    Hi everyone,

Hope you like the idea of a thread where we can
post positive thoughts to increase our opportunities
to discover and share what ever we have in common,
    especially Star Wars.

I was inspired to do this based on my recent 5-day
    visit to Bloomington October 5,6,7,8, & 9
    for I.U. Homecoming.

Sure 5 and 9 were travel days, but still.

and sure, I was pretty sick on 5 & 6.

but still missed the opportunity to try and do more.

Saw Brian.....we trooped the Homecomming game,
this was way too much fun.

    Saw Mike......I visited Kinko's a lot:)
(I teased him about working there 24-7)
actually, he was very busy....darn work!

    and........thanks to Sara.....
(who hunted me down in the crowd
at the Homecoming pep Rally Friday night),
I saw her......a most wonderful moment
of my extended weekend....but all to quick.

How did you ever escape our marching 100 duties to do that:)

In retrospect, I am not even sure where I posted
that I would be visiting Bloomington this weekend,
But Sara remembered and looked for me....very cool!

and so, I hope you like the idea of a thread
dedicated to just saying hi and staying in touch.

    Ed

    Hi,

well, I started this thread, so I should at least post on it once in a while,

    whaddaha am I up to:)

especially after getting an email from our.......feeless leader......
whew.....thank goodness there are no fees:)

anyway, in STAR WARS world, I have been posting on the Chicago and South Bend boards,
and have stayed in touch with the troopers in Indianapolis.

I am still working on my TK armor, and am trying to build a backpack,
so the TK armor can double up as a SandTrooper as well, am also re-searching
    Biker Scout armor.

Also, have been playing with my Star Wars music (big surprise there),
and hope to have my own custom CD of all my favorite stuff.

Today, I am oberserving 34-yrs at the same job.......who knew?

    I also KJ-ed at a New Years Eve party.....where everyone was so________(fill-in-the-blank)
that we forgot to do a countdown!

My Bloomington plans this year, include the Little 500 weekend
in about 3-months, a visit just for fun in May, and Mini-U at IU in June,

and hopefully some more trooping in INDY.

well, there ya go Eric, per your most recent email request,
I have posted some stuff..........suggest ya all free to use this thread to
    let us know.......

Jennifer and I arrived back in Los Angeles on January 1st after what could best be called a "whirlwind" of a vacation in Indiana. It seemed like every single day Jennifer and I were rushing around shopping, dining, visiting, driving, etc. But we had an absolute BLAST while we were back in Indiana! It was great to see so many people we love (family and friends) and we even had fun doing the crazy Christmas type stuff; shopping, wrapping presents, etc.

This week we've been kind of taking it easy...I was sick during the 31st - 3rd...we managed to get back to the exercise room on Wednesday and we were both so sore that we had to take Thursday off! We're gonna get back to it today, though, and try to maintain the four to five days a week schedule we were on before we left. I know we could both use it after the way we ate in Indiana!!!

Hope everyone is doing well back in Indiana!

Today, I am reading the Jan/Feb 2006 IU alumni magazine,

Page 35 has 73 IU Grad William Grimes in a DARTH VADER helmet!

something about restaurant reviewers needing to hide their identity,

but, it must have been tough to eat with that ting on:)

attended a fun Sci-Fi concert in Indianapolis,

    http://www.indianapolissymphony.org/season/production.aspx?performanceid=566&src=t

It was actually a better concert than the one I saw
in Chicago with the CSO, but then the CSO had John Williams,

    however, INDY was great!

Next Indiana visit, is to IU, in Bloomington for
    the Little 500

    Ed

oh, they played a lot of Star Wars Music, had the 501st in attendance,
and a great display of Star Wars stuff from collectors and others.

yeah, there was some Star Wrek stuff there as well,
....but it was fun to meet Walter Koenig (Chekov) from Star Trek

Like IU Football? Wanna see what the team is made out of, without having to deal with the marathon that is game day? Come to Memorial Stadium this Saturday at 4 pm for the annual Cream and Crimson game. Oh yeah, it's free.

I know it's Easter weekend (do you think the Athetics department has a callendar? Anyone want to chip in and SEND them one?) but it was a great time last year. Yes, the band will be there for your enertainment if the boy on the field fail to do it for ya. No we will no be marching but we will be playing and goofing off, like normal.

    What I'm up to.....
Well Thursday Tammy & I celebrated our 10th wedding annerversity!
We had a nice quit dinner at Opie Tayer's, Which we had never been. And took a small walk around the square. Tonight Tammy and I did a little project. I am starting my first Salt Water tank & we built from a recipe from the net a special type of under gravel filter. It was really nice to build something like that together. We really don't do to many project for fun together. Any way , I am adding Live sand and the salt water to the tank Saturday. I hope to put a damsel fish in it next weekend and then a pair of clown fish in it in about 2 weeks after that. Maybe I'll post a picture of it when I get it up and going.
Well I'm finally getting tired ( 1:30AM ) don't know why in the world I'm still awake since I've been going since 6am this mourning , Or is it yesterday mourning now????

Thought I would repost these dates as more accurate,

June 17 to 23, I will be in the Bloomington area
at MINI University, at Indiana University,

and like my last visit to Bloomington 6-8-06, which lasted
only 2-hours, I am pretty sure, I will see Mike at FedEx Kinkos, again.

as always, wish I could visit more and stay longer,

am unsure of future visits for July and August.

I am hopeful for September and October (HomeComming weekend)

Well, I guess I should post real quick what I am up to.

From now until July 15th I will be working at least 15 hour days running my own fireworks store and overseeing daily operations of close to twenty others. Sorry if I don't answer my cell phone, but I am usually on it almost the entire day.

I get my life back on the 16th of July, and am counting down the days already. :)

In the mean time, you can check out one of our stores in Bloomington on west 3rd street (in the old Buck 'n Dollar). Tell him I sent you and I will make sure he gives ya some free stuff. Try and call me while you are there and tell me how ya think he's doing. ;)

We just got our big "OMG this is what the Hundred is doing this coming season" e-mail and I'm plesaed to announce that our "comepeitive" show (the one we'll take to the Ohio State University and possibly march at the Colt's game) is going to be The Phantom Menace. I'm taking that to mean it's going to be stuff like the opening theme, possibly the Flag Parade and Duel of the Fates. I have to go into the band department tomorrow to pick up a CD and if Colonel is in there I'm going to stop and talk to him about it.

When I have a date for that game maybe a few of you (Ed and Cole) could show up and troop for us or something. I'll ask Colonel if he'd like some local 501st help and maybe get the Indy Vader or something. I don't know............. but yeah. Thought you might like to know that. I expect to see ya'll at least at that game. ;)
