I'm mainly interested in how you find DAD 'exhilarating' but don't find Casino Royale or Skyfall more so?

It's just a matter of preference.
I think I enjoyed nearly all of the Bond movies until 2002. It was a lot of fun to go to the theater and watch a new one, even if it wasn't perfect, it was still a familiar series and for the most part I could overlook some of the problematic parts.
The Craig movies simply don't work for me at all. They never have and never will. I felt that way in 2006 and still do.
Obviously they work just fine for a lot of people, and I'm happy if they genuinely have a good time watching these movies. But they're just not for me.

yeah they're my faves of his too.

This one has its moments but its too long and the villain is weak.

I thought it was a lot better than Spectre. I recommend the big screen.

In the lead-up to Hitman 3's release on Steam (I refuse to patronise Epic Games), I have been revisiting the first two seasons of the Hitman reboot trilogy. I've always felt that I/O are a worthy developer for a new James Bond game, and indeed I am still keen to see how this plays out for the developer. But, I hope there's more to it than a 007 themed Hitman game. For this reason, I don't believe disguises will play a role in the new James Bond game since it would just amount to being a 007 themed Hitman mod. It could work for a Mission Impossible game, but not so much for Bond.

The best elements of Hitman that, I feel, will work in I/O's 007 game will be:
    • Open ended approaches to finishing mission objectives
    • Atmosphere
    • Pacing
    • Soundtrack
    • Subterfuge as an incentive to unlock certain perks ahead of guns blazing

All of the above can play into the elements that we have been wanting to see more from a James Bond game including hacking, sneaking, seduction/charm, gadgetry, and Walther PPK gun play ahead of AK47s and Bazookas.

No you don’t. I hardly remember Spectre, didn’t much care for it, and thought this was a great film.

Your favorite Bond being Brosnan is a serious violation of this forum’s Terms of Service. You will likely be banned indefinitely.

I grew up with Brosnan being my introduction to Bond, so I’ve thankfully got nostalgia for his films. He’s also easily the most good looking Bond in my opinion.

I find him much better in comedies. He’s absolutely hilarious in The Matador.

He can be good in thrillers too - check out Butterfly On A Wheel, he's brilliant in that as the villain.

Tailor of Panama is a glimpse of what his Bond may have been had he been given more control over the creative choices for his performance, Bond could have even benefited from some of Brosnan's moments in The Thomas Crown Affair.

Certainly Connery, Dalton and Craig are generally considered better-looking than Brosnan, no?

Possibility Connery, but certainly not Craig (not sure what the consensus is on Dalton), I don’t think. I’d argue Craig’s the least traditionally good looking Bond. His attractiveness comes from his swagger and attitude. Bronsan is old fashioned good looking.

Maybe traditionally, re: Brosnan. He’s almost…corporate, if that makes sense. Too blandly pretty. And his character and attitude also always struck me as elite in the most conventional ways. He was also more of an a** than the other Bonds. There’s none of the good heart under the steely surface in his take. For the most part.

    But…opinions vary. :)

Same I grew up with brosnan so all the the campy things people didn’t enjoy I find nostalgic. I agree brosnan has almost the perfect bond look

Connery yes but when Craig was cast everyone was like he’s too ugly to play bond it wasn’t until the coming out of the water scene that everyone changed their minds

Connery id say was the best bond but it’s hard rewatching those old movies with a modern eye with what was seen as acceptable back then and now
