Aliens Vs. Predator Movies Discussion Thread (First 5 Minutes of AVP2 Online Legally!)

They're definitely improvements over the posters for the original AvP, hopefully we'll get some high-res versions soon.

 

The predalien pics look pretty cool. That clip was pretty interesting as well.

Are those supposed to be buildings or monuments? I can't tell.

 

I don't know about you guys, but I think this series is setting up for a big full scale war between the Predator species and Alien species. And I bet the third movie will show the full scale war in the future time period.

First 5 Minutes of the Film!

 

I love that image of the predator homeworld, simply fantastic. As for a third film, a full-scale war could work out nicely.

 

Those five minutes were interesting. The Predator homeworld doesn't look quite like I had thought it would. I figured it'd be more jungle-esque...

After that five minutes, I think I may just duck out on Christmas for the movie.

 

An interesting picture. If they do have a full scale war in the future I hope they have the Colonial Marines involved some how.

 

Those first five minutes were awesome! And I'm always up for a sequel if this does good enough.

 

It looks cool, but I had to laugh --if the movie is supposed to take place in Colorado, then why does the forest look like the pacific northwest?

And if the dad and son are hunting, then why aren't they wearing orange hats & vests like they are supposed to?

And when is the warm season deer hunt legal? I don't think it's legal to hunt in Colorado during the summer --only the late fall.

Not to mention, if the Preds knew there was a Xenomorph outbreak on Earth, why only send one hunter --don't you think sending a squad of them would make more sense?



...sorry for the nitpicking, but I live in Colorado and have gone hunting and have spent a LOT of time in the mountains. And i just couldn't watch those 1st 5 minutes without laughing out loud at how stupid Hollywood is --that they couldn't get a few simple details correct. They are called the ROCKY Mountains for a reason. Oh well, it'll be fun for a blood fest, but i don't think I could take this seriously. I really wish they would've kept it in the future, with the Colonial Marines instead. That would've made the suspension of disbelief easier to swallow. Instead, I'll be watching this, knowing that they couldn't make it look like Colorado if they wanted to.

 

wow...essentially film plot in 5 minutes...ha.

Was the hurt Pred just sending a distress signal...why didn't he nuke the ship and the whole mess as soon as they knew they were gonna crash?

Sadly...I can already see the next scene...small town mainstreet...couple of teenagers...the first cleavage of the film...you know...wholesome Americana before the monster gets to town.

this is gonna be a drinking game movie, I know it.

 

This is speculation on my part, but I always figured whenever a Predator 'self-destructed,' the others back on home knew. Like it sent out a message to them. And didn't the Predator start it, and then was killed? It made the same noises as previous 'self-destruct' sequences in the Predator movies.
