He was 49. He was 46 - 47 in The Thing. It's crazy. But @Rogue1-and-a-half is correct -- the man could own a screen, whether comedy, drama, or menacing the hell out of Tom Cruise in The Firm. He also refused (?) to get a blue check on Twitter, but everyone knew it was him -- he just apparently couldn't be assed to do it...

Yeah, I should have mentioned his range in my post. He could be this kind of affable old dude, like the uncle you actually like because he's genuinely funny. And then in the next movie, he'd scare the life out of you.

EDIT: I always forget Hard Target is a John Woo movie. I really need to watch that one. That clip is wonderful.
