Coming off of the strangest and most desolate year for the film industry in recent memory, it's now time for Wattos season!

Hooray! The return of the Wattos is just what this year needs! Can't wait for all of the absurdity and cuteness that is sure to follow--to say nothing of the competitive vote wrangling and complex dissections of each ridiculous nominee!

Sea Life? See Life!

As an excuse to make this last far longer than anyone would want, we'll be having three rounds, quarter finals, semi finals and a final, each lasting a week. You'll be given eight gifs, each paired up. You can vote for one out of each pair, with the winner going to the next round. So exactly what you'd expect, really. In the event of any ties, I'll cast the winning vote. And as tradition dictates, backstabbing and lobbying are encouraged.

It seems like Watto can get people into trouble. I did like when a bunch of Wattos showed up in the first episode of Clone Wars Season 1.

 

It’s like naming your kids. You toy around with names for a while, but when you come up with the right one you realise it was always the name.

 

I’m noticing some severe penguin bias from the selection committee.

 

You have no idea how desperately uninteresting sealife gifs are until Watto asks you to search for them.
