I’m cautiously optimistic. Hopefully the carryover from Spectre doesn’t drag it down. The trailer itself looks good, but that only means so much.

That was a great trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing Rami Malek's villain, happy to see Blofeld back (I enjoyed Spectre) and the stunt work looks nop notch. I have a good feeling this will be a worthy entry and swansong for Daniel Craig.

Ever wonder what Danny Boyle's film was going to be? They actually made the whole thing. Here's the trailer:

    RIght?!

And how ripped is Danny for being just over 50?! Lost opportunity.

I didn't like the brother twist in Spectre but I do love me some Blofeld so hopefully he's in it more than just "hey this new guy is worse than me byez James!" And I always like when a Bond baddie has physical scarring which is classic. And they keep saying this is Craig's last outing so they'll probably try for more wrap up than usual. I would be totally okay if the baddie is bumped off by Blofeld at the end while he escapes, but that may not be very closure-y.

    Holy ****!

The Bond crew are gonna have a hard time topping that.

I wonder who'll be doing the theme song and if it will have the title and lyrics no time to die?...

Again, my picks: Sting, Noel Gallagher, Annie Lennox, Sade.

I still think George Michael was one of the best that the franchise never hired.

I'm calling it--Malak is Doctor No, finishing this Bond series with the first bad guy. And, well, the title feels like a cheeky wink to me. Not to mention some of the Ken Adam style brutalist villain lair stylings?

I'm hoping for some more over the top bad guy plots (Blofeld's plan in Spectre was kind of far reaching, but rather vaguely explained). Here...there sounds like some sort of brain uploading thing, even?

I dunno, it kind of feels less like a cheeky wink and more like they put a bunch of Bond titles in a learning algorithm and that's what it auto-generated. It's not impossible, but if it were the case I'd start legitimately worrying someone would say the title in the film (but with telling inflection) and the entire audience would instantly be reduced to dust from groaning so hard that something something death.

I basically agree with you. Like, unless the title of a Bond film is a phrase like "License to Kill" (or "Licence to Kill") then specifically going out of your way to say the title is probably a really bad sign. Even the one-word titles that mean something can fail miserably, e.g. "Oh, that's my little octopussy..." -- FFS.

It works in shows like Lucifer where some of the fun is "how in the hell do they work that title into a sentence?!?" But when you have Tom Ellis playing the literal Devil... it works. James Bond... less so.

Well, she was the daughter of Mr White who was a part of Spectre so she has to have some previous evil doings or connections.

i heard that rumor the other day. at least other Bond fans are speculatiing on it and i didn't know whether to bring it up. I think it's dumb to rehash old villains, but after what they did to Blofeld/Oberhauser/thisgenerationsCharlesGrey, it can't be any worse.
i look at the Craig era. It started with a sexiness and a return to a more sarcastic Connery-era humor. The next movie was a revenge film so there wasn't much sexiness. Skyfall basically had M as the Bond-girl. Spectre had Bond and the girl apparently falling in love at some point, not sure when. i don't know. This trailer i don't really see romance or humor. Except a couple quips at Bond's expense. Just one bleak film after another.

Disney’s Iger Teases Bond Franchise Interest

Actually as far as I can see, all Iger has done is make one little comment which probably doesn't mean anything:

    Agreed. I'm hoping for an up with No Time to Die, based on the pattern;

    Casino Royale - good
A Quantum of Solace - bad
    Skyfall - good
    Spectre - bad

I am just watching them through again with my son, we're up to The Man with the Golden Gun. We watched Live and Let Die at the weekend, which is ace.

I can only watch the films in order from drno to now unless its a new film otherwise I like watching it in order , its like traveling throw time in the history of cinema :-B

    A film every year?

They did it before but I would think that's to fast for how films are made today , maybe two years . yes two years would be great

Oh boy could you imagine a 007 film every two years? [face_praying]

I'd say do a bond film every two years for 7 films with bond 7 :-B
