    The Sarlacc

The original one, before they went and ruined it with that beak. That thing is one of my favourite species of the OT, it is just so Lovecraftian, so bizarre a concept. I know that we only see one, but that's the one I would have to go with.

I've always had a thing for Twi'leks. The scene in Jabba's palace where he uses the trap door against a dancer who displeased him was very haunting.

Well, obviously as a kid I was very afraid of the Skeksis... no, wait, haha... in Star Wars, I was pretty obsessed by the Gamorreans, Bib Fortuna and Tessek. Grans, Rodians and, well, Ithorians were also very intriguing to me, but honestly, the variety, imagination and realism behind the alien races in Star Wars was without a doubt one of the first things about it that appealed me greatly!

Does that space toad creature thing that sits outside Jabba’s palace have a name? I’ve always liked that scene. There is something very wholesome about his contented belch. Despite all the galactic mayhem that dude doesn’t have a care in the world.

My favorite is the dianoga from the trash compactor in the Death Star. Running a close second is Salacious Crumb.

Would a droid be considered a species?

While species is normally associated with biological organisms, it not necessary the case. From Websters:

    Species:
a class of individuals having common attributes and designated by a common name specifically : a logical division of a genus or more comprehensive class confessing sins in species and in number

Twi'leks always had an interesting look.

    Love Salacious B Crumb.

And of course, Yoda. Even after 40+ years, we still know next to nothing about his mysterious species.

I loved the design of Bib Fortuna from Jedi, so I'd go with Twi'leks.

This design of the Sarlaac is fascinating. A great idea IMO.

Gamorreans for me. I've always found pigs cute, but I love bacon. There's something there.

The Rancor beast also loves (green) bacon.

Always loved the look of the Gammorean Guards. Their classic design makes for excellent action figures. I still believe the Kenner toy is one of the best in the vintage 1977 - 85 action figures line.

Owned two back in the day.
