Death Star playset would be really cool. If I could afford them and/or had the room for them, I’d totally buy them. It’ll be interesting to see what they announce!

I'm liking the new Freezing Chamber playset. I know it's incomplete for the money, but just the overall detail will enhance a diorama or display. Look forward to the Stormtrooper and Leia. Here's hoping more cool 3.75 is ready for launch. I predict Haslab to do a ship like Tantive IV or Star Destroyer. If it's a Death Star, I'll have to find room next to my vintage one which has the trash compactor-POTF2 hall and swinging playsets.
