Standing, the Council Member watched the varied younglings and padawans enjoy their free time. It felt like it had been a very long time since that had been him, but in reality was only twenty-five years or so. Yea, that's just a drop in the bucket. Shaking his head slowly, distant thoughts of his youth formed in his mind. They had been good times. Happy times, even if that wasn't precisely the Jedi's ideal. Genuinely enjoyable, for one who had decided to find enjoyment in little things such as the play of light on a leaf, or the sound a waterfall made.

Thinking of leaves and waterfalls inevitably drew Vance's attention to the gardens that surrounded him. The one thing that gave Grand Master Rendush joy above all others was these gardens. There had even been times that Alexander had been seen working among the flowers, or aiding the gardeners with something that they needed assistance with. Many thought that it was impractical for the Grand Master to take time out of his schedule for such things, but it obviously brought Rendush some anchor in the storm of "necessities" that others pressed upon him.

An especially loud splash drew his attention back to the younglings. There was something about the human girl that kept drawing Vance's attention. Since he wasn't due at the council meeting for some time, and there was in all honesty nothing pressing to be done until then a rather impish idea began forming in the Master's mind. It wasn't like anyone could reprimand him for doing it, nor would anyone. The rest of the council had been after Vance to loosen up for quite some time. It was about time that he had some fun.

Walking over to the lake, he asked the two younglings "Do you mind if an old man joins you?" They could say no if they chose, but Vance hoped they wouldn't. And it would be a good chance to learn more about Sera, whom the Force seemed to be pushing him towards taking on as a new Padawan. It was impossible for him to think of that word without Nikel coming to mind, but the pain had faded. It was long past time for it to be put in it's place.

Name: Delvan Qel-Droma
Alias (If Any): Damon
Age: 18
Species: Human
Home World: Coruscant
Gender: Male
Height: 5? 8?
Weight: 143 lbs.

General Description: Delvan is shorter than most, and extremely thin. He is extremely muscular, though his are suited more for nimble moves and quick and silent action. His face is clean shaven. His dress has changed at various points in his life, though currently he wears black pants and long-sleeved shirt, both a little baggy and lightweight to allow for increased movement. His boots are black as well and geared for silent movement. Upon his chest he wears lightweight body armor, as well as a matching set of bracers, each with a blade that is hidden in it. The addition of black leather gloves and a black cloak complete his wardrobe, though he is currently trying to locate a black sith mask to hide his pale skin when on missions.
Personality Traits: Delvan is arrogant and cocky in his youth. He believes himself to be the most adept DoD member when it comes to stealth, and that at times has gotten him into trouble. He has few morals and values and is often only kept in check for fear of death from Darth Insipid. His upbringing has made him over bearing and inconsiderate. He?s selfish and extremely fond of women? at times unhealthily so. For all of his bravado, he is extremely insecure, however, and has cast Darth Insipid into the role of a Father figure, wanting little but his approval.

Affiliation: Dominion of Darkness
Rank: Apprentice

Lightsaber/Weapon Description: His lightsaber is a simple silver hilt with a bright red blade. He also makes use of bladed bracers, various daggers, and thrown projectiles. He carries a blaster with him as well, though is not as skilled in his use as he would like to be.

Fighting Style: When challenged to face to face combat, he falls upon an aggressive form of Shien, contrary to his natural tendency towards stealth.

Biography:

Said to be a descendant of the same family as Ulic, there is little evidence to support that Delvan is indeed a Qel-Droma. It is speculated that his father added that to impress others. Either way, Delvan is extremely gifted in the Force. At a young age, he could prove to be a great Jedi. However, his upbringing was not conducive to such a destination.

Delvan grew up in a poor section of the Coruscant under-cities. His father, an abusive drunk, murdered Delvan?s mother when in a drunken fury when Delvan was only three. There is not much to say about his childhood, aside from it was unhappy. Delvan?s father was never convicted of the murder, and with his beating post now dead, Devlan became the target of his father?s drunken rages. When he was eight, Delvan endured a particularly brutal beating, and as his father collapsed onto the couch, Delvan grabbed a knife from the kitchen and murdered his father.

Somehow, Delvan survived for two years on the streets, learning how to keep to himself and hide in the shadows. He even learned some rudimentary techniques of the Force that aided him. During this time, Delvan developed the cold ideology that he must take care of himself, and that he must do so at the expense of others if needs be.

However, he was miserable, and underfed, when he was found at the age of ten, crying in a dark alley, by Darth Insipid. The Lord of Betrayal?a leader within the Dominion of Darkness?took little note of the child until he realized the potential Delvan possessed in the force. Promising power and security, Darth Insipid quickly convinced Delvan, and he has not looked back since he went with him. Changing his name to Damon, Delvan now has tried to leave his past behind him, and fights for a future where he will have the power to never be hurt again.

Biography:

Raven was born to a Kiffar woman named Saali Vez, who fell in love with a man named Jarek Lightstar. He was a Near Human of Unknown Decent. Their love would not last long for Jarek had to go away on business and left Saali alone and pregnant. Months went by and no word came from Jarek. She thought maybe he was killed. With little money to her name she decided to go back to her homeworld of Kiffex.

There Saali planned to have her child. During childbirth Saali had a difficult time. Raven was born, but her mother who lived long enough to give her baby girl her name, died. Raven was raised by the Vez Clan, but never given the tattoo that signified her clan. It was usually passed down from the fathers side and since Raven did not have a Kiffar father she was shunned. They also felt she was strange for some reason they felt there was an oddness about her. She was able to use the force at a young age without proper training. Though she wasn't proficient at it she was able to play tricks with her young force abilities. She was a mischievous child and one day with out approval she gave herself a green tattoo that resembled the Vez Clan.

The Clan was furious and felt that Raven had to leave. They never gave her love and affection that she desired. She was just a nuisance that they were left with. One of the clan members called in the Jedi to get rid of her. She was taken to the Jedi Temple and raised like most younglings in the temple.

She was far ahead of her age group and easily bored. She did well in her studies, but was not challenged enough until she was given a master at the young age of eight years old. Her masters name was Nicholi Chaz. He was not the usual type of Jedi for he wasn't that serious. He used to kid around a lot and gave Raven a chance to hone her skills in a less predictable environment than the Temple. Raven was thrilled for this was exactly what she wanted. She was able to explore the galaxy while learning to be a Jedi. She felt at home with Master Chaz. Though there wer

Dade smiled slightly at the end of Vincent's question and slight joke before speaking once again himself. "A lot has happened in the last 52 years, as things always do, although nothing you should concern yourself with, mostly. I will not bore you with the long story. The short version is that the galaxy locked in a sort of Force cold war. Various new force using groups have cropped up in the last half a century, and have been actively recruiting. The Jedi have been blamed for this, essentially, as they usually are given how most people are uninformed of the Jedi's actions. An arms race has been ongoing for a few years now, with many sides building up their military presence, with each side sometimes threatening war every so often. The Templar have been lucky in this, as few people know of our existance, and Anothelis and Gehenna are planets that everyone outside of the Templars don't even know exist. The Templars are watching and waiting because the balance is slowly unravelling. We will soon have to enter the fray and forcefully rejoin it. But we have hesitated. There is a power behind all of this chaos, but we cannot figure out what."

As he spoke, a Templar healer came over with a med droid and began applying localized anathesia to the area of Vincent's wound as to allow him to continue speaking but not feel the pain of her operation. She then left and let the medical droid begin to clean Vincent's wound and apply a small amount of bacta to the area before moving away once more.

"I am Kage once again, as I have been many times in our history. In fact I do not believe they would have liked any other for Kage as I have weathered many crisis that others have not. As far as Anothelis goes, the Templar Mission's initial construction completed in 55aby. Internal construction completed a year later and the building itself was named the Templar Mission. By 70aby, we had completed various structures and services in and around the building, such as communications, hangers, stores, parks, gardens, a Therali Temple, a Templar Temple, and a small Therali-Templar Enclave called the Therali-Templar Institute or TTI, if you will. Further construction began and by 80aby, we had a whole district constructed, which has been rechristened the Templar Mission District. At current, we are constructing two other districts, the Military District and the Commerce District. Estimations have completion between 125 and 130aby. Gehenna as well as been under construction, although this will take far longer because of the obvious complications. We currently have a small temple on Gehenna Minor for various training and meditations, but we don't expect full construction of the Mining Facility to be completed for a few more decades. Although we have been able to begin to mine small portions of a cortosis vein there."

Getting tired of standing, Dade pulled a nearby chair over and sat down silently. "As far as everything else goes...well we heard rumors that Darth Insipid died in 65aby, although we were not able to find any proof of this. Although if the rumors turn out to be true, you may have been deprived of your chance at revenge by fate. I personally doubt he is dead, though. He never seemed like one to die silently. If he had died, he would have made a show of it. The Jedi have moved to Corellia, and the Sith are most likely at work in the shadows, as always. Anything else you wish to know? If not, the healers would like me to stop bothering you so they can get you into a bacta tank." He motioned over to the senior healer who standing there, tapping her foot impatiently, not wanting to wait any longer to give her patient a full bacta treatment.

?No, nothing. Besides, I haven't experienced real sleep in 52 years. It would be nice to rest for a while... And about Insipid, for a Dead man, he looked pretty good about 5 hours ago, aside from the ankle I'm sure I snapped...? Vincent put a hand on his head, ?When I get out of this tank I'll need your help Dade, I'm going to need to regain my former... 'prowess'.? He looked around for a moment, ?Its times like this I miss Kev-Mas... Oh, and check the Ivory Dagger there is a Lightsaber in it, its Insipid's, and now its mine.?

He leaned back and closed his eyes. A mask was placed over his face, and he barely felt as he was, somehow, lifted up. He did however feel his body being slowly submerged in Bacta. It was a cold feeling, and the smell. Vincent wrinkled his nose at the smell, he just wasn't fond of the smell of bacta. Maybe I can rest... Vincent though as his mind became cloudy, I'm so tired all of a sudden... within moments, he was floating within the tank, and adrift in a sea of dreams, or more accurately, a sea of nightmares.

Dream Sequence

You don't get over what he had been through in a day, hell Vincent would be lucky to come to full terms with it in a year. It was going to haunt him, and it was. He could see nothing, blind, again. There was only black, he was familiar with black now. But he could hear, and he heard his voice. The bastard was laughing that damn laugh. That stupid sadistic laugh, and it enraged Vincent. It swelled inside him, Even your anger is pathetic he heard, insulted. I am not Pathetic!. Then prove it.

His anger having reached a boiling point, Vincent lunged forward, not only in his dream but in reality as well. His face pinged off the bacta tank, causing a burst of pain in his nose, and jolting him awake. His eyes opened and he looked around, but could barely sea outside the tank but he felt safe. ~Sir?~ one of the medical droids said, ~Please remain still, there is about 5 more minutes left in your treatment cycle, then you will be permitted to move about.~ Vincent nodded, and to his surprise it didn't hurt. He then took a deep breath, and there was only a twinge of pain, relaxing back he waited. He'd want to get started right away. Building new lightsabers, and retraining, catching up, he had a lot of work to do, a lot of work.

Dade Leviathan
Temple of Twilight; Zonama Sekot

Dade crossed his arms as he watched Vincent be lowered into the bacta tank and drift off to the sleep. He looked towards the Twi'lek head healer. "Tell him to see me in the council chambers when he wakes up, Shishou Nala," he said softly as he watched the lights on the bacta flick on to signal full submerging. The healer nodded towards him before going back to monitoring the tank, and Dade silently left without another word. He wondered if what Vincent said about five hours ago was true or whether that five hours ago was really fifty years earlier. It would be hard to tell. He didn't know if Vincent himself would be able to truly know. If Insipid was not only alive and well five hours earlier, but functioning perfectly then he had learned techniques that very few Sith had. It troubled him immensely that such a person would learn the secret to long life without using spirit transference, and he doubted the Insipid knew the secret to Midichlorian manipulation, but then again anything was possible.

He entered the hanger once again and lithely hopped into the cockpit, picking up the lightsaber that Vincent had spoke of before drifting off to sleep. The smooth silver handle was simple yet elegant. The craftsmanship wasn't perfect, but then again not everyone had Dade's privilege of being able to perfect lightsaber construction for nearly 1000 years. In fact, Dade had seen very few perfect lightsabers. But then again, one didn't need a perfect lightsaber. They just needed a working one. Rolling the smooth, cold metal hilt through his hands, he hopped down from the cockpit and ignited the blade, a red beam bursting forth. He waved it through the air a few seconds before disengaging the blade and walking from the hanger. He motioned towards one of the engineers. "Put the ivory dagger on maintenance line. Try to have it repaired within the month if you can." The engineer nodded as Dade then walked away and down the hall towards the living quarters and the Templar Offices.

Once in his office he sat down, the lightsaber of Insipid still in his hands. He turned it over before removing both hands from it and suspended it in the air with the force. A few flicks of his wrist and the top and bottom slowly twisted and slid apart, revealing the mechanism inside. Another few flicks of his wrists and the crystals gently clicked out of place and floated down to the table. He then put all parts down on the table before pulling the mechanism out of the cylinder. The pomel had some sort of ruby inset in it which Dade studied for a moment. Just a regular ruby it looked like.

He hadn't taken the lightsaber apart for amusement. He wanted to see if there was any hidden reason for Insipid leaving the weapon behind. It seemed there was not, and that the sith had left the weapon behind out of arrogance or foolishness. Either reason didn't really matter to Dade as he slid a box over from the side of his desk. The small box was carved of ancient Alderaani wood, many jewels inset in the top, and an ornate keyhole in the lock. Dade pulled a small ornate key from one of the draws and inserted it, opening the box to reveal about three dozen various crystals of varying hues. "Synth crystals," he said with soft contempt, dropping the synthetic crystal unceremoniously on the desk. Synth crystals, as Dade knew, made more powerful blades but were not as pure as natural crystals, and he knew all too well that a pure blade was of more use to you than a powerful one unless all you planned on doing was slashing about like an idiot, as most sith did. Carefully looking through the box he removed an elegant red crystal he had found many years earlier on Dantooine. Looking through it he made sure it had no cracks before placing it on the table before him. He then removed a clear, oval shaped focusing crystal which he then laid upon the table as well. Raising both the mechanism and the crystals into the air with the force he methodically moved his hands about slowly, clicking the crystals perfectly into

Name: Greyst Denali
Alias (If Any): ~
Age: 2,782 years
Species: Gen'dai
Gender: Male
Height: 8' 3"
Weight: 382 pounds

General Description:
Greyst, like all Gen'dai, is a large and muscular looking being. His muscular looking structure, however, it because of his physiology, as he is literally a walking nerve cluster. Without robes and armor, he appears like a being with many nerves and sinews covering his body. This is, of course, his natural appearance.

He has a hulking and intimidating look about him, although he is far from intimidating in real life, as he is calm and thoughtful and slow to anger, like most of his species.

He usually always wears non-restrictive brown robes with black under robes, which covers most of his body, thus giving him that muscular like look. His boots are brown bantha leather and he wears thick armored gloves which allow for more potent fighting whenever he needs to defend himself.

Traits:
Greyst is extremely calm and always thinks things through before making a decision. He was a Fire Warrior of the Templars, using his "inner fire" to power his fighting. He spent very little time honing his force skills, and only knew Telekinetic skills and some physical enhancing skills such force jump and strength.

He is an incredible lightsaber duelist, and because of his age he is one of the few people in history to fully master all of the forms of Lightsaber combat. While not adept in the combative applications of the force, his Gen'dai Phisiology makes him easily one of the most powerful and deadly warrior that the Templars have at their disposal, although he only fights when he has no other choice. Even though he is a fire warrior, this doesn't mean that he is reckless, in fact few fire warriors are.

Affiliation: Templars of Twilight
Rank: Gin Shishou; Council Member and Head of the Fire Warriors.

Lightsaber/Weapon Description: A large two handed electrum saber hilt that other than its brilliant metal is quite plain.
Fighting Style: Master of his own lightsaber form, known as Firesword, which requires mastery of all major forms of lightsaber combat.

Biography:

Greyst was born on Exocron in 2682 BBY. He was raised by his parents to respect all life and when he was 65 years old, he left his parents to seek knowledge of the rest of the galaxy. It was during this time that he encountered the Jedi on their enclave on Dantooine. The head of the Enclave, Master Ruka, discovered that the young Gen'dai was gifted in the force, and convinced him to join their ranks as his own Padawan.

Greyst was knighted 25 years later and at the age of 120 years, he was granted the title of Master. He served for the next 562 years at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. In 2000 bby, when the New Sith Wars broke out, he served as a Jedi Lord for the duration of the conflicts, rising to become one of the most respected Jedi in the conflict. One of the only Jedi who garnered more fame than him was the famed Jedi Lord Hoth. When the Jedi were decimated on Ruusan, Greyst was commanding his own Army of Jedi on the world of Kashyyyk where he was commanding a small strike team to take care of the sith remnant that was still on the planet. The death of so many Jedi reverberated so strong through the force that the immense shock caused Greyst to collapse and fall from the platform where he was fighting three kilometers in the wroshyr trees down to the shadow lands and his apparent death. However, because of his physiology, he only suffered a few major bruises that took a few days to heal.

He was then moved back to the Dantooine Enclave where he became the Battlemaster for the Jedi. When Dade Leviathan was stationed at the enclave, he and Greyst soon became very close friends, having like minded philosophies where the force and battle was concerned.

When Dade left the Jedi, Greyst didn't follow him, however they kept in close contact. A few centuries later, when Dade and

Getting pulled out of a bacta tank wasn't the most glorifying thing in the galaxy to do. Especially considering the fact you only got to wear a small set of shorts, it was also slightly embarrassing. Vincent emerged from the small refresher they had directed him too, in order to rinse off the excess bacta and most of the smell. Thankfully, there was no one in the room for him to be embarrassed about seeing him, only a set of vary familiar clothes.

The healer, Nala, had informed him that when he was thought dead, they had put a good deal of his belongings in storage, including his clothes. He donned the white and black vest and matching trousers, and took a deep breath. His old pair of clothes had felt dirty, filthy, it was nice to feel refreshed, like new, even if he was over one hundred years old. He slide on a belt, empty pouches and belt hooks, making him feel almost naked.

As Vincent turned to the door, Nala stepped in and bowed, ?Master Mikaru, Kage Leviathan requested your presence in the Council chambers when you awoke. Do you recall the way or do you need a guide?? Vincent lifted a hand and moved some hair from before his yes, ?I can find my own way thank you. Is there anything else?? The Twi'lek shook her head, ?No sir.? Vincent nodded, and stepped past her, and out into one of the Temples grand hallways.

He took a deep breath of the Sekotan air and exhaled, it was refreshing, vibrant, full of energy, it rejuvenated him. He spun on his heal, and faced down the long corridor towards a spiral set of stairs. He knew there was a lift that would take him to the level but he wanted to walk. To use his body that had been all but unused for 52 years. As he walked he thought about things. The Templars had expanded on Anothelis, A Military District? he thought, We're expanding our military? Good. And he remembered Gehenna.

He had been one of the Templars that scouted out the system during the Dark Nest Crises. It was going to be a possible place for Sekot to hide, but instead, they had found a mineral rich planet, that was dying. Gehenna's star was old, a blue spectrum white dwarf. And the system was very cold. Dominated by large asteroids of rock and Ice that had once been its planets. The only planet that was left was likely a moon at one point, apparently similar to Dxun, rich in minerals and resources, that had flash frozen when the star went into the twilight of its life.

In his thinking Vincent had made it all the way to the large council chamber door, they were cracked open enough for a single person to enter. Taking another deep breath Vincent stepped inside the large chamber that he had not seen in so long, its size still spectacular and breath taking. In the distance he could see Dade. ?You requested I meet you here Dade... I mean Kage Leviathan??

Her eyes glistened in the light of the ligthsaber blade as she waited for her master to make his move. They were intense with concentration focused on the task in front of her, something her master had drilled into her. ?Be mindful of the Living Force?, he would say.

She blocked another attack from her Master, the clash of lightsabers blinding her for a second. The Force told her what to do next and she attacked but it was defeated again by a block. Trying another attack she swung hard- it was blocked again.
She could smell burning cloth and flesh; feeling a pain on her shoulder she saw her masters training saber slice though her robes.
He had won again.
She sighed with frustration and tried to calm herself as she bowed to the victor. The expression on her face when she looked up again was pained and almost sad as she reflected on her performance in the sparring chamber that day.

She could tell she had improved very little over the last few months. She was still making rookie mistakes and at times it was extremely frustrating. She felt lucky to have the Grand Master teaching her, yet she still didn?t understand why he had picked her out of all the other potential candidates. Her lightsaber training was seriously lacking from her disturbed training at a younger age- the last Jedi Schism had thrown the order into disarray and there was no time to nurture younglings and padawans.
Her desire to improve and become proficient was strong; it burned within her. But at times it was hard to maintain that conviction on days like today when her performance was below her standard. She resolutely decided to practice every day from now on. It was the only way.

She walked to the other side of the red and blue training mat and turned, blade to one side in a single-handed low guard, waiting for the next duel with her Master to begin?

Dade looked up as he heard Vincent call his name, and then correct himself to address him by his title. "Dade is fine, Vincent," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand, "You're not a Genin or Deshi anymore." Before he could say more, however, the large hulking figure of Greyst Denali entered the room, his eight foot tall figure dwarfing Vincent. Looking down he placed a gentle hand on the Templar's shoulder. "It is good to see you," he said calmly, he booming voice echoing softly in the cavernous room before removing his hand and walking slowly towards one of the other council chairs.

"I'm sure you remember Greyst," Dade said as Greyst sat down and nodded a greeting to Dade. "I have called him hear to not only give us some more insight into your situation, but also to help you train. The training, however can wait until later." He then motioned towards the center of the room where another less ornate chair had begun to rise. "Take a seat, please." After a few moment, he spoke again, this time with a more serious tone. "Vincent, you have been gone for over half a century, in which time many things have happened. However, given the fact that you say you saw Darth Insipid a few hours before you arrived upon Sekot greatly troubles me. Insipid, as far as we know, was not of a long lived species. While you were preserved because of stasis, he should be dead of old age by now. He has apparently discovered some secret other than spirit transference to keep himself alive. And given the fact that you didn't mention him looking like a corpse, he has been able to keep a youthful appearance. The only thing I can think of, is that he was somehow able to induce a similar stasis trance, but that still leaves the problem of being woken up. It is near impossible to wake yourself from such a trance if you stay too long. It is clear that he has been focusing his power to achieve whatever has given him such a long life-span." He looked towards Greyst who nodded.

"Morichro is a debilitating power, which can cripple even the most powerful of force users," Greyst said, leaning forward in his chair to rest his hands upon his knees, "a few species, like my own, are immune to its more deadlier effects because of our phisiology, but for those that have no defense against it, it does not matter how powerful they are in other areas if they are caught by it unawares. That a Sith has learned, or even attempted to learn, such a power is odd, and unsettling."

"Indeed," Dade said, extinguishing the Cigara he held in his hand. "There are two very high concerns regarding this matter. Firstly, if Insipid still lives, it is clear that he is a possible suspect for being behind the imbalance we have been sensing. Its obvious that he is the leader, or at least in a leadership position, of the Sith. He would not allow himself to be ruled over, arrogant as he is. He will have to be dealt with eventually, but the other matter is you. We cannot have a Templar running off in blind Vengeance. You should know well that while revenge can be honorable in situations, it is also a very easy path to imbalance. If you imbalance yourself, you can never have any hope influencing balance in others. Revenge is not a path to be taken in pure anger, Vincent. As a Fire Warrior, you should know this well, given the training you went under to control the inner fire. Do not throw this away just to kill someone in vengeful anger, or you will become like the enemy you crave to destroy."

He became silent, allowing the information to be understood before continuing. "Your ship is being repaired. Before it was taken by the engineers, I retrieved the lightsaber you spoke of," he motioned towards the table in the middle of the council chairs. "It is yours if you wish to use it. I checked it for anything that might hurt us. Nothing was found. Apparently Insipid left it out of foolishness." Looking back up to Vincent he added, "Do you understand what we are telling, Vincent? We will not tolerate foolish vengeance, especia

Alexander smiled as he sparred his padawan. He had yet to break a sweat, and he knew this annoyed her. However, it was good for her to be annoyed. It let her learn how to handle not only external but internal distractions as well. That was a lesson that Alexander could not teach her.

Effortlessly, Alexander parried her blows, and when she left herself open, he brought his saber around to tap her shoulder, hitting only hard enough to pierce the cloth and burn the shoulder. He then flicked his saber back a little and stepped away, dropping his arm back down to his side in his customary dueling stance. He smiled with pride as she gritted her teeth, bowed, and then returned to her side of the mat to try again. This is why he chose her. Nothing was going to stop her. Alexander could have removed her arm in the duel, and she would still be back at the other side of the mat, ready to fight.

The Grand Master watched her carefully, deciding now was the time to have this conversation. He deactivated his saber and sat down cross legged on the floor, gesturing for her to do the same. He folded his hands together, rested his elbows on his knees, and let his chin rest on the platform formed by his hands. He watched the girl for several seconds more before speaking.

"Rain, your training in lightsaber combat has been sporadic, at best. You've received a rudimentary education in Shii'Cho, Makashi, and Soresu. Even now you are training in both Ataru and Shien. You have the knowledge base, and you have the will power, and yet your dueling skills are still below average for someone your age." He paused, letting that sink in. He knew she would more than likely take that the wrong way, but it was true and she needed to learn to deal with that.

"No doubt you are aware you are soon going to be old enough to become a full fledged Jedi Knight. You must have a fighting style that suits you that you are more than proficient in. I know this is hard for you, and I have an idea what may help." He paused, letting that sink in as well. "Your focus is too broad. While it is essential as a Jedi to be at least proficient in all forms of combat you can, at this point in time you'll be better suited to picking one style to focus on. I am extremely proud of the progress you have made while under my tutelage, and I know that this will make you a better duelist. So, Rain, which style do you wish to focus on?" He let his eyes gaze into hers, waiting to see what her response would be.

Vincent Mikaru

Vincent took the seat, after nodding to Greyst, and watched and listened as the two elder Templars talked, nodding at times he thought appropriate. ?I do understand.? He said calmly, ?Yes, I admit I want revenge, I want to break the man in half among many things. But I do still remember my training, and my vows to this order. I will not succumb to my fury, not will I dismiss it, I will control it, use it to fuel my endeavors. To aid me in my Path as a Templar. And when it is appropriate, I will use it to kill Insipid. But it will be me who does it, even if I have to wait, which I will.?

In recognition to Dade's statement about the lightsaber he called it to him, and held its cold metallic hilt in his hand. ?You remember how my mind works right Dade?? He said slowly, ?While I have the skill and power of a Fire Warrior I have the mental habits of many Ice Sages, I ponder, I think. I don't believe Insipid is alone. I believe he has others, minions likely, perhaps one or two confidants. Which he has taught the stasis ability to. While he is in stasis they watch over him, then wake him, then He watches over them while they are in stasis. ?

Or, perhaps even worse, he has found a way to keep his mind awake during the process. I may have imagined it, but there were times when I could think, perhaps even hear. But as I believe I was in a stationed abandoned, there was nothing to do so. If this is the case he is far more powerful than I thought, than any of us thought. He could very well be one of the more dangerous individuals we've faced, or he may just be a smaller part of something bigger. Either way we need to find out more. The only clue I know of, is that station. He at least used it to hold me, he may have used it to hold more. I suggest an investigation, by someone with less personal ties to this than me. To see if they can find anything about where Insipid bases himself, or maybe even deprive him of things he may find precious. Perhaps even holocrons.?

Jedi Knight Dil Finwerk stepped out of the landing craft in the Temple hangar, carrying a small knapsack on his back that contained his survival tools. The mission to the Hapes cluster had been uneventful, to say the least; it was never intended to be full of excitement and danger, but Dil had hoped that maybe something could have occured. However, he thought to himself, if something had gone wrong, then maybe he would not have been able to handle it. The reminders of the Order's schism were still strong; his Master had left the Order after he had gotten into several disputes with other Jedi, leaving Dil to fend for himself. He had never forgotten this abandonment, although the Order once again flourished under the newly-appointed Grand Master, Alexander Rendush.

Heading to the turbolift, Dil pressed a button on the console and turned around to look outside as the car ascended. It was a nice day to be outside, and yet he didn't feel as if he wanted to enjoy it. There was something on his mind, but he couldn't come to terms with what it was. As the turbolift doors opened, Dil stepped out into the hallway on the third floor of the Temple; he wanted to go to his quarters and just mull things over. As he walked, he passed several younglings chasing each other down the hallway; when the children saw Dil, they quickly stopped running and stood there until the Jedi Knight had moved on past before continuing their game. Dil wished that he had more drive to do something like that; however, he just wasn't in the mood to enjoy the weather. As he turned the corner, he walked down a smaller hallway, ending up in front of his room. Sliding a card through the slot, the door slid open, and Dil entered.

Upon entering his room, Dil slid his bag off his shoulders onto the floor and sat down on his bed as the door closed behind him. His bed felt very comfortable compared to what he had been sleeping for the past several weeks; starship holds weren't nearly as nice as personal quarters, especially since he didn't have to share it with anyone else. Sprawling out on his back, Dil stared at the ceiling; in his younger days, he had sat in this same position for hours on end, trying to count how many small rocks were in the ceiling. Bored, he reached out for the small datapad on his side table; grasping it with his fingers, he turned it on. Clicking one of the applications, he started to watch news footage from one of Correlia's HoloNet stations. He watched the usual assortment of news: slayings, robberies, domestic disputes; nothing ever changed on the HoloNet.

Shutting off the pad, he set it aside and grabbed his lightsaber hilt and held it up in front of his eyes. He wanted to make a new blade badly, but no matter what ideas he came up with for an original design, it always failed. Plans for a new saber were draped over a small desk in the corner, all designs that he had thought through yet could never work very efficiently. It was a lost cause, he thought to himself, there was just no way to redesign such an elegant weapon. Taking a deep breath, he began to flip over the hilt half-heartedly. It was going to be a long and boring day.

Dade listened to Vincent's argument silently. It had merit. "Perhaps," he said in response once Vincent had finished, "We must think about the possibilities first. If we can capture the station, and it is indeed a stronghold of his, then we will have deprived him of needed power. On the other hand, if it is nothing but an empty station, then we have wasted our time." He slid the computer over in front of him and pressed a few buttons. A few beeps were heard before he slid it back over to the other side of him. "I have forwarded the data on the nav computer to the mainframe. If we believe it is a wise choice, we will send a small team to the station's coordinates to investigate."

"Firstly though," Greyst said, straightening up, "There is the matter of training. Your body has been asleep for fifty years. It will not have the same strength it had when you were put into statis. We will have to train your skills, as well as teach you new ones. I will personally teach you combat while Dade will teach you force usage. As a fire warrior, your focus is combat, but if you do not learn significant skills to defend yourself against Insipid's force power, you will never have a chance of besting him in combat."

"Resisting Morichro is difficult, even for someone strong in the force," Dade added, "It is not just a matter of deflecting the force energy from yourself, but a matter of purging such power from your veins. It is like a poison that has no antidote. And if you are not prepared to defend against it and start the process immediately, then it will be too late. I am a master of the power. I have no trouble defending myself against it, but I doubt Insipid will come after me. He has never come after me which leads me to believe he only wishes to fight those who would be useful to him. He most likely knows full well that I would make a poor servant, and that besting me in combat would be extremely difficult."

"The training will be difficult," Greyst explained, leaning back in his chair, "We will be teaching you in months what it takes years for most people to learn. You must take no respite, for if you wish to even remotely be a match for one such as Insipid, you much train every day, only taking breaks to rest and eat."

"There will be no time for rest. No time for modifying your Interceptor, or going on joy rides. If you understand this, we will see you in the training halls in a half hour. Go get something to eat first, training on an empty stomach is never a good idea. And by all mean, do not take any stims. Understand? Good. You are dismissed."

Dade then stood and walked from the room. Greyst however stood slowly and walked up to Vincent. "A hard road lies ahead," he said gently, placing a hand on Vincent's shoulder. "But I have confidence in you. I cannot promise that you will beat Insipid. But I will promise that we will make you the best fighter you can be. I will see you in the training halls." With that, he calmly turned and walked from the chambers, leaving Vincent alone.

Rani was now seated on the floor of the sparring room cross-legged, facing her master. He looked at her with friendly earnestness as he spoke, using his nickname for her to ease her obvious tension.

?You have the knowledge base, and you have the will power, and yet your dueling skills are still below average for someone your age.?

She heard his censure with pain, but she knew it was true and she would accept it. It was the only way to move on and improve. She heard the wisdom of her masters? words and believed he was right. This was why they made a good pair. They were matched in personality, ideologies, and intelligence and so one understood the other in their turn.

He asked her to pick a style to focus on. This was another source of irritation. She had a solid knowledge base of the first three lightsaber forms, but was not proficient in them except for the first most basic. But her master was right; she should pick one and one only.

She took a few seconds to consider her options, to make the right choice for her. Finally she spoke.

?You know Master, I am an admirer of the legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Clone Wars. He was an avid Soresu user and so I would like to learn Form III. I think it?ll be useful in this day and age don?t you think? Blasters are widely used and this form will protect me from blaster fire when out on missions. I think it?s important I become proficient in this Form?, she said with earnestness, ?What do you think?? she asked her Master.

She had made a point of mentioning ?missions? to him, to see if she could trigger some form of compassion or guilt in him. He often left her behind and went on missions alone because of her incompetency. She was vulnerable in a fight and he would feel obligated to look after her as well as himself. She felt guilty for being a weakness but was disappointed when she was left behind. How else was she to improve her skills if she didn?t use them in real situations??

She called on the Force to calm herself and put things into perspective. She was skilled at this at least. She felt it curse through her like cool water as it reached every corner of her body, till she was soothed.

She opened her eyes looking right into those of her master waiting calmly for his response.

Alexander smiled as the young girl.... no, young lady, he reminded himself. She had grow up on him. Rani selected a style that Alexander felt she would. "Rain, I thought you'd pick Soresu. It's defensive capabilities are well suited for you, and will serve you well. However, Soresu requires extreme patience. Without it, you will fail. It requires you to keep your focus at all times and to be mindful of the future. When using Soresu, dueling becomes more of a chess game than usual. You must plan your moves carefully, letting yourself have several options, depending upon your opponent's reaction. But you know all of this. Enough of the lectures. Let's begin."

Alexander was on his feet in an instant, and his saber was in his hand ignited and hanging limply at his side. The red blade illuminated the space around him as the saber's hum filled the air. He waited for Rani to get to her feet before speaking further. "First, as I am sure you know, you must find a stance that is best for you. Soresu will be best aided by one that will keep your saber close to the body, limiting the movements you make to block." Alexander gave her a moment to find her stance, and when it seemed she was prepared, he continued. "I will be using Makashi. As your proficiency increases, I'll be switching to more aggressive forms of combat."

Right as he finished speaking, he rushed forward, flicking his saber backwards in an arc the brought his saber down towards Rani's forehead. He was hoping to take her by surprise. She had to learn to always be prepared. The enemy was rarely going to ensure she was ready before attacking.

About five minutes later

Vincent thought about what Greyst and Dade had said. He knew it would be a hard road but one he'd need to take. He looked at the tray in front of him, 52 years had made him hungry, but he didn't want to go into training full on food. Instead he'd gotten a sandwich, chicken apparently, with all the trimmings, and special protein soup, also flavored like chicken, heavily, to cover the bad taste. He also got a fruit flavored nutritional supplement drinks, he would need nutrients to gain his strength back.

It really didn't taste too bad, and seeing as his stomach was very empty it felt like the greatest meal he'd ever had. The sandwich went rather quickly, the soup followed suit. Despite his better judgment he even went back for a second bowl, and in total he drunk three supplements along with it. Afterwards, he felt stronger, not full, but satisfied, and stronger, he felt great.

He rose from small table he had been eating at and disposed of his tray and dinning ware at the cleaning receptacle. He then made his way through the Atrium pausing at a small bond of water with fish. He remembered the pond, but the fish were different. Everything was in some way. Vincent sighed and quickly made his way to the vine lift. ?Training Level.? Vincent let the vines wrap around him and lower him down to the training levels lower in the temple. After that it was nothing but a short walk to the Training Hall. Stepping in to the large hall he looked around, ?Master Greyst??

The training room was dark as if nobody had been there in hours. Silence filled the large hall which counterparts were currently bustling with students. This training room, usually reserved for the sparring of Masters, was as silent as space, with only the lights above the lockers lit. But there were indeed people there. Dade and Greyst had entered the room a half hour earlier and both were unseen at the moment. Dade hiding his presence in the force, as well as his visible presence and Greyst was currently hidden in the shadows of one of the corners of the room. They both saw Vincent come in.

A few moments passed after Vincent called Greyst's name. Nothing answered, although Greyst silently unhooker his lightsaber from his belt and moved his thumb towards the trigger. Without a word, he jumped from his hiding place, using the force to propel him across the room towards Vincent. Halfway there he ignited the lightsaber with a hiss and with a cry of fury brought it down towards Vincent's neck.

Dade stoically watched the ordeal. It was rough training, far more than anyone would ever attempt with a Genin or a Deshi. But Vincent was neither, and he needed to learn his lessons completely but also quickly.

Brutus then stands up, and unhooks his lightsaber from his belt and ignites it. The Green Blade intertwines with the early morning sunlight. Brutus steps back and puts his lightsaber into a Shii-Cho Position. Using the Force, he then activates his advesaries, 5 Lightsaber Training Droids, and sets them to maximum.

The Droids start up and activate their lightsabers. Beams of Red, Blue, Orange, Purple, and Silver pop out of nowhere. The droids begin to move in unison circling Brutus. Suddenly Red lashes out, leaping from the ground and raises its lightsaber into and overhead strike. Brutus roles out of the say of the strike and slashes at the droids unprotected arms, cutting them off, and putting Red out of commition.

The Other four droids look at Brutus and charge, each using a different Lightsaber form. Brutus begins to parry their blows, and the true training begins.

Something just didn't feel right, he had assumed there would be a test but standing in the dark wasn't what he thought. Then it became somewhat obvious when he saw the lightsaber, and the partly illuminated Greyst launching across the room at him. His mind didn't have time to react, and had he been anything but Echani he'd probably have been dead.

His mind didn't react but his body did, his left leg instantly slide forward, while his right bent lowering him down below the initial spot where the Templar Master's saber was aimed, at this point his mind was catching up to his body and he began to react much more quickly. As the Gen'dai's girth passed over his head Vincent rolled forward out of the way of the attack. He quickly jumped up and drew his saber but he didn't activate it, instead he leapt back into the shadows, out of sight.

He tried his best to hide his presence in the force, and slowly began to circle in the dark. Any good warrior knows that an opponent cannot attack what they cannot see. He remembered the words, they were Greyst's own. He also remembered how he'd used that ability against Insipid when insipid tried to make his presence fill the room. It had worked then, it would hopefully work now.

Greyst hit the ground and rolled, throwing off the extra momentum. He immediately turned to face where Vincent had been, noticing that he had dissapeared into the shadows. "Good!" he said, using his own innate senses to try and locate Vincent, "You expect the unexpected." He then circled over to the nearby wall. "But you forgot something," he added as he smirked, "The lights are simply turned off, not out." With that, he flicked the light switch on the wall near him and the room was flooded with light, exposing Vincent's position. "Hello," Greyst said with a smirk before launching himself across the room once again towards Vincent. However, this time, he meant to trick Vincent. Using the force to propel himself down, he came down exactly where Vincent would be if he chose to perform a similar move to his previous one. He then sliced his saber from his own left side towards the right side of Vincent's torso.

Dade, still hidden by the force, watched silently as the fight unfolded. It wouldn't be long until the real training began, but he knew that Greyst wanted to impart his own unique wisdom beforehand.

He dropped his attempt to hid himself in the force and instead thought about Insipid. His annoying laugh, his arrogance, what he did. And the anger swelled inside him, and it made him stronger.

Vincent focused that anger, that fury, that inner fire into one concentrated force push straight at Greyst as he flew across the room, but it didn't end there. He shifted all his weight and leapt up and forward after the Templar master. Mid leap he ignited the blood red blade and positioned it to thrust forward straight into Greyst. As she sat on the floor across from her master, ?Rain? was very pleased to hear his overwhelming agreement in her choosing Form III. Again she amazed at how similar they thought when he explained that the Form would suit her. It made her beam and become excited to start practicing.

?However, Soresu requires extreme patience. Without it, you will fail. It requires you to keep your focus at all times and to be mindful of the future. When using Soresu, dueling becomes more of a chess game than usual. You must plan your moves carefully, letting yourself have several options, depending upon your opponent's reaction?, Master Rendush said.

Her courage failed her for a second when he said this, as she knew that patience was something she was still learning. But she had the advantage of being determined when it was something important; and to her learning this Form and her whole lightsaber training was very important.

As her master finished his lecture, he got up and adopted an opening stance waiting for her to do that same. ?You must find a stance that suits you?, he said, ?Soresu will be best aided by one that will keep your saber close to the body?, he added.

She listened to his instruction and thought about it. A stance close to the body?hmm?easy!

She placed her feet a little wider apart, bent her knees and held her lightsaber with two hands in front of her; her brows furrowed in concentration.

Her master attacked hoping to catch her by surprise. Though surprised at how quickly he attacked she wasn?t totally unprepared and at the last minute she leant her head back and twisted away from the electrified blade.

She grinned at her master pleased that she survived his little trick.

He was surprised but pleased and she took the opportunity to attack. It wasn?t easy using Soresu against another lightsaber-wielding opponent, especially if one had not mastered it. But she had a go anyway. As the saying goes, ?Try not. Do. Or do not?.
She swung her lightsaber in a small circle in front of her, the golden blade making shadows on her pale face, then made to parry right and left quickly near her masters? torso, preparing to go on the defensive quickly if she had to. Her master responded?
