So I was unclear but were they implying Bix is force sensitive? She said she felt the force healer and she had felt it (which I assume is the force or force users) before.

I was wondering that too. I, mostly, hope not. Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn, and Sabine Wren were all solid characters before becoming Force sensitive/Jedi.

But if Bix is very minimally sensitive, then I guess it adds a bit more variety to the GFFA, and is a "positive sign" that things are changing in the galaxy and/or (no pun intended) that the Force was never really gone, even if Vader (and the Inquisitors) hunted down all those with the strongest connections.

Yes I think this is established quite well, they are too weak to be jedi or sith but are more sensitive to Force-related phenomena without being really having superpowers.

I think the Force-healer character was sort of nice touch. Andor's reaction to her was good, in real world I would also stay pretty far away from those characters lol (spiritual healers and such), but in SW we know it really works. While in the real world... well we cannot be sure but I am the boring skeptic here while I also remain somewhat open-minded if ever given proof otherwise.

In Sw we also know there are fake jedi and all sorts of tricksters, witch cults up to no good etc. so it is best to be skeptical as well.

It felt right for the tone of this show. Of course Cassian would be skeptical of the Force. When he and Bix were talking about the Force I was thinking, "is this working for me" and ultimately yes, I think they stuck the landing. Whether it's the Force or not, I think it's reasonable for Bix to feel like Cassian has an important role to play in the rebellion and having the Force healer bringing the topic up was a nice touch.

This was another clear "setting the table" episode for the next arc, but it also contained two of my favorite scenes of the entire season so far.

Kicking things off with Yavin was a bit surprising, as I expected it not to reappear until the final arc of the season, but it worked for me. It was nice to see both Cassian and Bix in a seemingly more emotionally stable state. Wilmon's arrival, on the other hand, was completely unexpected. Given where we left him in the fifth episode, I thought he was in Saw's clutches for good, but now we see him coming to speak on behalf of Luthen. And further, he seems no worse for wear after his seemingly transformative with Gerrera. I was willing to go with it (partially because I'm not quite as invested in Wilmon), but I think this is an example where the yearly time jumps hinder the season from giving every character a full arc. I was also missing seeing Luthen (and Kleya!) in this episode, but it's understandable that their absence demonstrated their growing rift from the rebels on Yavin.

Syril's verbal confrontation with Dedra on Ghorman was terrific. Just really elite character writing here, as its clear that Karn has become increasingly uneasy about the escalation of Imperial presence and violence, and Meero's insistence that things will work out for the two of them. What made the scene so palpably fraught was that it was clear that Dedra did indeed have genuine feelings for Syril, even though she had heavily manipulated him to this point. I assumed she would dispose of him eventually, but this scene made it clear she had no such intention.

Seeing a Force healer on Yavin initially felt completely out of nowhere, given that any focus on the Force has been absent from this series. But I realized it was a really great way to help transition into Rogue One and the OT when the phrase, "May the Force be with you" is used quite frequently. I thought the conversations between Cassian, Bix and the Force healer were really beautifully written and insightful to all their points of view. It helped provide the series with a new spiritual dimension.

Cassian's departure for Ghorman and leaving Bix behind, however, didn't sit right with me, given how sidelined she's been for most of the season. I did like his newly contextualized chat with the attendant on Ghorman before prepping that night. Yet another Andor episode that basically stops, rather than concludes.

    7/10

Who also wears a splash of red, like those on Jedha. I like how the Andor series is maintaining those threads (pun intended) from Rogue One.

While things are broken up into episodes it's best to view the episodes within each arc as Act 1, 2, 3 instead.

Who was this force healer? She doesn’t seem like an ex-Jedi. Just some religious lady traveling around, I guess?

Maybe she is Barriss' pupils. She was force healer according to Tales of the Empire. And since force healing makes one lose one's own life energy she may be younger than she looks.

Then of course she may be independent or member of Church of the Force or other cult.

I could see her being someone who may have been tested but was rejected by the Order for not being strong enough with the Force. It's something that must happen with an Order who is concerned with midi-levels when testing and such. There must be those who are rejected but still have some kind of low level force connection.

I also like the idea of other kinds of force-centric powers.

She also seems like someone who barely understands the power or how to use it. Meaning she's untrained and learned on how own. She says most of the time it doesn't even work.

I loved the first shots of this episode, showing that the Rebellion is becoming larger and more regimented. The arrival of the new recruits was perfect; it felt just like arriving at a forward base in the Persian Gulf region. It had me ready to grab my duffel bags and find a cot in tent city.

One little detail that still takes me out the moment is the red troop seats in the U-wing. Those are exactly the same as we had in the back of the C-130, pure 100% US military surplus gear.

I don't think she was ever tested by the Jedi and I base that on the fact that she doesn't mention "The Force." I think someone who had been tested but wasn't qualified based on M-count, or did qualify but never became a padawan or some similar kind of a dropout with a low-level force-connection would still talk about the Force but she doesn't. There's also the fact that she's practicing whatever it is that she's practicing out in the open and hasn't been killed or imprisoned by the Empire. I like to think that she does have some low-level force connection and she regards herself as a "spiritual being" for lack of a better phrase, or a "mystic" who doesn't quite understand her powers yet can perform certain force techniques like mild-healing and the ability to get a general "read" on people, but cannot do some of the more advanced force techniques like telekinesis or precognition, you know, things that would probably draw the attention of Inquisitors.

Maybe you're right. II'm not going to draw a line in the sand over this lol.

But ... Bix and Cass both refer to her a a Force Healer. So just because she,. herself, doesn't mention that word on screen doesn't really mean anything really. She could have been using that word four minutes earlier when calling everyone up to get Force Healed. Being untrained maybe she's found other words for it, or simply doesn't go around to every 'patient' saying that specific word. Like you said, she may just think of herself in some other spiritual sense.

And..ket's be honest here, f she were young enough her memories might be lacking on this issue. Those sneaky blood taking-stealing-testing Jedi could have told her jack about what they were after. If she had tested high enough, maybe then they' would have mentioned the force, and the Jedi, and all that 'sign here' please official business. It could just as likely be that her parents had her tested, while she was very young, and told her nothing about it.

I mean...how much did we see of this in the Acolyte? And that was with a Jedi who actually cared about those being tested. The test could have seemed like a harmless game to the young Force healer and nothing else.

Anyways. There's no one right answer. Its a mystery. With open interpretation.

A really chilling setup. Perhaps the most emotional I have gotten during the whole show was when the Ghorman Senator thanked Mon for her support as he prepared himself for the erasure of his people. You’d have to be blind not to see the real world parallels, and feel that we just haven’t done enough to prevent genocide. Indeed, we’ve continued to enable it. And we just didn’t have enough brave leaders to push against that. We need more Mons in the world. Loved the force healer as well. Both spiritually satisfying and ominous. Great episode. I have difficulty separating it from episode 8, so I’ll put them together and rank them both a 20/10.

An interesting episode set a year later from the last. So we learn the Ghorman resistance have continued sabotaging and bombing campaigns against the Empire's incursion. All the while this has been going on, I'm curious as to what Saw's role is in this. Was his band of rebels supplying the Ghormans behind the scenes? Deedra's got a target on her back. It's interesting how that was suggested in a scene shortly after she gave an intimate kiss to Syril. And speaking of which, I'm still unsure about his angle 7 episodes in. It seems as though he does care about the Ghorman people when it's suggested what the Empire has in store. But then on the other end he was hoping to get more info to seemingly boost his favor with the Empire. It's interesting how they're introducing a Force Healer on Yavin. That certainly wasn't canon/suggested about in ANH or even R1. And on Yavin, Cassian and Bix are with the larger group of rebels, and it seems like they're pushing for him to be some sort of leader/Messiah figure. I know it's his show, but in the grand scheme of things, he shares the spotlight with Jyn in R1. Just one more note that I assume was meant to be more of an Easter Egg than anything else; that call up in the hotel about the Alderaan's group shuttle being cancelled. Maybe that would turn out to be lucky for them?

    7 out of 10.

Some good scenes and character moments, but overall felt like largely a filler episode.

Kind of feel like we don't need 12 episodes in the season, and we are getting some weird pacing as they try to spread the narrative arc over the 12 episodes.

    I gave this an 8/10.

It's a little strange each arc taking place a year later since things are discussed that happened offscreen, but I can go with it.

It seems Dedra is acting colder as opposed to Syril. He seems almost as if he's questioning the Empire. It seems as if they've gone all out on calling the rebels terrorists, and while I don't think this is the issue at hand with him, something seems different.

That scene on Yavin 4 was cool, but it still seems like the rebellion is decentralized, which we of course all know it is. I do though often find myself wondering where are we in regards to other shows, i.e. Rebels. I did like seeing the person who was Force-sensitive as well to give a hint of Rogue One.

I think Mon is trying the best she can to be a senator but you can see the wheels coming off the cart in multiple ways. I figure the series will end with the speech we hear give in Rebels and that'll be the shot in the arm to make the rebels more cohesive. Well except for Saw's Partisans.
