Ahsoka Ahsoka Episode 1.05 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

This is where the fun begins.

 

The Noghri looked great in this one. As did the Spooky Troopers. Maybe they should be called Swarmtroopers? The time travel turned out better than expected. Bringing Rey back to the past was a good idea.

 

What I liked the most was The Guardians of the (New) Galaxy crossover,
especially Grogu saying his first real words while meeting Groot:

" I AM GROOT!,,
"I AM GROGU ! "

DISCLAIMER: I Joke about it but I have nightmares about this!

And also Kk's cameo as resurrected zombie nightsister mother Talzin was chef's kiss!

 

I expect this Episode a few unanswered questions from episodes 1-4; the Chase is on!

Anakin Skywalker was Darth Vader? I did not see that coming! Wow, what a plot twist!

 

I doubt we even reach the new galaxy this episode

 

I wasn't expecting Jacen to run off and join the French Foreign Legion.

I did not expect a musical episode. Have to say, though, that this "Under the Sea" rendition (sung by Ahsoka and Anakin) was better than the one in the new Little Mermaid.

Ahsoka: What do they got? A lot of sand.
Anakin: Yuck!

Too funny.

 

So the galaxy Thrawn is in is our galaxy but 65 million years ago... where he meets Adam Driver's character from the movie 65. Thrawn convinces the Adam Driver character to go back to the Star Wars galaxy where he'll become Kylo Ren, thus confirming Snoke is Thrawn in disguise! My head is spinning!

 

Thrawn is purple now?

Chopper: Oh! Thrawn's fuchsia now!

Ahsoka: Thrawn's fuchsia now.

 

Cant believe that in this episode we said goodbye to the old Star Wars galaxy for good. Ahsoka saying farewell to Anakin forever was touching, but the twist that came during the last minute - when Anakin asks if he can erase his Midichlorian account and join her- for a new beginning - as a farmer in the new galaxy - was a bit shocking.

Also. Why did they play an NSYNC song during the end credits?

…..help.

 

You might be right; I'm guessing the journey there, even tho in hyperspace, will take some time. After all, in ANH the hyperspace journey from Tatooine to Alderaan had enough time to give us scenes of Luke training with his new lightsaber and Chewie and R2 playing holochess. I hope we get some scenes inside the Eye of Sion during their journey to Peridea...I'm very interested in what all those characters aboard have to say to each other during their travels. There's also the obvious WBW stuff that's gonna happen with Anakin and Ahsoka which will take up runtime (they potentially have a lot to talk about,) as well as Hera most likely having to deal with the fallout and repercussions of her (failed) unsanctioned mission which incurred casualties. However I think we will reach Peridea by at least the end of the episode. Maybe even see Thrawn. A big maybe, but I'm throwin it out there.

 

Um, why aren’t you pretending to have seen episode 5, and why aren’t you writing fake nonsense about it?

 

Too serious too soon?

 

It should have tripped my spidey sense when they mentioned, during the final approach to Peridea, that it was the third planet in its system, and had a single moon... but for some reason I didn't pick up on it.

So the shock when that Stegosaurus lumbered past their landing site was real, and the implication hit me about what exactly this galaxy was and more specifically what exactly "Peridea" was. I felt a cold feeling in my guts.

I guess that's me pretty much done with SW. RuInEd FoReVeR!

 

I guessed a lot of things right, but not that the Statue of Liberty is Thrawn.
