    Spectre's opening wasn't long.

In fact...it may have been shorter than Skyfall?

IDK how long Skyfall's was, but as it was basically one continuous action piece it flowed along pretty quickly, which made Bond's abrupt fall off the train that more impactful.

Come on. That sexy silent one shot, followed by that amazing helicopter action sequence!

I actually think the opening sequence was the only decent part of the film. Once the titles start it's all downhill, imo.

Love the gif, though! I'm still giggling at it.

Edit: my favourite Craig opening is Casino Royale's bathroom fight. Skyfall's pre-credits sequence runs it a close second.

Twenty minutes is long enough that viewers will say "oh wow, I forgot they hadn't shown the opening credits yet" when the pre-credits scene ends. But rumor has it that this movie may be one of the longest (or maybe the longest) Bond movies yet, too.

James Bonding podcast from a few weeks ago said 3 and a half hours like Irishman level long! I could take like Once Upon A time in Hollywood length, 2 hours 40 but honestly I like Bond movies to be zippy in length, if not the pacing of actual scenes. Sometimes when they get too long it's only because the action scenes got bloated, not character stuff.

    The Rise of Scaramanga....

EDIT: just did a bit of research and checked my local cinema which claims it's a 163min film: https://www.hoyts.com.au/movies/no-time-to-die

BUT, this could just be a placeholder figure since the actual rating is still unknown and tickets cannot be pre-ordered.

    163 minute running time.

The question is: epic? Or just bloated?

But like there'll be 30 mins. pre-title sequence , then 10 minutes of dreary singing , and the end credits these days are a good 10 mins.
so with maths and everything thats about 100 minutes in the middle , average movie length.

Who skips a Bond movie pre-title sequence or title-sequence? Those are usually good, even in the mediocre entries, and in the real duds they are easily the best part of the film. It's like telling someone watching a Bruce Lee movie that they can go to the bathroom in one of the fighty bits.

Driving the best Bond cars ever! (Top Gear)

They've taken a car from each Bond actor's era. There were a number of complaints in the comments section about the inclusion of the DB10 over the DBS, and I agree - not only do I think the DBS looks nicer, the DB10 action sequence in Spectre was surprisingly dull. They pick a BMW over the Vanquish, too.
