    Reading about the fate of the Romanovs began my obsession with Russian history. To say they were a mess as rulers is an understatement. It's an incredible story.

    Hopefully our American Romanovs are gone soon.

    Wasn't there a sister of Nikolai that escaped during the revolution and had plenty of children?
    There are certainly some worthy successors to Putin.

    There are plenty of Romanovs still around, yes. Just none of them who are descended from the last tsar.

    Also, that movie was weird. Bluth was trying so hard to do a Disney princess film and it didn’t quite work. But there was a nice song at the Winter Palace and Paris was neat.

    Typically it had one of those nonsense peasants with a heart of gold type of endings. Since when have peasants amounted to anything? Geez.

    Thanks for the laugh reading this thread, @GrandAdmiralJello. Hard to believe I was being so stupid and immature 5 years ago. I should've known better.

    (And if anyone tries to ask me, "Well, what about the bodies being reburied?!!" my answer is this:

    They never will be all together. The ROC and the family have squabbled too long and wasted their time over the issue of identifying them. I don't care about it anymore and any variations of such question will be met with this same answer repasted. OK, thanks. :))
