A bit of added sadness. During and a bit after The Beatles broke up they had friction. But recently on the Howard Stern show Paul talked about having made peace with all the band members. he was happy he made peace with John before he died or he was not sure how he could have dealt with it. So recently Sammy Hagar was also on Stern and lamented that to this day Eddie never called him back and he tried several times to reach him.

 

yeah it was so sad because they were one of the bands from the 80s that made it into the 90s with hit albums in 91 and 95, and then Eddie just flipped out and wanted Roth back. Never were really relevant again

 

I think of Eddie every time I need a power cord.

 

Another part of my childhood died today. Listening to 1984 as a six year old and laughing at the album cover made me so cool with my older brother. The For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge tour was one of the first true "grown up' concerts I went to though we all know what that album really stood for LOL! RIP Eddie, hope you and Prince are having a massive power jam with Prince and Jimmy Hendrix in heaven!

UPDATE! Listening to Howard Stern and he said Sammy did not wish to come on for now but gave him a note to tread that explained that he and Eddie had a love fest via text for the past year. They did not wish to reveal that because they did not want reunion tour rumors to start and Eddie did not wish his condition to be public. So they made peace.
