Ale: I don?t have a date with Mike, so I really can?t stand him up.

NYC: *sighs* Or turn everything really pink?

Ale: Piiiiiink? No, no pink.

NYC: Or let the characters loose?

Ale: I can do that? I mean, no.

NYC: Okay. Good luck, and thanks.

Ale: *waves away thanks* Yeah, yeah; you?re welcome, now go to work?

*DaenaBenjen42 comes up as NYC leaves*

Daena: Did you just tell Nat you weren?t going to do a bunch of things you?re actually planning on doing?

Ale: *smirks & nods* Oh, yeah.

Daena: Oh, Force.

FemaleRevan: I?m ready to let the monkey lizards free as soon as you give the signal, Ale.

Cazz walks in, wearing a navy blue halter neck, slightly disheveled as she had to run because everyone from the fanfiction boards just logged in at the same time, causing the site to lag.

SoA arrives wearing a dress with distinct elvish inspirations escorted by the droid remote Cresh. The straight sleeveless under dress of dark silvery gray is topped by a sheer crinkle in sky blue. Around the waist is a lighter silvery gray satin belt with a tabbard decked out with crystal beads hanging down the front. Cresh shined up nicely and the pair of lights on the crown of his dome flicker excitedly.

Due to Ak'ren Fitcher recent arrest and pending trial with the Jedi Council, he is unable to attend the ceremony.

 

*Ale steps into the stage, adjusting his tie. After a few moments of difficulty, he tosses it aside. He flips the mic on.*

?Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2009 Before the Saga Fan Fiction Awards! For those who don?t know, I?m Corellian_Ale and I?ll be hosting the ceremony this afternoon.

Please take your seats, as we?re about to begin.

For those of you following along at home, below this post you?ll find the list of winners. I?ll be updating it as the afternoon goes on so you don?t have to sort through a bunch of posts to figure out who has won so far.

A quick note on etiquette: feel free to cheer on your friends or accept nominations gracefully. However, bad spirits after you lose (or before, if you think you?re going to) or saying ?I hope so-and-so doesn?t win? are impolite and could mean your eviction from the ceremony. Republic Senate guards are stationed nearby. I will point at you and lead everyone in a rendition of ?na-na-na-na, hey-hey-hey, goodbye? should that happen.
