Joaquín Salvador Lavado, best known as "Quino," died at 88 in Argentina.
Though perhaps little known outside of LatAm, he was considered one of the greatest cartoonists of his generations and created Mafalda, a South American version of Peanuts that was funny, poignant and very political.
Oh, I remember reading Mafalda as a kid. It was somewhat popular here in the late 80s.
