what was with Coach K's ultra-serious response to the Russian coach's joking comments about the game with USSR years ago?

 

USA dismantles Lithuania, and they are on to the Title Game.

 

Hope that Team USA wins, but, not going to lie, I'll be watching the NFL.

 

We need to have a talk, mister. Actually, before I berate you, is it even being shown on a channel I can get?

 

I was planning on watching today's game, but we get ESPN U, not ESPN Classic...if it is being broadcast on ESPN/ESPN2, I'll watch it during half time.

 

I hope USA but to be honest I will be watching the US Open Final

 

Team USA won, beating host country Turkey 81-64. Not a big surprise, but I'm glad that the USA is decidedly back on top in basketball. Kevin Durant was the Tournament MVP. He was fantastic throughout the tourney, averaging 22 points and 6 rebounds. Very good showing for him.

Thunder fans have a lot to be excited about.

 

Didn't get to watch the game, but SI.com had a good live blog running. At the start, it sounded like I might again be cursing the name Turkoglu, but, as it should be, he didn't have the depth around him the USA did. Also sounded like Durant made this the exclamation point of his coming-out party. Maybe I wasn't so wrong to declare him the second-best player in the NBA last year. I hope he becomes the best.

Good return to glory for the USA here, though, and with a young, undersized team.
