I'm generally a fan of pine trees, there's a lot of them here to shade and shelter the cabin, but they also overhang the driveway and drip sap onto my car. It takes some serious elbow grease and bug & tar remover to get it off. Still, I think I can find it in my heart to forgive them; after all, they're just trees.

What minor inconveniences irk you?

 

Depends on the day. During the work-week I'd prefer the late afternoons when I can unwind and relax, but on the weekends it's closer to mid-day/late morning when I can get things done on my own.

How often do you take Paid Time Off/vacation from work?

 

Fencing. I used to fly in Iraq with a loadmaster who was on the US Olympic epee team a few years earlier. We sparred with rubber knives, he was pretty quick.
Aerobatic flying was a demonstration sport at the 1936 games in Berlin; I'd happily do that too.

Do you prefer team sports or individual sports?

 

Team sports, both playing and watching.


I don’t want my victories to come at the expense of my teammates, and teamwork makes the dream work.


What was the last physical activity you got, of any kind?

 

Walking! 11,000 steps each day. Didn't do it over the weekend, but I think that's the first time in a month.

Who shot first?

 

Not right now, but that could change.

Do you like it when it rains?

 

Pepsi is for wussies who can't handle Coke. I don't do the diet stuff because I'm old enough to remember when they discovered that artificial sweetener caused cancer in lab rats. I'd rather take my chances with plain old sugar than saccharin/aspartame or whatever the latest chemical brew is.

What do you think is the worst danger in modern living?

Do you like studying history?

 

In the winter months, 2 or 3. It's summer here now, so 1 or just a sheet, and not even that if it's hot and humid.

How much do you hate alarm clocks?

 

Not a card or present. But there have been events that do that. I'm very pragmatic about funerals. Everyone has to die sometime. But seeing my Jewish relatives do the prayer for my grandmother at her funeral... that just broke me down.

What's the strangest thing about you?

 

No but I loved to eat it as a child

What was the stupidest thing you did when you were a kid?

 

Plenty of embarrasing things. Though I think breaking my front tooth by trying to ride my bike and turn with no hands tops the list.
