Challenge 2023 Fanfiction Summer Olympics

Quinlan Vos enters the stadium on horseback and takes a victory lap, even though the crowd remains silent because they don't like him very much. It leaves him perfectly indifferent though, because he's here for the showboating, and he performs the Rescue that is expected of him for his triathlon.

By the time he's done, the scoreboard just reads "verbose", because it's only the first part of the Equestrian Cross-Country. Τhe prompt had no upper word limit and the story just ran away from its word count.

We interrupt this broadcast to inform you that a monster appears to have invaded the stadium where the 2023 Fanfic Olympics are held. Our correspondent Kristyann Ah-manpoor has more.

(cut to a live broadcast of the stadium, where spectators are slowly returning to their seats)

"Indeed, Ander-Ssohn, a creature escaped from the ancient history of Kashyyyk dropped from the sky half an hour ago and began to terrorise the crowd. Fortunately, a group of fearless Wookiee decathletes were able to wrestle it down until a cage could be brought. I'm told it's on its way back to the Shadowlands as we speak. I invite our audience to keep an eye out for our special report in which we will expose all the shortcomings of Olympic security: Spawn of Malice: The Tale of the Dark Scourge."

 

As the tennis match concludes, Qui-Gon waves to the cheering crowd and is showered with more roses.

A Togruta volunteer brings Qui-Gon a bottle of ice water and a towel. As he pours the water over his head to cool off, the volunteer is so overcome with emotion that she drops to her knees and proposes marriage.

He offers her a rose and says, "Perhaps in another life, our souls will meet."

The volunteer blissfully holds the rose to her heart as the staff escort her off the field.

Qui-Gon strolls to the other side of the stadium, where he will compete in the: Single Sentence Shot Put.

The audience in the indoor arena look at each other in bafflement when a dozen very large trees suddenly sprout and grow very quickly around the judo mat. They can see that there is some back-and-forth between the Wookiee decathletes and Olympics staff, who seek out the assistance of a translator droid to ensure that they are understanding this correctly. A sigh is finally heard over the loudspeaker, followed by an announcement: "Ladies and gentlemen, the trees can unfortunately not be cut down, as they are sacred to our Wookiee participants. We invite you to squint through the foliage in order to see our next event: Forest Song: The Tale of the Great Canopy."

 

Judo is very fitting for Tarhin Engaron who is recuperating but adamant to attend a funeral in comfort
and the Keana boys are bickering about where to go in the Tennis match and will end up on Serenno to visit the Dooku estate in investigators

As the tennis match ends, Qui-Gon waves to the cheering crowd. Before the next event can begin, a staff member clears all the roses from the field with a backhoe.

A human volunteer brings Qui-Gon a certified organic granola bar and coconut water, because he heard this was his favourite. The volunteer has so many things to say, but can only beam ecstatically in the Jedi's presence. And yet somehow, Qui-Gon understands, and nothing needs to be said.
