    Hi,

sorry to start another thread on this,
can not edit my original one,

    ref,
    http://boards.theforce.net/lafayette_in/b10714/28755382/p1/?6

and thought it would be good to
promote the Lafayette area and these boards
with a thread that had the date & time
as part of the "Subject" line:)

More info on the concert itself (ie tickets)
    should be available on the
    Lafayette Symphony's web site at,
    http://www.lafayettesymphony.org/ourConcerts

NOTE: even if this is sold out, there should be quite a
few Rebel's (Rebel Legion), Jedi's (Jedi Council?)
and Imperial's (501st) wandering the area before the
concert starts. So, if you are out and about with
your droids in your Land-speeder, you might want to
drop by just for a visit:D

Hope you get a chance to come out to this, it looks like a great event.

Note: It is Octoberfest in town, so parking may be a little difficult.

    The Orchstra sounds great!
    (attended rehearsal last night)
    and
There should be about 30 fans in costume in the area.

    ok, gotta go:)

Just thought one photo and a breif description

from the event might be of interest to Lafayette SW fans:)

Rebels and Imperials worked very hard together to support
    the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra community.

There was a strong preshow prescence outside, in the main & aux lobbies
on the first floor as well as the second floor lobby, as well as
main floor seating and balcony seating.

and also at intermission and after the concert as well.

and during the performance of many GREAT John Williams pieces,

    Cowboys Overture
    Jaws
    Highlights from Jurassic Park
    March from 1941
Star Wars Suite: Imperial March & Throne Room and End Title

    - Intermission -

    Harry Potter Symphonic Suite
    Olympic Fanfare and Theme
    Theme from Superman
Star Wars Suite: Leia?s Theme & Duel of the Fates
    Raiders March

The Imperial March had Vader on stage with Stormtroopers
    on the main floor.

Chewie would finally get his medal during the Throne Room music,

And a Rebel face-off with Vader for Dual of the Fates.

R2D2 would also make a suprise visit, as at one point,
the conductor seem to loose his music, and it was
brought on stage to him by R2, Audience loved it:)

Met a lot of Star Wars fans from at least 4 different states,
as great fun was had by all.

Hope somebody from Lafayette got a chance see this or least
meet other fans out in front of the Long Center.
