Findswoman is correct. Unlike NaNoWriMo, which states you have to work on something new, you can work on something (or multiple somethings, again unlike NaNo), but only new words added count. So if you have a 5000 word fic in the works and get to 5025, only 25 words count.

My personal list I have going is now up to 11 participants, however, I have decided to only stick with 2 teams (unless we get like a whole lot more), because bigger teams I think will be funner and it is easy to omit/enter in myself to make sure the teams have an equal amount of people.

I just got a brilliant plan in the shower (where all brilliant plans come from). I know I hate it when people change the rules, but we are sill in sign ups and it isn't really changing, it's more like an optional addition. However, it involves me not being on a team no matter what the numbers are, so, I need someone else willing to potentially not be on a team if numbers aren't even (but you'll still be participating! Just as a co-game master).

Basically, how it will work is every week(ish) I will put out an optional mini-challenge. Most will something objective like "here's 200 random words and whoever can put the most into a short story and post by the end of the week wins", but there might be a subjective one where I (and my potential co-game master) will judge and pick the winner. The winner/winning team, will get MY word count (AND the word count of my potential co-game master) for that week added to their scores.

I'm known to be very veritable in terms of word counts (sometimes it's a 100 for a week, other times it's like 3000) so you can judge if the mini-game is worth participating in.

Let me know if you are interested. This might be a good way for someone worried about DRL getting in the way to still participate.

I'm the game-master (not to mention the awesome alliteration academic). Teams (once they are formed) will decide on names, or else I will give them to them (because I'm apparently now a kindergarten teacher).

Sorry folks, but what is this about? I am confused.

So if somebody can write me a PM what this is about, I would be very happy. I am not myself at the moment and will openly explain in the cantina why that is.

 

LAST DAY TO SIGN UP PEOPLE! WE currently have 11 participants with Mav willing to co-game-host with me if needed to make teams even so I can still have my fun with mini games, BUT COME ON! One more participant and I get to torture Mav too!

 

It would be fun for me to participate, but for the second half of February I will not be able to be online. (I will explain that another time.) And so it would not be fair of me to join.
