A good book on living in London. A writers request.

I'm looking for a good book about London. Not for the tourist type places, It's for some writing I'm working on.

I've never been but always wanted to visit the U.K. I'm sure to get around to it someday and it might sound strange to write about a place I've never been but I guess if I can't be there in person I'll just imagine it as best as I can and dream.
