ST ‘Star Wars’ RUMORS: Gwendoline Christie To Return In Episode VIII

Watch out for more Captain Phasma in the next "Star Wars" film. Gwendoline Christie will reprise her role as the commander of the First Order's stormtroopers.Captain Phasma was originally conceived as a male, only changing to female three weeks before filming began on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Christie also appreciated the costume designers not softening Phasma's armor to look more feminine.The Phasma character changed the perception of modern toy sales based on female characters. The best-selling "Force Awakens" action was Captain Phasma on Amazon in the U.K.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" will premiere on Dec. 15, 2017.
