ea sports announced a few weeks back that they'd reacquired the pga rights from 2k, who just launched their first "real" pga game this year.

they've now announced a reacquisition of the rights for augusta national, and the masters tournament. remember the 2012 game so well, when augusta was playable for the first time.



i do hope ea allows the pros to be playable - one huge drawback on the 2k and tgc games has been only being able to play as your created character against the pros.

 

Well two of those three turned out to be a Heels level bad bet.

 

Note to self: if I ever find myself in the final round of The Masters, up four with four to play, I don't need to go for the green in two.

Semi-exciting ending though, given the way things were an hour before.

 

i may have a day pass for next saturday, pga championship at kiawah. my boss just told me he has an extra ticket, and nobody to go with.

would be pretty awesome, my first time attending a pro golf event.

i was just hoping he'd make the cut, so i'd get to see him play tomorrow.

 

phil just dropped a 25 foot birdie putt on 18. second place, -5 to finish the day.

and he has a 5 stroke lead at -10 through the front nine

for my next trick, i must determine how to use this power to win drafts

 

I would say right now Phil has a better chance of breaking Nicklaus's major record then Tiger.

 

of course now that I've left the grounds, his round is going to hell. cmon phil.

 

and no joke, he's in better shape at 50 than he was at 30. much, much better shape. if he finds something in his game, he can play with these guys for years.

It's that coffee he's drinking all the time that's doing it for him.

 

rough round so far for brooks. louis can duel with phil to the finish, should be a good back nine.

He's still drilling 366 yard drives. Age is doing well for Phil.

I will say, Koepka didn't seem too thrilled about that mob on 18.

most of the crowd i was among was drunk as hell by noon yesterday, i can't imagine what they had to deal with today. lots of security though, and still a no-interaction policy bc covid.

 

Yeah, I gotta imagine the PGA of America will be hearing about that.
