I will be there by 9, because I need to the room to make the grab bags.

Should we just let the kids pick out their prize out of a big pot of stuff? What say the group?

 

Works for me. I dont think I will get there at 8, but definitely by 11.

 

I'll be there by 9. RMFF tshirt ok for this one? I don't think I'm going to have a Star Wars related costume, but if you don't mind me showing up as one of the twins from the Matrix, I can do that in a flash.

 

A lot of us won't be wearing SW costumes, so that is sooooo not a problem. But you are also welcome to wear the shirt, too.

 

since we forgot to bring jabba to milehi con i will bring him down to the museum at some point in the morning. we now have 8 sith made bean bags. protect them with your life. they even have frogs on them.

 

OKay then... I was trying to figure out how to handle that, and now I don't have to worry.

 

I'll be there in the 11ish time frame, to await further instructions.

 

I'll get there about 11 or so myself.

Does anyone mind (and if it's okay with the Museum Director at Forney) if I drop the foamsabers and Jabba off at Forney before Friday? My car is telling me it needs maintenance, and it sounds like an evil, robotic Morena Baccarin, so I'm not going to ignore it. Cross-posted for visibility.

I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem for Amy... Just give her a call tomorrow to make sure.

Thanks to everyone that came out for this. I haven't heard the numbers yet, but the new parking lot was PACKED most of the day. The sabers were a HUGE hit and I still think we should set up a Whack-A-Birrer as a charity project.

 

We had a great time! Sorry we left Beans meat and cheese snack on the table.


Watching all of the wee clones and vaders whack a birrer was priceless!


Thank you LOTM for giving extra time to JulieBean. She kept calling you "Kitty" on the way home.

 

Just got numbers and we had twice the attendance as last year!

YAY!!!

 

Just got an email from the curator...

And just so everyone can get an idea of how successful this has been...first year we did it, I think we had less than 200 people there. That is less than the total number of members we've helped generate with this little endeavor. Yay Us!

 

Great time as always! Thanks for everyone who came.

The foam lightsabers were a great idea and should be incorporated every year. Things to consider for that...

1. A designated time in which Vader will appear, probably coordinated with the other activities and get kids prepared.

2. Maybe a cool background.

3. A spotter an gatekeeper, which we had.

4. Some rules that include time limits and NO ADULTS!
