Am I the only person who listens to Star Wars music in their car?

Dark Empire is pretty rough. There's some cool added scenes, though.

I like the radio drama in the car. But it's easy to zone out. Especially during the funny bits. Like the one in Return of the Jedi in a scene set after Luke went off to Dagobah and the rest of the gang is in the Falcon heading for the Rebel fleet.

Han: Leia, you're not going to throw away that outfit, are you?
    Leia: (slyly) We'll see.
(she leaves and Lando walks in)
Lando: So, what do you think of you're baby Han? Smooth, sleek...
    Han: You watch yourself, Lando!
Lando: What's up your afterburner? I was talking about the Falcon.
    Han: Oh...

    Think I almost crashed laughing.

I'll have you know... that reading this thread inspired me to put my Star Wars music in the car, and now I'm on a soundtrack kick!

    OH MY GOD.

Probably one of the most epic little moments of my life happened a few months ago. I was on a long drive home (LA to San Diego) and I was in a "movie music" kind of mood, so I played a lot of Star Wars, some Inception, Cloud Atlas, a little Halo. Then, as I got closer to home, the last song I played was the end credits to Revenge of the Sith.

(If you've never listened all the way through, do it NOW)

The song ended at the exact moment that I pulled into the driveway. The moment was borderline spiritual.

I have such a huge appreciation for that track in particular. John Williams, who didn't think he'd ever be involved in this universe again, threw everything he had into those end credits. Great stuff.

Lately I've been popping in the Empire Strikes Back: Special Edition soundtrack - the same 2 CD set my family has had since I was 8 or 9. I love it when I get out of the car and I have tracks like "The Asteroid Chase" or "Hyperspace" or "Clash of Lightsabers" stuck in my head - as a refreshing change of pace from usual Maiden, Sabbath, Zeppelin, or Rush. (My CD selection is not the seat of variety.)

I put this on my iPod a few weeks ago. A friend thought it was K-pop.

I have done it the odd time. I have every OST except for TPM on my ipod. Though I do have Duel of the Fates from TPM. And I have an alpine headunit with built in ipod support, so yeah. I mean, mostly I wouldn't listen to SW music in the car. Mostly it would be... well, anything actually. Metal, hip-hop, trance, techno, dubstep, classic rock, country, punk, grunge... a whole smorgasbord of stuff. But sometimes if I'm in the mood, yeah, Star Wars music gets played. I actually have several soundtracks on there. Mortal Kombat, Blade 2, Menace II Society etc, a weird assortment.

Star Wars music has always been my antidote for stress, so I have a playlist on my MP3 player of nothing but Star Wars tracks that I can listen to when I get stressed at work. And my car radio has a USB port, so I can plug it in there and decompress on the way home. If you're having a bad day I can't recommend "Yoda's theme" enough. It always makes me think of the line "Fear, anger, agression. The Dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow. Quick to join you in a fight.". It's very centering :D.

Heck yeah, I'd listen to Star Wars music in my car!!

    ...if I had the music...

    ...and a car...

    ...and knew how to drive...

    ...this is so depressing...

I play this anywhere I have a computer or ipod... I love SW, but other soundstracks are great too... Battlestar Galactica being mind-blowing good. I prefer ESB- the best soundtrack of the 1980's... Duel of the fates and Battle of Heroes tickles my fancy too.

Tons of James Bond soundstracks are excellent too! With the exception of two, maybe.

In the summer time anyway, when some a-hole is blasting some awful pop ear rape, I will pull up and blast the Imperial March or throne room... I love being a SW NERD!

I do have a CD of my favorites in my car. I have to admit driving in a blizzard to The Asteroid Field is quite a thrill.

Via Spotify I've got a playlist with a few of them on that I listen to while driving.

    Kenobi's Death/TIE Fighter Attack
    Imperial March
    Battle of Endor Medley 1-3
    The Asteroid Field
    The Clash of Lightsabres

    Duel of the fates
    Battle of Heros
    Binary Sunset
    Across the stars
    Victory Celebration

All my songs of choice for when I'm on a relaxing drive up some hills or mountains. All are very sombre, allowing me to think things through. God I love John Williams.

I've listened to SW music in my dad's truck. I really like Light of the Force, Binary Sunset, Imperial March, Duel of the Fates, Brother and Sister.

I regularly play the theme from the battle of Endor while weaving in and out of ATL traffic. I like to pretend all the other cars are tie fighters and I pick them off by passing them.

I met MECO on these very boards years and years ago. He sent me a few signed copies of his disco SW album. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of 70's disco- but it's a fun listen. I remember giving a copy to Chyren as a peace offering (I was fortunate to be on friendly terms with him), he loved it. :)

I've listened in my car to SW soundtracks as well as others like the soundtrack to Ridley Scotts Kingdom of Heaven and The LOTR soundtracks. Definitely gonna bring some for my big road trip in May 7-8 hours NJ to Maine for my younger brothers wedding.

    Not by a long shot.

I still have the score on vinyl record, received as a gift in 1978... but it doesn't play in the car.
