1. A story set during ESB about carrying out what looks like a normal order, but is really inconvenient. This could be on Hoth, in the imperial fleet,
etc.

2. The Skywalkers and Solos celebrate Life Day with newborn Ben Solo. There should be a couple of guest appearances of friends, but a wild rumpus is forbidden.
In fact, Threepio is in charge of keeping everyone in line.

3. Anakin and Padme, between episodes 2 and 3, have just a brief few hours together and have a joint birthday party for each other. No one else is allowed
to interrupt.

Anakin and Padme arranged to share third meal together on the date that was between her Life Day and his. They happened to be in the same place at the same time for a change.

Anakin and Padme had reasons not to give each other gifts for special occasions. They could claim to any who noticed that it was a gift from a 'friend.'

But the things they wanted to give each other would not have platonic contexts.

The times they could break way from their obligations and be together were times they cherished.

On this particular occasion, they savored dishes of crispy fried tubers and thick juicy nerf-steaks with a thick creamy gravy overall.

A fine burgundy wine accompanied the meal.

Dessert was a pastry with flaky crust and fruit filling.

They talked of incidental things, funny and happy memories of the past, dreams of the future.
She mentioned that the Senate was about to bring about a vote of no confidence against the Chancellor since the Clone Wars was dragging on too long.

Bail Organa and Mon Mothma were spearheading it. she knew that Anakin had formed a friendship with the Chancellor, so ehe wondered how he would take the information.

He shrugged and said that there were rumblings amongst the Jedi Council about Sithly machinations.

It was only a matter of time, Padme reflected, when the two sides would converge on a worlds-shattering realization andbe on the cusp of a decision point.

But political happenings were not the only focus of conversation.

The fact that Obi-Wan had left the Order and formed a committed relationship (some claimed he actually married) Satine Kryze of Mandalore!

This shocking turn of events was still the buzz of the HoloNet and the Jedi Temple.

Everyone was scandalized, but Anakin was privately pleased.

He told Padme in no uncertain terms that he was ready to openly avow their relationship since Obi-Wan had 'broken ground' on the entire thing by flouting the entire no attachment rule.

Padme gave the whole matter serious consideration and found the thought very appealing.

As the evening wound down, they listened to soft instrumental music on the sound system and sipped steaming mugs of a sweet beverage.

The evening had been filled with good food, lively conversation, and a deep pervading contentment.

In the coming days, although they did not know what would transpire, they held to this pleasant occasion as hopefully only one of many more to come.

Oh, I love how cozily comfortable all of this was. (And that obi-wan followed his heart!). Not having platonic contexts made me grin. But a “deep, pervading contentment” is where I sighed in real happiness of my own. Thank you!

 

Sometimes it's the little things that matter.
I enjoyed this brief overview of their time here together as well.
My jaw dropped when I got to the point of Obi-Wan leaving the order for Satine. The rascal!

A lovely gift

 

Like Ish said, this was so cosy: the quiet, private evening at home, the mouth-watering food, the soft music, the casual chitchat about happy moments of the past and more such moments to come... but ooooh boy, so many revelations! The whispers of Sithly machinations among the Jedi, the vote of no confidence against the chancellor, and most importantly Obi-Wan leaving the Jedi Order to enjoy his life with Satine, and possibly even marry her?!?!? Amid all the cosiness and comfort, there are signs that this is a galaxy that's on the cusp of major developments, but this version of Anakin and Padmé will be better prepared than their canon counterparts to face it all together!
