I have become a shill for Disney. Someone recently started selling a novel that was cancelled decades ago on Amazon. It was recently removed either by Disney or Amazon. Some people are mad and saying “Disney is attacking the little guy” no Disney is protecting their IP. People should never be able to make money off an existing IP unless they are adding their own spin on it like commentary and parody.

Yes right now copyright lasts far to long. It should last 50-70 years. Not 90. But this book falls under that so I don’t really care. People should never be able to make money off of existing copyrighted IP. And again it’s not like this was a fan novel. This was a novel Lucasfilm had made back in like the 1990s. This guy is literally stealing their work and selling it mind you at cost but still selling it. I don’t think this should be allowed.

If that makes me a shill I’ll gladly wear that badge
