Awards 2008 Before the Saga Awards Ceremony

Ceillean led the Mandalorians to their assigned seating located at the far end, away from any Sith. Void of their weapons because of the strict ?No Blaster? policy, these marauders were still intimidating, sending the Seat Fillers flying out of the chairs.

Ceillean held in her amusement as she sent these unnamed volunteers to their next assignments.

On stage, the next group of presenters emerged.

Heading to the podium are the young Padme Amidala, Princess of Theed, and her handmaidens.

The two boys roaming the ampitheater for adventure turn to the stage to see who warranted the numerous ?oohs? and ?ahhs?. Anakin turns to his new friend and asks, ?Who is that??

The boy shrugs. ?I dunno. Maybe an angel from the Moons of Iego.?

Anakin had heard of these but never saw one, let alone up close. He started for the stage and the other boy held him back. ?I wouldn?t get to close to them if I were you.? When Anakin looked him quizzically the other told him, ?They?re girls. All they do is think boys are cute and want to kiss them.?

?What?s wrong with that?? the slave boy from Tatooine asked.

?What?s wrong with that is girls are yucky and their kisses will give you the heebie jeebies. Trust me,? he said, ?You don?t want the heebie jeebies.?

Anakin didn?t know what that was, but it didn?t sound good. He agreed not to get too close but as he darted away he couldn?t help but think that was ok. He?d be seeing the Angel again, and soon.

Bastila couldn't believe her luck. When the Order had encouraged the Knights to attend the writer's ceremony, she had thought little more of it than a relaxing jaunt to a lovely place. She'd heard of the Sacred Pools but had never thought to see them.

Now, however, she only had eyes for one thing, one person. Darth Revan, dark Lord of the Sith, and the man that she loved.

She could barely keep her excitement from bubbling over into the Force. His face, his eyes staring back into hers, the slight smile that greeted her when he realized that she was there. Two hearts beating as one.

She felt like she was in a dream. And she refused to wake up. Love did that to people and she was glad.

What she didn't know was that a few meters away, a little Jedi padawan was watching them with avid interest...

"Master, why is Knight Bastila looking at a Sith Lord that way? That Darth Revan person. She's got his hand tightly in hers. Is she trying to capture him and take him back to the Temple?" Eleven-year old Siri Tachi wanted to know.

Siri and her master, Adi Gallia, were sitting in the back of the amphitheater and Siri had been watching the pair ever since the awards started. The lovers were in an alcove, hidden from just about everyone but Siri's prying gaze.

But Master Adi only said, "No, it wouldn't be a good idea right now with all the Sith around. Besides, love makes people do strange things sometimes."

Siri didn't understand it. What was a Jedi Knight doing with Darth Revan? Well, besides trying to kill him. But Bastila actually touching a Sith, holding his hand or looking at him as if she was starving and he was a banquet. That was not right.

But before she could ask further, she watched in astonishment as Bastila and Revan started kissing each other when they thought no one was looking.

Yuck.

"Master, they're... they're.... "

"Siri, when you're older, you'll understand," Master Adi said softly and she turned back to the ceremony.

"I hope I'm never that old," grumbled Siri.
