So someone said to talk about a party in this area so here you go.

This fall there's a lot of people that are going to be in Provo so I'd say we all do something.

    Any ideas??

Well, I don't have a place, I'm gonna be living in residence.

I'm assuming most of us (otehr than TotJ) are BYU students? So I'm not sure how large gatherings work with the housing rules...

    Greetings Guys,

If we have a costume party we'll let everyone know first. ;)

Speaking of costumes, here's one party that you can put on your calendar...

Everyone year I throw a huge Star Wars Halloween party. Everyone here is invited to come. If you don't have your own costume, I have plenty that you can wear. You can find pictures of our last two Star Wars Halloweens at http://starwars.8m.com

We should plan to have some get together in September when all you students get here.

And I'll kill... er... maim anyone who tries to stop me!
    Except Handyman, of course...

I've got a Darth Maul costume from a couple Hallowe'ens ago... you can see a pic HERE.

It's also featured in my upcoming FX test/fanfilm "Fightsaber"

I'll let you guys know when it comes out =)

Sorry to change the subject andakin, but I'm curious: Is 80$ a good price for a trooper costume?

My friend can get it for that much, and it sounded like a good price to me. Is it?

    Greetings Toran-Kal,

What type of trooper costume are we talking about here? A full set of Stormtrooper armor? Scout Trooper?

$80 is unheard of for a decent set of Stormtrooper armor. The Studiocreations kit that Spoo is referring to is for Scout trooper armor. To complete that kit, will cost an additional $200-250.

    Additional $200?

You can get a helmet for about $60, how much does the velcro cost?

Or you're probably including leather boots, black flightsuit and custom gloves, aren't you?

    Greetings Spoo,

Here's what you need to complete the kit...

$55 - Don Post Scout Trooper Helmet (Needs modification to look correct)
    $50 - Black Flightsuit
$30 - Black padded Gauntlet Gloves (Not custom made)
$20 - White Rubber Gumball Boots
$20 - Velcro, Elastic, Strapping and other miscellaneous notions
$20 - Shipping costs for helmet, flightsuit, boots (Impossible to find locally)
$5 - Black Fabric for neckpiece and optional hood
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    $200 - Total

    This is the MINIMUM.

    Hope this helps,

Wow. Well, there goes my dream of buying a suit for the sake of it. :p

Still, you could cut down in a few places. The gloves, if I were to buy my own, I would just get some $5 cheap black gloves.
    Rubber boots, paint them white.
    Normal black clothes from DI
The Helmet would be the most expensive item left...

Oh well, I'm not gonna do it, why should I bother speculating?

It's just the storm trooper costume that I can get. And I'm pretty sure that its the whole deal, custom made to fit and everything.

But since you say that's very cheap I better check into it and see exactly what its like.

    Greetings Toran-Kal,

Yes, you better check this deal out. It sounds too good to be true to me. Are you sure it's not the Rubies Adult Stormtrooper Costume? You can see this cheap immitation HERE.

A typical UNASSEMBLED KIT of Stormtrooper armor goes for about $500. That does not include the black undersuit, neck seal, gloves, or boots.

If it is legit, you've just scored bigtime! ;)

    Hope this helps,

Dang that immitation looked like crap!!

Well, I haven't actually talked to the guy that does it, but I talked to my friend that knows him. He said that its a custom made, to fit, trooper outfit.

If he is legit then maybe I can get you guys hooked up too.

But you'd better make sure before handing over any $$$.

It could be a custom fit cloth suit =)

That would be awesome to do!! If all of us can ever get together, with costumes, I'd say we do it.
