I have a friend from Finland who said there was a crisis hotline for people in Finland to call to talk about the loss

I like to see the oponents be totally crushed

 

One radiostation on Finland banned word "swedes", cause listeners got angry hearing anything related that notorious game.

Myself? I don't care a heck. Been only once watching for icehockey game, and even then got bored and left before 1st period was over. Not a my kind of sport.

 

Just like football, it's a megaton of CRAP to watch, but quite fun to play.

 

I don't even try to pretend that I didn't care that Finland lost to Sweden. Of course that bothered me. But the point is that Sweden played better than Finland and deserved to win.

On the other hand the way Sweden lost to Canada is just sad. That kind of highly speculative goal is never a good thing. Both teams played excellent hockey and the result should have been unambigious. But after all it's just a game so it should never be taken too seriously. Next year we can again try to do better.
