Greetings loyalists of the Dark Side; we of the Sith Empire
bid you welcome. If you venture past this post within
this thread, you do so of your own accord.
This thread is dedicated to all in the Star Wars universe
who feel the pull of the darkness, and whom oppose all that
the light side stands for, and has to offer. Within this thread
you will be treated to the many unnatural abilities of the
Dark Side, as well as intelligent discussion about various topics
pertaining to the ways of the Sith, Dark Jedi, Inquisitors,
Knights of Ren and overall Dark Side of the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
If one wishes to become a member of this order, one must be
a supporter of the darkness, and an opponent of the light.
If anyone treads within this thread, and dishonors the teachings
of the Sith, they will be decapitated, and their head will serve
as a warning to all who dare oppose the power of the Dark Side.
Members of the Sith Empire are lawful, ordered
individuals. They do not succumb to the temptations of
many lesser evil individuals, such as the need for petty
vengeance, in-the-dark assassinations, or greed. Duty
and loyalty in the name of the Sith Empire are paramount
to everything for a Sith Lord. Underhanded subversive
tactics are frowned upon greatly, and punished with no
less than expulsion. However, there is an exception to
such deviousness--if it is done in the best interests of
the glorious Sith Empire. Unlike the Jedi, we Sith know
when to put our pride behind us for the greater good.
The keys to victory are to be found in the Code of the Sith:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
    Through passion, I gain strength.
    Through strength, I gain power.
    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall set me free.
To gain admittance into the order you must first post:
~I give in to the power of the Dark Side~
Then you will be added to the list of hopefuls as a Sith Peon
until you meet the requirements of two weeks active
posting of three or more posts per week. If you already meet
those requirements you remain as a Sith Peon for a
short time to make sure that you actually have an interest
in our thread; if you are sponsored in by an existing
member you may be able to skip Peon status.
    ~Sith Triumvirate~
The Dark Lords of the Sith comprise the leadership of the Sith Empire. The Shadow Hand handles internal administration of the order, the Night Herald acts as political representative and recruiter, and the Sith Emperor acts as spiritual figurehead and first among equals.
    Darth Dreadwar: Sith Emperor
    Darth_wanderguard (Darth Haretisch): Shadow Hand
    Sinrebirth (Darth Insipid): Night Herald
    ~Shadow Council - the Sith Underlords~
An honorary title bestowed only upon the most revered Sith of days past, this Dark Tribunal aids and advises the Dark Lords, sharing wisdom and guidance in times of difficulty.

    ~Sith Masters~
Upon passing a final trial, an apprentice becomes a full-fledged Sith Master, and advances to one of three prestige classes. Apprentice Sorcerers may become either Inquisitors or Arcanists. Inquisitors act as the interrogators and priests of the Order, with supreme elemental power over the Force. Arcanists act as scribes, scientists and scholars; their understanding of Sith lore, sorcery and alchemy is unrivaled. Apprentice Warriors become Marauders or Knights. Marauders are the bloodthirsty iron fist of the Sith, without equal in martial might. Knights comprise the honorable backbone of the Empire, leading their fellow Sith into battle and inspiring them to acts of greatness. Apprentice Assassins become Stalkers or Watchers. More versatile than their peers, Stalkers are experts at stealth and subterfuge, mastering the Force, the lightsaber and conventional weapons. Watchers are infiltrators hiding in plain sight, experts at attaining their goals through unmatched subtlety and cunning.
    Lady_Viscretus (Darth Viscretus)
    Darth Master Titus (Darth Titus)
    E. L.Knight (Darth Hades)
    ~Sith Apprentices~
Upon being taken as an apprentice, a peon may become a Sith Sorcerer, Warrior, or Assassin. Sorcerers concern themselves primarily with academic study of the force and understanding its properties, as well as studying and chronicling the history of the Sith. Warriors train primarily in the arts of combat, both with a lightsaber, attack and defense-oriented force powers, and the tactics and strategy of battle. Assassins seek to learn the art of stealth and espionage, and they train in many non-Force related skills in order to be more versatile and adept at working in secret.

    Rules of the Sith Academy

    1. You will not post within the Guardian of Lights thread without permission. The full list of rules regarding the Guardians of Light is detailed below in the section entitled "On RP dueling and verbal encounters."
    2. Role playing games will not be tolerated by the Masters. If you wish to role play, there is a perfect community here on the Jedi Council Forums called the Role Playing Forum, locatedhere. Or, use the off-site boards, when that is available. Dueling may also be done via PM if both parties wish to do so.
    3. No flaming, spamming, or trolling in this or any other threads. Refer to the TOS for any questions.
    4. Obey your superiors. The list of ranking is provided above. If you are a Peon, you will obey all those above you, including apprentices. If you are an apprentice, you have powers over Peons, but that is it. You must be obedient to Masters - Inquisitors, Arcanists, Marauders, Knights, Stalkers and Watchers all. Masters have powers over apprentices, and are the highest conventional ranking within the group.
    5. All members must be respectful towards the Masters and their wisdom, but that is not to say that questions or suggestions cannot be made. In any case, the Sith Triumvirate has the final decision in all matters.
    6. Everyone, including masters and the Shadow Council, must obey the word of the leader of the group, the Sith Emperor. Said member is the highest ranking member of the Order, and leads the faction.
    7. If a moderator posts in this thread, be respectful to them. If they edit one of your posts, and you do not agree, do not be disrespectful, and do not take it up with them in-thread. If you have a problem, send them a Private Message and take care of the situation there. Or, you may send a Master or a Dark Lord a PM with the complaint and they will handle it. Most likely, the moderators will be right.
    Training Guidelines:

Upon being approved for membership within the Sith Empire, a Peon hopeful must locate the latest iteration of the membership Roster and add their name to it. They must demonstrate commitment to the Order by posting frequently, contributing to discussion, and perpetuating an overall positive atmosphere within the group. Thereafter, a Master may take the Peon as an apprentice. Once the apprenticeship is underway, the apprentice is expected, just as before, to post frequently, and contribute to discussion.

They must also standardise their signature, in order for easy recordkeeping, as well as to promote our glorious Empire. The easiest way to do this is copy and paste my signature below, making sure to keep it center-aligned, with a link to this thread.

They will also be required to complete at least nine tasks, or Trials. These tasks will usually consist of a written dialog on a particular subject requested specifically by the master. However, this is not the only definition of a task, and masters are encouraged to be creative in the training process. They do not have to follow the exact list, but can use the optional tasks as a guide. Tasks may include lightsaber design, character sheet creation, essays, role-playing lightsaber duels, and more.

All tasks must be entered, in some form or another, in a training log, and awarded Prestige Points by the master. Tasks may be awarded 1-5 points based on quality, and difficulty. A master-student relationship is not restricted to tasks. Masters are expected to be generally helpful to their students on the Boards, providing them with whatever wisdom and information they can.

An apprenticeship must last a minimum of two months. If, in that time, the apprentice has met the required criterion of 50 Prestige Points, they may be promoted. When a master feels that his or her student is ready for promotion, the master may submit their apprentice to the Shadow Hand for promotion. The Shadow Hand will then give the apprentice one final, very difficult task, and then may choose to promote the apprentice in a grand ceremony, or return them to their master for further training.

    Optional tasks:

(Majority of the tasks to be done in essay, discussion or RPG form.)

    1. Why do you choose to be a Sith?
    2. Sith and Jedi Code – Describe each and compare the differences.
    3. Who is your favorite Sith? Give a bio including name, homeworld and era.
    4. Name three Sith ruled worlds – Give brief description of each world and the events that happened.
    5. Sith Rule of Power Structure – Name them and describe strengths and weaknesses of each.
    6. The Darkside Compendium – Who wrote it? Of what does it consist? Give a description.
    7. Explain the differences between Dark Jedi and Sith.
    8. Name three wars involving the Sith. Give a brief description of each.
    9. What do you believe are the goals of the Sith and what would you do to achieve them?

    Grievances:

If you have observed something that bothers you about a fellow Sith and their conduct you are required to quietly pull them aside (send a PM) and state your concern. Favorably this would be the end of it as I would hope both parties could negotiate a resolution that is beneficial to the Sith Empire. If the above method does not work you are then required to bring the matter to a Dark Lord's attention (Sith Emperor, Shadow Hand, or Night Herald). The triumvir will act as a mediator in this matter. If the matter is not resolved then a moderator will be involved and make the final decision. These rules are expected to be followed at all times.

On RP dueling and other verbal encounters:

    In our Threads:

If encountering a Jedi Knight in any of the Sith threads, this is what is required: Greet them, in a respectful manner. Find out their intentions, inform them they are not normally welcome in our thread, and politely ask them to leave for no Jedi is allowed in the Sith thread.

Nor is a Sith able to go in to the Jedi thread. If they properly follow their code, expect them to challenge an "evil" Sith outright in a verbal debate or a RP duel; allow them to challenge if they remain civil. If they insult you take it to private messages and teach them the meaning of manners and respect. If they tell you to find someone worth their time, direct them to a Moderator immediately. This is not only an insult to you, it is an insult to the entire Sith Empire, for in our eyes all Sith and even Peon hopefuls are worthy of their titles.

    In neutral threads:

If encountering a Jedi Knight in a neutral thread, you are still required to greet them and parlay; you do not have to debate them, but it is encouraged that you do in a respectful manner. If you do not trust their intentions, do not feel bad about doubting them, they are infidels after all.

    In any thread:

If a duel has been decided upon, keeping in mind it is done in the proper forum (RPF) and that you may never turn down a duel, you must show honor in battle as with what you say to the Jedi Knights as well. State the rules clearly before the duel commences, if this takes thirty minutes, so be it. These rules need to be clearly defined, as there will never be a re-issue of challenge. There is no honor in not abiding by the rules and arguing over it when it is complete. When a duel is over and you have been victorious, it is courteous and expected for you to not gloat over your fallen opponent. A Sith will show respect for his/her opponent. If you were the one to fall, you then will congratulate the Jedi Knight on their victory and show honor, you will not argue in or out of character about the duel. If you have an issue in the duel conduct you shall take it to a Master or the Sith Triumvirate, where it will be dealt with accordingly.

    Quotes:
“That man never really dies who knows how to assume sufficient empire over others to be able to trace lasting marks of his energy and power over the minds of those who, under his influence, bend their steps toward the highest.” – Yoritomo-Tashi
“Why fear to reanimate all the possibilities that lie dormant in our natures? Is it not desirable to cultivate all plants indiscriminately? There are those that are poisonous, true, yet even these are indispensable in the practice of medicine. Large doses of certain drugs cause death; but, administered wisely with the hand of a skilful physician, they bring relief and very often a complete cure. The same may be said of many forces that are evil only because they are not disciplined.” – Yoritomo-Tashi
“The weak have no place here, in this life or in any other life. Weakness leads to slavery. Weakness leads to all kinds of misery, physical and mental. Weakness is death. There are hundreds of thousands of microbes surrounding us, but they cannot harm us unless we become weak, until the body is ready and predisposed to receive them. There may be a million microbes of misery, floating about us. Never mind! They dare not approach us, they have no power to get a hold on us, until the mind is weakened. This is the great fact: strength is life, weakness is death. Strength is felicity, life eternal, immortal; weakness is constant strain and misery: weakness is death.” – Swami Vivekananda
"Most people live, whether physically, intellectually or morally, in a very restricted circle of their potential being. They make use of a very small portion of their possible consciousness, and of their soul's resources in general, much like a man who, out of his whole bodily organism, should get into a habit of using and moving only his little finger. Great emergencies and crises show us how much greater our vital resources are than we had supposed." – William James

As for those tasks I can do them at anytime to bring more prestige to myself and my Master?

Oh, it comes equipped with a superlaser worthy of the Eclipse, you see... and it's permanently pointed at this quaint little Academy, in case you rabble should try and supplant me. And in case you are thinking the obvious thought.... Yes, I've been made aware this would also destroy me, which is why I'm a little disgruntled today. Such incompetent officers I have.

Well, by all means Lady Viscretus, you are free to locate tenants for our old Temple. At least we bought that one outright. We really do need the credits if we are to install that Galaxy Gun on the command ship... But be subtle. Only the Light Knights of the Jedi know of our weakness. If informed the EUC is, multiply, our debtors will.

I said nothing of them being horribly renovated. I said they were horrible mainly due to the mess the other Sith leave. As I am also a Count I could've lent the Sith the money to purchase the temple, though that would take to many intermediaries so not to draw attention to myself.
