    I recently started to think how Palpatine would be in the real world, which got me thinking who is the closest politician/dictator/Businessman to the Emperor. I know George said he was based on Nixon but on my mind I Imagine Rupert Murdoch if he was POTUS, with perhaps some elements from Erdogan

    Wow, that is crazy how close they look. The pope is also perfect, because he's supposed to be morally upheld highly. Same as Palpatine when he was chancellor.
