Nash, TN 2005 - A Year of Galactic Trivia

Hey all! This year for my desk calendar I got Cedco's "Star Wars - A Year of Galactic Trivia" calendar (all right's reserved, THANKS for not suing). Some of the questions are pretty easy, but today had the first challenging question. So here's how I figured we'd do it. I'll post the question each day (there may be some lags here or there, work with me there) and the answer will be posted the following day. There is no need to respond, THIS IS NOT A CONTEST, & if it were then the only prize would be a slight inflation of ego. Besides if any of you have this same calendar that'd be a bit unfair. Be advised that the answer provided is only according to the Cedco Calendar company. Feel free to debate the answer here in this thread, but PLEASE wait until after the answer has been posted.

The questions also have been ranked in difficulty (again, by Cedco & not myself). The difficulty rating will be denoted by the following abbreviations: (JA = Jedi Apprentice, JK = Jedi Knight, & JM = Jedi Master)

1/1 & /2 (JA): Whose face did Luke see inside Darth Vader's mask during his dark side vision on Dagobah?

1/6 (JK): When does Chebbacca first fire his bowcaster?
A) On the first Death Star in ANH.
B) During the encounter with the probot on Hoth in ESB.
C) In the asteroid cave in ESB.
D) While attacking scout troopers on Endor in ROTJ.

Yeah I got that Calendar too & was contemplating doing the same thing on the boards. Great minds think alike I guess.

 

Good to know I've got back-up for those days I'm away from the computer Any idea how to do the picture questions? I stink at linking pics to this forum.

 

I guess I could Scan it & upload them to my website. Although, since the calendar is at work, it would be a day behind. For some reason our server won't allow me to upload anything to my website. I guess they are afraid somebody is going to upload the company's secrets OR "THE SECRET FILES". YES, I work for "The FIRM"

The 1/6 question about Chewbaca firing his bowcaster was in the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game and I answered "In the asteroid cave", but the card said in ROTJ during the scene on Endor when they encountered speeder bikes.
I argued with my wife and the other people who were playing, but they insisted on going with the answer on the card.

 

Yeah, that was a toughie. Originally I thought he distracted the Probot with a blaster bolt, but now realize he just stuck his head up.

I believe he fired on a mynock in the cave. However watches ESB next needs to Be On the Look-Out for these scenes & report back to us.

On the Chewie/blaster question: during the scene in ESB on the astroid, Chewie is wrestling with a Mynock and trying to shoot it. The camera goes to Han holding his blaster and you hear a shot fired, but it's not Han's because no laser shoots out of his blaster.

You don't actually see who's blaster was fired, so I guess that's why the Trivial Pursuit game didn't count it as the right answer.

Its either Han Solo. He was "Scruffy looking".

OR

R2-D2. He looks like a trash can & GL's nickname for his dog was "garbage gut"

 

I'd never heard of the "garbage gut" story before. If that's truw that perhaps it was the Sarlacc Pit that Indy inspired.
