    Definitely a teaser. It didn't blow me away (it's more of a vague character introduction than something trying to sell the story premise, though the first half is certainly stronger than the second), but you can see some of the stylistic elements that will be unique to this one- and obviously the fight scenes are going to be amazing. There's enough of a basis there for a really great full trailer in June/July for certain, though.

    Looks pretty good, but......subways.....so many subways. What's the obsession with subways and trains in superhero films? (Spiderman 2, Batman Begins, Captain Marvel, Shang Chi....I'm sure I'm missing a few, right?)

    The one in the Shang Chi teaser was an extended bus. I wouldn't say it's an obsession but a device to force close range fighting. I suppose they could use a hallway like the Marvel Netflix series instead of a mass transit vehicle. :p

    I wonder if Trevor Slattery will make an appearance in this movie. We was summoned by the Mandarin in the Marvel One Shot: All Hail the King.



    On another note, it's interesting the "Ten Rings" are arm bands instead of the traditional finger rings. Too much like the Infinity Stones, perhaps?

    Can anyone explain the appeal of Awkwafina? I thought she was okay in Raya but her energy really didn't match the tone. She kind of soured this trailer for me.

    Awkwafina's appeal comes from her comedic timing and charisma, like her performance in Crazy Rich Asians. She can do dramatic roles too, as demonstrated in the movie, The Farewell. Looks like she'll be the comic relief in Shang Chi.

    Yeah, that too. Which is not a bad thing at all.

    The teaser gives off vibes of Batman's Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins, with the real Mandarin and Ten Rings organization. So happy to finally get that in the MCU as the Trevor Slattery and Aldrich Killian debacle in Iron Man 3.

    Perhaps images or reference to Tony Stark/Iron Man. It's too bad that we probably won't get the Mandarin vs. Iron Man in the MCU anytime soon.
