A Canadian JC member called AT-ST_DRIVER visited our little corner of this gigantic discussion forum. He invited us to visit Canadian boards so I thought that I could create a thread for connecting Finland and Canada closer together.

Nothin out of the ordinary happened. Just a couple of dead mynocks and drunk Ewoks were found in the morning. Nothing out of the ordinary just as I said.

 

Another man from rainy Finland salutes Canada!

Did you know that we used to have a tv-show called "Kummeli" where they held music quiz to recognize different anthems. What ever they played the correct answer was always "Canada!" That explains how educated people we finns are, what ever you ask from us we do know the right answer to be "Canada." Show ended over 10 years ago and it's still wellknown to answer "Canada" to any question.

Actually Kummeli has made a comeback, but it's not as good as it used to be.

No, i just talked about a great Finland band i heard and told them they should visit us here, because no one here is actually Atlantic Canadian, except me and all of you new brunswick/prince edward island fools.

Really? I must've been tired. I could've sworn it was dead ewoks and drunk mynocks.

 

Actually it was a good thin that TROOPER visited our forum. We've been thinking how to get more people to visit it, and now we have a possibility: this place.

 

Sooner or later, everyone gets involved with the ACG.

 

Sooner or later FanForce Finland will conquer the JC...

 

Not without the support of the ACG and our obediant British allies.

Hey, Darth_Weirdo, i know this is totally random, but i once heard that there was a European version of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, where Vader/Anakin's head explodes or something. Can you verify that or prove it wrong?

I have some penpals in Finland.

 

Well, I haven't heard anything about Vader's head exploding at any part of the film. And you have to remember that in Finland we may have different version of the film than other European countries, for instance only children movies (like Aladdin and so on Disney movies) are dubbed, but the original version is avaible. But for instance in France and Germany the movies are dubbed if remember correctly. And in the UK in AOTC when Jango headbutts Obi-Wan was cut out. So my guess is that what you've heard is wrong.

Exploding Anakin/Vader head on ROTJ??? Never heard. One of the funniest thing is the finnish translation of several sw-films. Like the legendary ANH scene where Obi hides from troopers behind the Death Star tractorbeamstation. Troopers came in and said "Maybe it's a another drill." Ofcourse the word "drill" was transleted as a mechanic tool you used to have when drilling the holes. The scene did lost all the magic in one wrong phrase.

 

Well, I retired the cage when Adam apologized to the Quebec forum for trying to take over last year...as long as he's not trying to take anything over, he'll be fine...

Hmm...maybe it is time for another war...two of us forums, against one little helpless one... I like the odds...

 

My guess then is that i heard wrong about Vader's head exploding. Still, it'd be pretty cool if it did. and that thing about the drill is hilarious!
